Hi Siva,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I understand that you want to edit PDF files stored in your system or you can also convert files into word documents. I'm afraid that there is no built-in functionality in Windows to edit PDF files, however, you could search with your favorite search engine to find third-party publishers of PDF or PDF DOC converters in order to serve the purpose.

Warning: Using third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

If the system hangs or crashes, please refer to the procedure described in the following article:

8.1 Windows, Windows 8 or windows 7 hangs or freezes

Important: Please see items from 8.1 to Windows or Windows 8 only.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

Hope this information is useful. Let us know if you need more help, we will be happy to help you.

  • How can I change or modify the windows logon screen?

    I want to change the image and the sound at startup of windows

    Hi, Germain,.

    Thanks for posting your query in the Microsoft Community Forums.

    According to the description, it seems that you wish to change or modify the Windows logon screen and also, you want to change the sound of the system. I will help you in this problem.

    For the opening of window screen:

    Change the logon screen background is not supported by default in Windows 7. You will need to consult a 3rd party program.

    Note:

    With the help of third-party software or a link, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third party software or link can be resolved. Using third-party software or a link is at your own risk.

    For the Windows startup sound:

    I suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps.

    (a) click Start, select Control Panel, sounds and click on tab "sounds".

    From there, you can select the individual and change them in the drop-down list of the default sounds provided by Windows. If you want your own sound select it using Browse. Remember that it should be in format WAV for Windows to run. After you click apply and Ok.

    I hope it helps. If you have any questions about Windows in the future, please let us know. We will be happy to help you.

  • ScanJet 4890 cannot scan to PDF (windows vista)

    Recently, I replaced a 6 years Dell Latitude 810 runnung XP pro with a Dell E6520 running Windows 7 64-bit. I installed my Scanjet 4890 using the Windows Vista software and driver (using the compatibility check). I can scan documents to a printer, .jpg, .tif and .gif, but I can't scan to Adobe Acrobat (not an option, I can select). On the 810, I could sweep Acrobat. Can anyone offer any suggestions? Thank you.

    I hacked my way to a solution:

    1. place the document in scanjet, connect to the computer, turn on scanjet;

    2 launch the scanjet analysis, NO Office, with (document) at the far left button on the top of the cover of scanjet;

    3. answer questions on the "Scan button scan" window that pops up just:

    -Click on the option button "Document" and one of the 3 color choices;

    -in "Scan to:" dropdown list, choose 'Save to file';

    -in "file type:" drop-down list, choose one of the options PDF.

    -other options can be selected as required;

    4. click on the button "Scan" (lower left corner of the window);

    5 answer questions on the window "Scan to file Save Options button Scan" which has just popped up.

    6. click 'OK' (at the bottom of the window);

    7 analysis program will launch; Navigate as always;

    8. when all documents have been scanned, will find your document in the selected directory 5, above.

    I hope this helps!

  • When the option is RECENTLY MODIFIED in Windows Explorer in Windows 7?

    In Vista, there was a practical option in Windows Explorer under LINKS FAVORITES, called RECENT CHANGES.  Go to C:\Users\USERNAME\Searches\Recently Changed.search - ms.  I used it a lot to make sure I got the files saved as my USB key that I've changed.  In Windows 7, I see some RECENT LOCATIONS, but no RECENT CHANGES.  How can I go back for RECENT CHANGES?

    Hello SDieker,

    An another workaround of sorts is to use recent as the location looking for recently changed. If you type lately in the address bar of Windows Explorer, you can view all the latest files/folder/program/etc. I then sort by modified Date to see what has been changed recently.

    Hope that helps.

    How can I remove a PDF of my Windoesphone? Not only the last list but completely used?

    There are several ways on each mobile Acrobat product to remove the files. For Windows Phone:

    1. Long press on a file and select "Delete" from the context menu
    2. Press the button 'Select' in the application toolbar, select one or more files, and then press the button 'delete '.

    This works for all sources of files. Please let us know if this or don't work for you. If it isn't, could you please further describe what you're trying to do, and what happens when try you it?

    Thank you!

  • Cannot modify PDF even if I paid for the subscription to do.

    I am connected to my paid subscription to Adobe Acrobat Pro DC. However, when I try to edit a PDF file (open from Dropbox) I am always prompted to purchase the package.  When I followed the instructions for 'More' and 'Subscribe now', the window adobe recognizes that I am already connected.

    Yet I am denied access to my PDF editing.  What I'm missing here?

