Module memory for Satellite 2520CDS

Hi all!

I want to add some memory (128 MB is max) to my old 2520CDS. Can someone please inform me of the type of memory, with that this laptop is compatible? I know it takes SODIMM, but nothing else (as the number of pins, frequency, voltage, etc.).

Thank you!

Hello

I found information that your camera has 32 MB RAM and can manage with 160 MB max. Without detailed specification I can just tell you that you can use the 128 MB module. Part number is PA2054U-MS.

Good bye

I have a Satellite A60-352, and I was wondering if I can put my module memory of my laptop on my desk. And another thing, where I find the module in my cell phone because I'm not.

    Thank you

    Hello

The fact is that the A60 was equipped with an internal memory (256 MB or 512 MB).
This memory is not removable and so you only have one memory for an upgrade slot.
Usually the A60 manages the PC2100 200 pin SODIMM (266 MHz) DDR modules.
So, you can use the modules from different manufacturers that support the above specifications.

  • Which module memory for Satellite Pro M70?

Hello! First post here, happy to join :)

    So, here is my question:
I have a laptop M70 and want to upgrade the memory from 512 MB to 1 GB. I checked Toshiba online store and found that in fact 2 memory of 512 MB with the same characteristics (512 MB PC2-4300 DDR2 533 MHz) are supposed to do the job...
The only difference is that the PA3412U - 1 M 51 is mentioned as "dual channel" and the PA3412U - 2M 51 is "RoHS compl.

So, what is the good? Another problem is that I can not really get any of these two because the first one is "sold out" and the second is 'exhausted '! Laughing out loud

But finding the correct for my system is a good first step, in my opinion. Thanks in advance! ;)

    Hello

In this unit are 2 slots available and you can upgrade the memory for max 2048 MB (2x1024Mo). You can use DDR2 memory modules.
I found information on the modules of memory support

    DDR2 400/533 256 MB (PA3389U - 1 M 25)
    512 MB DDR2-400/533 (PA3412U - 1 M 51)
    1 GB OF DDR2 400/533 (PA3411U-1M1G)

I would recommend to google for this part numbers and I m you will find an online store that offers this module.

    This module will work correctly:

    ASC 2 667 512 MB DDR SODIMM
    512 MB
    DDR2 SO-DIMM
    5300 MB/s
    667 Mhz

The laptop is able to manage 2 GB max memory (2 x 1024 MB)

As mentioned above the slit is placed at the bottom of the device and could be upgraded with modules like this memory: DDR2 400/533 1 GB (PA3411U-1M1G)

  • Extension of the memory for Satellite L500 - 1-7

    Hello!

    I'm looking for more memory for my Satellite L500 - 1 7 portable. I am looking for 2 or 4 x 4 GB
    but I can't believe that the price is about 249.00 for a 4 GB memory DDR2 PC2
(800 MHz) (in the toshiba official store).

I was looking on amazon and first ordered it (http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B0034PO3FG/ref=oh_details_o00_s00_i00)
which is certainly bad (it was for apple computers...).

Now, I'm a little confused that memory buy - what key information should I look to order good memory?
The manual says «...» Modules of memory 1 GB, 2 GB, or 4 Go PC3-8500/PC2-6400 can be installed in two memory locations... ».

    Thanks in advance,
    Fussel

    Hello

Given that the laptop supports only Intel GL40 chipset, you can expand the memory to 4 GB only.
So, you can use 2 x 2 GB RAM.

You can use DDR2 RAM 2 GB 667 MHz memory modules

  • Upgrade memory for Satellite 2800 400

I am trying to upgrade my ram to 128 on the laptop. After following the instructions for the instillation, that I turned the laptop on to find that it was slower than before and that the new ram had not registered as 128, and always thought it was 64 in someone can help me solve this ir is there anything I can do?

    Hi Ben

Maybe you used the memory modules bad.
As far as I know that you can upgrade memory for max 192 MB
The 64 MB has been installed in an internal memory and cannot be deleted.

