  We are on essbase 11.1.1.3. I have question on essbase studio Connection Wizard, my database is sql server, and it seems that I can not connect to the database using windows user name and passowrd, simply logon sql user.
  
  Can is it true, I connect to sql server using my username acitive directory?

  As far as I know, it's only authentication SQL server native.

  It was a problem experienced in 11.1.2 all releases so will be the same for 11.1.1.3

• Delete triggers in DAC to the Oracle apps data source

  Hey guys,.
  
  We use OLIVIER 7.9.6.1 and OBIEE 10.1.3.4.0. data source is Oracle apps 11.5.9.
  
  We had a problem in the report. drillthrough report 6 records where as source has only 4 records. Looks like 2 deleted source records and we have never implemented here delete triggers. I'm new to this project and don't know how to implement for the Oracle apps data source delete triggers. because there is no concept of picture table in oracle apps.
  
  I tried a full load of the fact table, and it is fetching 4 records as expected. so please tell me how to apply delete triggers for the oracle apps data source. explain the process step by step.

  You can follow the same EP and remove the mapping process that are out of the box for your custom tables. Make sure you include a DELETE_FLG on the custom tables and follows the same logic of PE and Delete is used in vanilla maps. You must have a primary key to check the records of if.which have been removed. Once you have the full mappings, you can set the DAC to assocaiated tasks and include them with your execution plans. As Oracle has followed this process, its best to stay w the same strategy.

  It should update the data sources when you upgrade the database of EPMA, although you should be able to create a data source to match the existing one.

  Problem solved. The demo map folder was not present in the jndi tree.

  He showed some evil. I deleted and recreated again everything works fine now.

  This is my first attempt on the Essbase Studio, so I executed the following scripts as the user ESSTBC to create the TBC tables and load the data

  tbc_create_oracle. SQL

  tbc_sampledata. SQL

  I am able to connect with ESSTBC and select the tables all loaded and made sure the data is loaded correctly

  Then in the Studio of Essbase, I created a data source, which I can list all the tables in the schema ESSTBC in 'Data Source Navigator'. I also managed to create a Minischema by joining the tables SALES, SCENARIO, and MEASURES.

  However, in "Data Source Navigator" when I select "SCENARIO", right click and select "View Sample Data", I am able to pull data from the table. that is the table with all the names of columns grid but no data. No error messages were shown in "Messages to the Console.

  Back to Developer SQL and connect the same DB as ESSTBC, I have no problem do a "SELECT * SCRIPT;" and recover all the data of the table without a problem.

  I proceed creating dimensions elements then a hierarchy of "SCENARIO". But again when I try to get a glimpse of the hierarchy has got an empty tree. Apparently, there's something wrong,

  Problem solved. The cause being my stupidity ruin a access DB. I can see examples of data without changing anything in Essbase Studio after you change the DB user rights.

• OBIEE BP1 64-Bit 11.1.1.6.2 - define the MS Access Data Source

  On our 11.1.1.6.2 facility OBIEE BP1 64-bit I would like to define a ms access db as a data source. We had that in OBIEE 10 G too, but this was a 32-bit - Source ODBC.
  
  It seems that OBIEE 11 G accepts only the 64-bit ODBC sources. But for 64-ODBC aren't there existing ms access drivers.
  
  Everyone facing the same problem and found a solution for this?

  You AccessDatabaseEngine_x64.exe download and install then able to find, you can Excel data source in the 64-bit version. (we have also faced this issues a few years back and test with windows server 2008) works very well.

  Hi, im starting to get into Coldfusion and im trying to connect to a database, but when I do the data source and submit it it times out.

• Method of subscription to SubscriptionService replace the existing subscriber data

  I wrote a servlet that is customized to manage the logic of subscription request to my initiating service to push (instead of using the class SubscriptionServlet ) and inside the servlet I call the method SubscriptionService to subscribe and pass a SubscribeRequest instance with the subscription data.

  When I run my subscription logic in a Unit Test, it runs successfully and persists in the Subscriber data in the mysql database, but when I run the Unit Test with a different address and a different subscriberId kept the first Subscriber data is deleted and the new data to the Subscriber are saved.

  The code that I use for this is:

  I solved this problem. I delete my application by mistake and because of that my registered subscribers was eliminated too.

• Create a TXT file with header &amp; trailer from the existing report

  Can someone show me please how to get Application APEX to spit a .txt file which will have a header and information as well as the report. Working on a project where the information is entered on the APEX and the report is unloaded in a specific format in notebook must be downloaded into the SAP.
  
  Looking for a better automated way to do it. See the example below. the first line is at the head of the column, is then the header, then the body (report) and finally the trailer down.
  
  Note: the information header and trailer are pre-formatted text and calculations.

  It will NOT work as a report of the APEX. You are bypassing the bu report generator this. If you want to build this using Report Designer, then you will need to redefine what you're after, given that the report generator is NOT default to the creation of text files... He can build a CSV file based or PDF with the right software installed on your server...