    Once you sign up and pay, you must download and install Adobe Acrobat Pro. Looks like you open your pdf files into the free Reader still.

  • JavaScript in the PDF window?

    I came across a Javascript application that can emulate a 486 computer.  I'm looking to embed this application in PDF format.  Is this possible?

    I read on Javascript in PDF files, and it seems that an application cannot have its own window.  Who can tell me the answer is no, but if someone knows can confirm I would appreciate it.

    Here is a link to the application: http://bellard.org/jslinux/

    Thank you!

    -Rick

    Is not possible. Acrobat JavaScript is different for the JavaScript used in web browsers, it can be run from the debug console in Acrobat but it cannot emulate a console, nor can embed you anything in a PDF file that attracts the DHTML objects.

  • PC has Adobe Pro 8, Adobe Reader 9, cannot modify PDF tab in the properties

    Hey all,.

    I have a user with the above configuration.  Even if I told windows to open a PDF file with adobe pro 8, the Properties tab after right click the PDF file is grayed out and cannot be changed, just like a pc with only the reader on the subject.

    Any way around this without uninstalling the adobe 9 reader?

    Actually, no. It is not recommended or supported for Reader and Acrobat on the same Windows System. You have discovered one of the many reasons why.

  • Tips PDF - Windows Terminal Server, Adobe Documents?

    Hello

    I'm looking for some advice.

    We provide managed servers hosted for medium-sized companies and for years using Adobe for the creation, manipulation and visualization of PDF files

    However, given that all these servers are running the Terminal Services we find that the screen and scroll speed of any document that we publish with Adobe to be very is slow.

    We can understand why this happens, due to the fact that unlike other documents the document background scrolls and moves as it would for another image, but not all PDF products suffer so badly

    I reduced the default resolution of any created pdf and it made a significant improvement, but this does not solve the problem of documents created elsewhere.

    I tried other pdf products and they do not seem to suffer as badly as Adobe in this Department. We do not want to stop using Adobe so I hope I can get some advice to improve this situation.

    Concerning

    Brad Dixon

    Area in the world

    Which version of Windows Server, OS and Acrobat version are you running? Have you tried Acrobat 9 - earlier versions rendered badly on the use of resolution 8 bits on a WTS.

    You'll want to double check the EULA but its WTS use is permitted as long as you have licenses for all your users as you mention (but not simultaneous).

  • Not printing printing PDF Windows 8.1

    I have been setting up a user with a tablet of Surface Pro 2. It uses Adobe Acrobat Standard 8. I had to install other versions of Acrobat on tablets of the other user but they all feel of the selection of the PDF printer.

    This user does not have this printer and also I don't have the right options to configure it manually.

    When I go to add a printer, then select a port there is no option as Document\ * pdf.

    I uninstalled and reinstalled Acrobat 2 hopeing it would work all of a sudden, but no luck there.

    The unique thing about tablet PC of the user is he has Symantec AntiVirus installed on it, and the other user have not. Symantec is the reason why I can't print to the PDF printer?

    Looking as deeply inside his Acrobat records I found that it doesn't have a printinf64.exe file in its record as the other user. I just add this file in the folder to make it work?

    Thank you

    Sounds like the update is confused. Maybe you need to update manually (or follow what Adobe recommends, buy Acrobat XI (11) instead).

  • Adobe PDF (Windows) printing preferences

    This question has been posted in response to the following article: http://help.Adobe.com/en_US/Acrobat/Pro/using/WS58a04a822e3e50102bd615109794195ff-7f2b.w.h tml

    You must make the changes in the printer, not in the menu print of demand. Requests back up the information about the printer whenever you select the printer, but the changes are not changes to the printer itself. Go to start > printers (or something similar) and right-click on the Adobe PDF printer to access preferences.

  • Cannot modify PDF

    Hi all

    I use Acrobat X Pro and try to add tags to a document, but can't.

    I don't know how the PDF was created, he is old enough.

    On the upper right corner, click on 'Tools'-> 'accessibility '.

    The menu entry "Add Tags to Document" is grayed / disabled.

    Go to file-> properties-> Security tab.

    "Change the Document" is set to "unauthorized".

    Security method is set to "No Security".

    By clicking on file-> save as-> Reader Extended PDF-> activate additional features

    I tried to save the document with 'Extra features', making the situation worse and that the paper had more entries that have been defined for "unauthorized."

    How can I remove safety hidden? or work around this problem?

    You cannot add tags to a Livecycle Designer form.
