Components appear to be missing on Photoshop CS5 since listening off PC by shop

Since my PC Windows 7 went to the shop for cleaning following a virus suspect my Photoshop CS5 seems to have some missing components.

I can enter in CS5 (I had updated since CS3 earlier in the year and now I can't get into CS3 even if the icon is still there.) and upload a photo and use the basic tools, but I can't use a large number of ACTIONS: either I get error messages like "Pen" command is currently not available, or "the channel mixer command is currently not available"

  • Photoshop CS5: OpenGL turns off as soon as I open a document

    Hi all

I am facing a problem, I do not understand with Photoshop CS5 since I bought a

    new monitor two weeks ago.

I had a monitor 17 inch Dell and Nvidia card with 500 MB of RAM and everything worked

    fine.

Two weeks ago, I bought a 27 inch Dell U2713HM. I noticed that the option OpenGL in Photoshop

has been disabled, and so I couldn't turn the canvas easily. I thought it could be the graphics

only 500 MB of memory card live available, and since then I was now running at a resolution of 2560 x 1440,

more RAM was necessary for operations such as rotate. I went and bought a Nvidia

GTX630 with 4 GB of RAM. Still, it has not fixed the problem and there is nothing I can do to activate

    the OpenGL option.

If I open Photoshop, I can see in the map preferences is known very well, and I can play

with the amount of RAM, I want to leave free. However, as soon as I open a document or I create

(even as low as 100px by 100px) another option is disabled and photoshop complains that the

document is not active OpenGL. If I go back to 17-inch screen, this new graphics card

also works very well. So I don't think that it has nothing to do with the graphics card.

I've updated all the drivers for the graphics card, motherboard, and everything is available.

Any ideas about why this is happening? Its a shame, that with the biggest nicer monitor I have

cannot take full advantage of some of the features of Photoshop. It also makes the zoom and the other

things are going a bit not smooth.

    Thank you

  • QuickTime player invisible/missing in photoshop cs5

My quicktime player appears invisible/missing when I try to make GIFs in Photoshop cs5. I can drag the autour in the black box, but I can't use SHIFT + arrow. The volume is displayed when I click on the area where it suppose to be. I really need to know how to solve this problem in order to continue to make gifs.

    Hi bamxxvillexx66,

Please use the Apple Support communities to post your question. It looks like your QuickTime player does not launch as an editing application in your Photoshop CS5. You can try to uninstall and reinstall the QuickTime application.

Uninstall of QuickTime 7 for Windows

    Download QuickTime 7.7.9 for Windows

This should have your QuickTime application works with your Photoshop as it should. Making GIF happy!
    Take care.

  • Model photo with white #ffffff background appears gray on line, using Photoshop CS5.

Aloha! I am confused with this and need your help.

Here's what I want to do: create a transparent white border around my photo on a white background (blog post box is white). I use Photoshop CS5.

I tried saving the file as PNG, GIF, and JPG, but all appear as gray in the region I want as white.

Picture below, it's as well as my image appears on a white background. The area around the photo and behind the word "example" is the grey area which is white #ffffff on PS but otherwise appears when you post online (my blog on Blogger).

The top image is a PNG file, the background is a GIF image. The GIF is a little better but still gray. I would like to the surroundings to be white pure, so just, it blends into the white background (post region).

This is the image I see on PS, it is white in the areas around the center of the photo, that's how I intend to the final image to look like:

    Postage-Test.jpg

I even chose my background (while creating a new document) in white for the background color. I even tried a transparent background, but everything what was making worse it and turn the background transparent to black when I post the image online.

If someone wants to help me with this, I would really appreciate your help.  Thank you very much!

Problem solved. I also posted in the forum of my blog and discovered that there is a problem. The blog platform I was using 'Blogger' recently introduced changes to the system and part of the change "auto-renforcee" photos, that's why my photos came with this shade of gray. I had to go into my settings and delete the auto-Enhancer. Oh my god!

Mylenium, I appreciate your efforts! It is good to know that the support is there in this community. Thumbs up!

  • Adjustments of LR not appearing is not in Photoshop CS5

I just upgraded to LR4. I started to edit a new shoot (Nikon raw files). I did usual BM and changes in lighting to develop multiple images and then open them in photoshop CS5. The first 3 opened as usual with LR adjustments. The 4th file opened WITHOUT LR adjustments. So I closed photoshop and tried the files that had worked before. Now, they also will not appear in photoshop with LR adjustments. I do not change the settings between when it worked and where it does not. I also NEVER had happen in LR3. I do not receive the dialog box that asks if you want to open with LR adjustments or not.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Beth

PS CS5 is not yet able to interpret the development parameters newly introduced/changed of LR4.

You can do one of the following:

    A. go to preferences and reset all warning dialog boxes. On the next edition, LR will warn you that the ACR is not compatible. Choose 'make with Lightroom '. This will open the PS picture exactly as it is rendered in Lightroom. The only drawback is that the new TIFF or PSD file is generated * front * PS opens, so it cannot be ruled out by simply closing it in PS. There is a disadvantage of small achievements, too (because of the file originally written by LR + read by PS).

    B. install the release candidate of 6.7 of ACR in Photoshop. This version is able to interpret the new LR4 development settings. However, there seems to be some inconsistencies in the record (he sometimes makes it a bit brighter than LR, see here: http://forums.adobe.com/thread/974963?tstart=0), so I would recommend variant a. for now.

  • Missing menu items Photoshop CS5

When my business has improved my Photoshop CS5 (version 6.0.1) a few years ago, I noticed that some menu items were no longer available. I didn't think too much of it, but I just finished watching a tutorial and they showed one of these options for CS5. The two I can think of to are Image = > Adjust = > Gamma and tone dark / light tones. How can I not, and how to bring them back? I've looked everywhere but can't find it in one of the forums.

I don't know what you have. I've owned Photoshop since v 5.0.2 (1998) and anything marked CS5 is not version 6, it has the 12 version.

Reference: history of version of Adobe Photoshop - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia has the dates and numbers.
