Model warp around a central point - advanced transform?

Hello!

My name is David and I am having trouble with a pretty hard distort, it is still not possible, but I thought that if anyone could help me it would be you, the wonderful people of Adobe forums.

Basically, I'm trying to distort a pattern on its center point, in a radial Mansion (the template file is obviously square in photoshop). If you imagine the model on a flat surface, the string I am trying to achieve is as if one had to enter the central point of the surface and remove it directly from the side - see image below for the Visual...

warpexample.jpg

I am trying to reach a model which is a flat file, but looks like you're looking directly at the end of a pointed tip of a cone that used to be a flat surface with the boss on this subject.

I have attached a link to a template file here - http://tinypic.com/r/2iu5mo0/6

I know it's a little obscure string but I would be very grateful if any of you, photoshop gurus could help me! If you have any questions please just shout!

Thank you very much

David.

Edit - Sorry I should probably mention that I'm CS5.5 under Windows 7.

Extended?

If so, try 3D > new shape from layer > cone.

  • How can I rotate a shape around a central point in Illustrator?

    Hi all

    I'm doing a template in Illustrator and I need to repeat a form around a center point, a bit like putting the petals around the stigma of a flower. I can do it in Photoshop by dragging the center point of the bounding box where I want to rotate the shape around, how can I do in Illustrator?

    I also want to set this as a pattern/shape and use in Photoshop, how do I go about this?

    Thank you very much

    Select the object, and then select the rotation tool, and then the option to draw cross-shaped icon to where you want the object to turn around. When you release the mouse, the rotation dialog box appears and you can enter the degrees that you want to rotate rotte of the will of this pivot point.

    You can drag to this point and then rotate manually the object by using the rotation tool.

  • Moving from a central point objects

    Hi all.

    I'm looking to find a way to move multiple objects from a distance from a central point.

    Say, for example, move the numbers on a clock in the Center.

    Put the scale adjusts the size, moving moves in the 1 direction.

    Any ideas?

    Is the best I have at the moment: select all, then expand with Alt Shift drag, then appearance Panel allows you to reduce the size, and then edit > decaying appearance.

    Kind regards

    Kevin.

    Try scaling first and by reducing the size with object > transform > transform each. You must do the math to calculate the scale factor for size reduction.

  • Turn around a specific point

    I have a script that creates the symbols on the geological maps, positions and turns them in their correct orientation.  However, I don't know how to rotate around a specific point (not the center of the Group). The part of the script in question is:

    If {(dlg.symbol.bedding.value)

    myLine = var stGroup.pathItems.add ();

    myLine.stroked = true;

    myLine.setEntirePath([[posx,posy],[posx+3,posy]]);

    myLine.strokeWidth =. 75;

    myLine = var stGroup.pathItems.add ();

    myLine.setEntirePath ([[posx, posy - 6.75], [posx, posy + 6.75]]);

    myLine.stroked = true;

    myLine.strokeWidth =. 75;

    stGroup.rotate(-azi);

    }

    and I want to rotate around the point [posx, posy].  How to achieve this?

    Have you tried resetting your original document temporarily to the posx, posy. Use the transformation of source document as the point of rotation matrix and reset the origin of the document to its original position?

  • Online rotate a chart xy around the zero point

    Hello

    I want to trace the path of my robot of Assembly of a bluetooth mouse, so when the robot moves, the mouse cursor changes and I can trace the path in labview.

    My problem is that, although turning the robot, the mouse is going too but the cursor is still on the way staigth. My question is that how can I turn the graph xy online so I can trace the path of this trick.

    Thank you

    Mohammad

    Movement on a 2D plane (I guess that your robot is rolling on the floor) takes three parameters to specify the location and orientation, X, Y, and topic.  Most of the mice are designed to give you X and Y, assuming that you maintain a constant heading.  I just tried to turn my Logitech mouse and noticed x and moved a lot - is because the sensor is eccentric in mice, so rotation got "mapped" in X and Y, but don't not the position.

    You can solve this problem using both mouse and 'do the math' (may take a few tries to get the correct constants) to map the rotation out of mouse.  Note that the choice of the origin of your robot spots (compared to the "origins" of the mouse) is also important.

    Finally, the plot you want to is probably not a 'mobile' slider (since I don't know an easy way to rotate a slider) but a simple representation of your robot to move around on the screen.  Christian Altenbach recently answered a 'math problem' Jeff Bohrer post where he created such a display (maybe a week) - give him credit for the design if you are 'borrowing '.

