• Essbase Studio Console cannot connect remotely to Essbase Studio Server

  I could use some help with Essbase Studio... I installed Essbase in distributed environment (Studio, Integration Services, and Essbase Server are installed on the same machine). Now, correct me if I'm wrong, I'm starting Essbase Studio Console, when you are prompted, I should enter the server name (address) Essbase Studio Server where, as a result, the machine mentioned above. It works fine, when it's done in client tier installed on this machine, but I can't seem to log on remotely (from another place), the error is: network communication with the server failed. Check your network connection and try again.

  The studio console can be located anywhere and connect to studio server, if the server of the studio is definitely up and running, it could be a firewall issue, make sure that the ports of studio are certainly open.

  Hi, im starting to get into Coldfusion and im trying to connect to a database, but when I do the data source and submit it it times out.
  
  I tried to go to the main page of data sources and the database verifies showup but when I click on the little button it tells me there' are was a mistake. It is said:

  Solved the problem, my username for any reason any was not the owner of the db, he switched to the top and it works fine... Thanks for the help guys.

  It should update the data sources when you upgrade the database of EPMA, although you should be able to create a data source to match the existing one.

  In my pc (windows xp), I can open the Essbase Studio console, the connection to the Oracle server, get the tables and create a minischema of measures and hierarchies (I can see the preview of hierarchies). I also can create cubes with EAS and can connect with MAXSHELL to essbase.
  
  When I try to deploy the cube of Essbaes Studio there get the error ' Error (1021001): failed to establish connection to SQL Database Server.

  I connect to an Oracle DB that limits concurrent connections to 3. I have put "Maxiumum capacity" to this value, but want to be sure that I will never create more than 3 simultaneous connections to the DB of my WLS cluster.

• Stand-alone WLS, JDBC, never outputs connections data source

  My application connects to the Oracle database to do business. I also have a servlet that is called to create and view PDF reports. When the application starts, and every time the servlet is called, an "Active connection" to my JDBC data source. By default, there are 15 connectsions in the connection pool. I see thins in the stand alone WLS Admin Console: Services/DataSources / 'mydatasource' / Connection Pool. Data sources and surveillance shows the number of current connections to my data source. As I monitor the number of "Active connections" and launch myl application in WLS, run reports, etc. I see the number of connections increase. However, the number of "Active connections" never decreases. Even when I log out of the application and exit the browser the number of connections remains the same. I start my application again, and it uses more "active" connections When all connections are exhausted, I get an error.
  
  java.lang.RuntimeException: weblogic.common.resourcepool.ResourceLimitException: no currently available in the MisseeDS pool resources to allocate to applications, please don't increase the size of the pool and try again.
  
  I increase the size of the pool and I can run the application again. However, he continues to use "active connections" and never gives them. Finally a failure once again. Of course, stop and start the stand-alone WLS resets everything.

  Looks like you're using a data source connection in your servlet report but do not call Connection.Close in order to release it to the pool. Can provide you a sample code?

• Financial information - planning 11.1.2.1 Data Source

  We are trying to make rental planning, specifically new salary planning at the level of the employee. Is it possible to have a record of text data that users might enter in a form and then create reports in the Studio Financial Reporting, which will display this text?   It's exactly what I did last year. Company wanted to see the job description (they have entered on the form) of new employees within a report.

  In the workspace, create a data source planning and when you create your report, map your report to the source of data for planning.

  Simply connect to the workspace > Explore > tools > database connection manager > New > select schedule type.