    I found these compatible modules:
    PA3003U - 1 M 03 32 MB
    PS3004U - 1 M 06 64 MB
    PS3005U - 1 M 12 128 MB

  • Upgrade memory for Satellite Pro L20 problem

    I buy a 1 GB, 200-pin SODIMM crucial (marked on the module as 1 GB 2Rx16 PC2-4200 s-444-12-A0) and added to the existing module 256 MB (marked as 1Rx16 256 MB PC2 4200 s-444-12-C3)

I can't get the 1 GB module memory I bought the work with the existing 256 MB module. The PC will recognize the 256 MB module in each slot and it will also recognize 1 GB memory module in the other location. However, when both modules are installed the PC doesn't recognize any order they are installed in the module 1 GB. The essential tool memory online seems to think that a slot is empty when it scans the laptop, even if both slots are filled. The BIOS also reports that only 1 GB is present when both modules are mounted.

No idea how I can get the two recognized modules?

    John

    Hello John

I assume that there is a compatibility issue. If possible, try to get the 1 GB of Kingston RAM module or module recommended by Toshiba.

If you have time take a look here

By the way: 1 GB of RAM is sufficient for your laptop L20. In my opinion with 1 GB of RAM, you can work on this model of laptop.

  • Need to bars of memory for Satellite A200-1AE

I found something like this: http://www.shop-com.co.uk/Toshiba_2GB_PC2_DDR2_Memory-44398202-59442999-p! .shtml

It is memory for my laptop, but it's too expensive! Is the only way to upgrade my memory in the laptop or can I use other elements but based on 667 Mhz, can I use dual channel? How can he be?

    Hello

    I found this site:
    http://www.orcalogic.co.UK/ASP/ProdType.asp?ProdType=30725&ft=m&St=3

    2 GB DDR2 667 MHz (PC2-5300) costs about £81.
You must use the PC2-5300 but it s no matter what manufacture it is.

Some modules of names without are not so expensive, but the performance is not good.
Anyway, these modules are Kingston and as much as I know these modules are not bad.

  • Upgrade memory for Satellite U200: are supported with 667 mhz modules?

I am a new user and I'm on a Toshiba Sat U-200-115. I want to upgrade, and I intend to do an upgrade to 4 GB.

What I want to know, although it said this laptop supports the upgrade to 4 Gig, but this model use a DDR2 533 MHz memory. Considering that since the Web from Toshiba site, I see only 1 slot memory of Gig available with this clock speed and a 2 Gig DDR2 available with clock speed of 667 MHz. What I want to know, if I want to upgrade to 4 GB memory with clock speed more high clock (667 instead of, 533) would work on this machine?

    Thank you.

    Hello

It depends on the chipset of your Satellite U200-115.

If chipset supports 4 GB of memory and BIOS and Vista supports 4 GB of memory too, then you can go use the full 4 GB of RAM.
If the FSB takes care also of 667 Mhz then modules of memory would also go wit full 667 Mhz speed.
If the chipset supports only 533 Mhz then the chipset would slow the 667 Mhz module and memory would go only to 533 Mhz.

So what you have to do is check what chipset is equipped in the U200-115.
Full details and specifications of chipset you can find on the page of Intel.

But generally, there is no big difference between the modules of 533 Mhz and 667 Mhz modules 667 Mhz turns a little faster but you won't see everything boosts performance

  • Upgrades memory for Satellite 1800 412

    HI -.

I have a 1800-412 Satellite which becomes very slow so I intend to upgrade the memory. I've been hunting around a few different sites to see what I can buy, and there seem to be differing opinions whose memory actually fits my laptop:

Site Web of Kingston said that I'm going to need their KTT-SO100/256
.. .but another site suggested the KTT-S0815/256

Both websites claim that this is the chip that works.

I have also looked on the Toshiba site and found the part PA3069U - 1 M 25 number is the one I'm looking for, but the chips I found for sale online recommended for my laptop have different numbers for Toshiba...

    Help! I'm confused!
What exactly should I buy? There are actually several different chips that work or are some of these sites try to sell me a bad?

    Thanks for your help,

    Hello

I found the information that your device can handle with 1 024 MB max memory compatible Module is PC100 256 MB (PA3069U - 1 M 25). This module has been tested and it will be recognized correctly.

I recommend you to use the right and tested a title less expensive but maybe not tested one.

You can use PC2700 DIMM´s and your machine is expandable up to 1 GB of main memory (2 x 512 MB PC2100/PC2700). So feel free to upgrade.
