  «HWMonitor is a program that reads the sensors key health systems PC hardware monitoring: voltages, temperatures, fans speed.»   HWMonitor (32-bit & 64-bit versions) is free and it provides only the basics, so it is a little limited in utility.  HWM Pro incurs costs.

  For chipset temp, nVidia System Monitor, part of nVidia System Tools (no need to install the other two parts of system tools), also works well that's a bit inflated to install compared to HWMonitor.  On the positive side, it can display only what you want above the other windows in the small Panel.  "GPU" is the place for the good temp video integrated chipset or motherboard no matter what the choice is.

After migrating my old apps of my mid-2009 MBP, I noticed that iMovie and GarageBand still run older versions (version 8 iMovie and GarageBand 9). When I go to the App Store to download the new versions it is load $14,99 for iMovie and $4.99 for GarageBand. I thought that these applications are free, when I got the computer. I thought that maybe it's because I still have the old version installed, and that's why it charges me. So I deleted iMovie, but the App Store is still charging the same price. Now I can't get back my old version of iMovie because there is no option put back in the trash. How can I get the latest iMovie and GarageBand for free?

  Only the versions shipped with the computer originally are free.  You can probably re-download delivered software using the Mac App Store application on your computer. If you want more recent versions, you will have to pay for them.

  I have a Toshiba Satellite A100-999 (old lil :/) with XP

  I was wondering what are the temperature ranges at low, medium or high performance for the motherboard and CPU.

  at the present time about the temperature I have are: (Celsius)
  Motherboard: 60 + -.
  CPU: 65 years and more-

  When it has a high performance, it reached 90 - 95 +-. And if im right... the CPU with this temperature control can be activated automatically right?
  As im not an expert in the field, can someone guide me a bit?

  From now to detect temperatures im using the software: Everest AIDA64. (I guess that temperatures are not 100% Reliable, but they give me an idea).
  If there are ways to cool the laptop (I know cleaning is one of them of course) I would be grateful to receive some information.

  It is not easy to say dude. The temperature can be always different and always depends on the use of the laptop.
  On the Intel page, you will find details about your CPU and you can find the temperature for the CPU limit. It s mainly around 100 C.

  However, if the temperature is too high, then the laptop would shut down automatically to prevent the equipment from damage. If the laptop is secure with such protection.

  By the way; the temperature can occur at a higher value if cooling modules and grids are obstructed by dust. So it s advisable to clean the grilles and fans of compressed air for usinf time spraying time.

  There is no path upgrade between Final Cut Pro 7 and earlier versions and FCP - x. They are completely different applications that share only the name of Final Cut Pro.

  FCP - X is available for purchase through the Mac App store.

  I am aware that others have asked similar questions... but are - someone out there who knows if I can monitor the temperature of the CPU on my S1900-303...?

  BIOS (updated Toshiba) give no indication of power management (sensors, etc.) ... I was browsing the web and downloaded several S/W (MBMonitor, MBProbe, SpeedFan etc)... but they do not seem to detect anything!

  According to Intel (got a P4 2 GHz CPU) there is a sensor in the chip.

  Sounds strange! I searched the net and found some interesting links. These sites told me that the CPU on a 1900 Satellite temperature monitoring should be possible, so the problem is that no official statement from Toshiba!

  You wrote that the laptop had detected the probe temperature, so in my opinion, the version of the BIOS disabled this feature! Two suggestions: first of all it must wait for a new update of the BIOS of Toshiba and hoping that the feature is turned on again or secondly take old BIOS and do a downgrade from the BIOS!

  1. a Mac Pro is not a laptop. Its a big desktop computer.  You probably have a MacBook Pro, which is a laptop.

  2. No, you cannot share the memory (live RAM) or storage (disk space, which is not memory) like that between computers.

  However, it is very very bad practice to have so little storage space available for your computer.   If you have less than 3 GB, you should seriously consider an external drive. and unload some files on the outside. Its best not to leave your hard drive to go below 10 GB of free space because it can seriously affect your computer's performance.
