  Hi all

  I had deleted my AE < folder Plugin, new blue Cartoon.

  A window appears which says "area files associted with deleted items were found. (I think that it action caused by CNET, I downloaded it recently to check automatically updates)

  There was a choice to Confim or basket to check (I don't remember exactly what he said) or cancel.

  I assumed that these files were directly related to what I throw and the computer was collected files, I didn't need, so I chose TRASH.

  When I looked in the trash all kinds of scripts, folders, effects and plugins that I know are associated with AE were there.  Nearly 200 different items.  I could cry right now.  But at least I have the items in the trash, I don't know where they all belong.

  Some items are things I downloaded thanks to tutorials (QubaHQ Splatter_Type), others are trial versions (Magic Bullets), or scripts, I bought and some I have no idea where they came from or where they belong.  There are a few empty directories and I wonder if the content was out, but there are also folders that have content in them.  And then there are for example TrackerViz.jsx and TrackerViz.png.  I know where the script goes but the .png I know the idea.

  Return to the folder AE the one left in the plug-in folder is AEFlame.plugin and NewBlue.  The new blue is what I was throwing and its always there and everything elseis in the trash. I do not think this *.

  In my AE < folder Preset stay only on the record of the presets I created.

  In my AE < file Scripts / y the Duac file is here with a script in it (I think there were several)

  In my AE < Templates folder there is a model, I've never been in this file before, so I have no recollection of full, it was.

  Judging by this Im hoping that all the stuff in the trash come from these files from Applications < AfterEffect and no hard drive < library < Application Support < etc... or some other place < plugin etc...

  If anyone can help in any way it would be deeply appreciated this last day of the year. Even if you can tell me where the itmes 2 or 3 go eventually I'll get them all back in place.

  If you do not have the possibility to put in place then you will need to re - install or carefully watching another system and return things manually. With about 200 items, I think it would be faster to run the uninstall, then re-install. It takes about 15 minutes on my machine to do all the Master Collection.

  Hi JP,

  Please contact technical support for your computer manufacturer - you'll need be specific enough on the details and specifications to get the right answer (it varies not only by the manufacturer, make and model, but by the internal components and BIOS versions)- and ask for the procedure (if necessary - and it is usually) to set up a BIOS password.

  This can then be assigned to be required before you can start by any other method.

  And Yes, there is probably another way to get around that - but it would be much more difficult and almost certainly need to open the computer on a variety of procedures for workarounds.

  It is usually sufficient protection for most people who want an extra layer.