  • turn the central point

    When I do a layer of a transformation, I want to move the focus to a specific coordinate of the image. How to do this with script, because I have to do hundreds of times. Thank you!

    If you don't want to use one of the preset positions anchor you use action Manager.

    function transform( x, y) {// anchor position as pixels
        var desc = new ActionDescriptor();
            var ref = new ActionReference();
            ref.putEnumerated( charIDToTypeID('Lyr '), charIDToTypeID('Ordn'), charIDToTypeID('Trgt') );
        desc.putReference( charIDToTypeID('null'), ref );
        desc.putEnumerated( charIDToTypeID('FTcs'), charIDToTypeID('QCSt'), charIDToTypeID('Qcsi') );
            var desc7 = new ActionDescriptor();
            desc7.putUnitDouble( charIDToTypeID('Hrzn'), charIDToTypeID('#Rlt'), x );
            desc7.putUnitDouble( charIDToTypeID('Vrtc'), charIDToTypeID('#Rlt'), y );
        desc.putObject( charIDToTypeID('Pstn'), charIDToTypeID('Pnt '), desc7 );
        desc.putUnitDouble( charIDToTypeID('Wdth'), charIDToTypeID('#Prc'), 100 );
        desc.putUnitDouble( charIDToTypeID('Hght'), charIDToTypeID('#Prc'), 100 );
        desc.putBoolean( charIDToTypeID('Lnkd'), true );
        desc.putEnumerated( charIDToTypeID('Intr'), charIDToTypeID('Intp'), charIDToTypeID('Bcbc') );
        executeAction( charIDToTypeID('Trnf'), desc, DialogModes.ALL );
    };

  • Link the Eloqua Customer Central points to EU and Topliners... what support?

    Hello.. just noticed that links to areas of support have changed once again.

    The only way I can now seem to access my case is if I go to Eloqua today and you click on the link.  Usually, I'm in the middle of troubleshooting of an article and it was very nice to be able to hit this "Customer centric" link at the top of the page and choose if I wanted to go to Eloqua University, community (Topliners) or the Support Portal...  WITHOUT having to waste my place inside Eloqua itself that I start have reported/double checking the items on the new case (IE, taking screenshots, to check if there are solutions or if I can consistently reproduce the problem - whatever it is, etc, etc.).

    Or is it possible that the link is there, but instead of horizontally as before, I'm not vertically and my IE is not let me scroll down?  (I noticed this before with Eloqua sites... Something very wobbly and I am not able to scroll all the way to the bottom of the page at all).

    Otherwise, anyone having this problem or is it just me?

  • How to remove the white outline around cursor?

    Is there a way to remove the white outline around the black slider? For example, the reticle on the selection tool is black, but they have a white outline around the central point and 4 lines. How can I remove this outline in white? The outline makes it much more difficult to be precise with the cursor. (I use Photoshop CS6 on Windows 7).

    I don't know other settings for the sliders as those in the preferences.

    If I'm working on a bright image, I hardly notice the bright outline.  I use the browser to zoom in before, so for me, the selection is very precise.  And of course, I almost keep everything in separate layers.

  • rotate multiple objects on their own central axis

    Try to rotate several objects on their own central axis at the same time.

    a great moment of sleep would be to be able to select all, then select the rotation tool and option to rotate on own axis, so instead of all the objects revolving around a central point, they all turn on their central axis... big time saver for me if it is possible, its very useful for me with things like , twigs, leaves, grass, many other forms where I want Angel them all in another direction but only rotate on its axis not around a point swing...

    I would like this:

    Create 3 circles and line up like this (alignment with the anchor (use of guides).

    Then rotate/duplicate make a circle around the central point of 120 ° with the roate tool

  • Rotation of a series of forms

    I have a series of points in a line and are animated to change color. I need to run this line of points 45 degrees, but when I use the tool rotation it moves just them around a central point.

    Is there a way I can simply rotate as you would in other software such as Photoshop Adobe?

    Thank you very much

    The shape tools are great! They are very powerful, but they are also quite complex.

    How you did it will change what you do.

    The layer itself has a point anchor adjustable, rotating and other transformation properties, but each group of shape layers has its own set of properties of transformation also. You will need to twirl in your shape layer and find the value of rotation that you want. You may need to adjust an anchor point or two.
