• Extend the 'footage' imported PSD layers

  I imported a layered Photoshop file into After Effects as a model in layers with several layers of "footage".psd:

  

  I have created and edited the comps in the 20 main comp with animations and effects. Now, I need to extend the .psd layers (all 7 s ~) to the length of the main comp(20s).

  I tried dragging to extend their regions and right click > time > enable time Remapping(this allows me to extend the region with keyframes, but the content still ends proportionally short of the containing comp duration).

  When I right click on the layer of .psd and click on 'Open Source layer', the preview displays the duration of the layer extending at once as it shows in the timeline(~7s)...

  

  but green "render bar" only goes to 5s. And no content is visible while the playhead is at 6s, below...

  

  This is also when I drag the playhead in the timeline main comp - layers with this problem disappear to 5s, even if their areas extend to 7s.

  1. I need to get these parts of layer to increase the length of my 20 years comp.

  2 it seems that the source of the layer is 5 s when I "Open Source layer", then even if the region is currently being extended to 7 s ~, 'content' only goes to 5s.

  How can I extend it to 20 seconds without doing all my images keys/animations/effects all over again?

  Or is there a way to re - import only the layers to lasting longer, but keep all my keys/animations/effects images.

• VMware workstation 11 and Windows 10 build 9926 auto resizing does not

  Host: Windows 8.1 Pro x 64

  VMware: Workstation 11

  Client: Windows 10 Build 9926

  Problem I have is in the guest operating system (win 10).  I can not auto resize the guest to fit the window (now Vmware worksation, opinion, comments made.  It flashes on the full screen, then goes back to the resolution that it is.  I'm stuck at the Windows gives me resolutions.

  I know that this version comes out today.  But I thought I'd give you guys a heads up.

  Build 10074 works!

  So, I did a clean install of the new generation (10074).  Workstation makes easy installation on it.  During the easy setup process, it didn't install VMWare tools, but I see the tools have been installed.  I tried to re-size that the screen with 3D powered acceleration; and it worked!

• How can I disable auto resizing of tabs?

  I love Firefox, but the one that drives me crazy behavior is auto resizing of tabs. I would like to choose a size for the tabs and that the browser to stick at that size for all tabs.

  Ideally I'd like to achieve this without having to install the extensions for the browser. If anyone can help?

  Nevermind, I figured it. If someone else asks:

  • In your URL bar, type "subject: config" without the quotes.
  • In the 'search' field upstairs bar, type "tabs".
  • Search for "browser.tabs.animate." By default, the value is set to 'true '. Double-click it, which must be set to "false".

  The value 'false' should fix auto (incredibly annoying) tab resizing. Now, you can continue to use Firefox and enjoy tabs without continuous frustration.

  Outside advice, comments have no effect on the runtime.

  They can have a big impact on maintenance time.

• Photoshop Mix supports more than two layers

  Often when I composite that I find myself with three or more layers, as I often separate a base background and foreground elements image and add another cut in the ground, middle between. Are there plans to Mix support more than two layers, as I am currently limited to two making it useless for anything whether it is more cutting.

  1 Mix supports up to 5 layers since version 2.0 on iOS devices.

  2 flip layer is also supported for 2.0.

  I have a second clip 24 I have stratified in Ps and when I import the psd in Pr THE SEQUENCE IS STILL ONLY 10 SECONDS!

  How can I change this?  Why does this happen?  I really need to know as soon as possible.  I have a video project due this Wednesday (certainly that's an AV class where I learn just PR.  "But I can learn VERY QUICKLY!)

  I connected to a remote server with deskop remote, and I set the resolution is: 1024 * 768.
  1. the windiws will auto move right when I maximize windows remotedesktop.
  2. the windows will resize (restore) automatc remote desktop conenciton and forward it to the right side.

  Why? is this a bug?

  After you set the resolution to 1024 * 768 for the remote system, you return to the general tab and select Save current connections to the RDP file settings?  If this is not the case, try to save the settings and see if the problem is still involved.

  Put layers in a group, and then adding some sort of adjustment layer, as curves, levels, etc., will allow you to adjust the multiple layers. If you don't want to affect the lower layers of this group, you must change the blending mode of the group other than to pass through. If you want to really use the dodge and burn tools, you could do a merge visible stamp: ctrl-alt-shift-E, that will make a copy of all visible layers. Then you can Dodge and burn that, while retaining the original layers intact.

  All layers are still visible. If I save my project in PSD, close it and then open it again.
  All my layers are reduced and I can't go back. It is a big problem and it already happened to me several times.

• Mix Photoshop - PSD layers rendering issues to edit in photoshop

  I now get a message "network error" every time I have use 'Send to Photoshop CC' or 'Save in the library of CC' orders. I had made a small number (about three) successfully files PSD from Photoshop Mix, a week or two ago, but now, each attempt to make a PSD file stops with this "network error." This seems to happen on all my devices (iPad Pro, 6 more iphone and iPad Air). Is there a way to fix this?

• PSD layers and updating links

  I love the ability to InDesign to show/hide layers PSD in InDesign and especially to see the Comps of the PSD layer files.

  But InDesign seems wrong to "remember" which layers / layers to show when the updating of links.

  An example:

  Let's say that a product is available in 3 versions: black, white, and blue.

  A DSP contains a productshot in these versions of 3 color using some common and some specific color channels. A model of layer with the color name is assigned to each set of layers that displays the version of color according to.

  Now, it's easy to place the PSD in InDesign, choose 'Object layer Options' (which can contain several other layers) and set the correct layer Comp (for example: 'blue').

  I put "when update link ' to"Keep overrides the layer visibility"to ensure that InDesign remembers the appropriate color when the DSP is changed.

  Now, you feel boredom coming... Let's say an extra red color should be added. I have the Red version (including a 'red' layer comp) adds the same PSD and save it.

  To update existing links, InDesign messes layer Options existing 'object '. The black version will now see the blue, etc...

  "Layer Comp" in "Object layer Options" shows actually 'blue' while he was 'black' before the update.

  Remove the Red layer Comp and save the PSD is yet to restore the right Comp layer in InDesign.

  I used this feature often, and update links never me caused no problems so far.

  This has always been a known limit. You will find the same

  happening with Illustrator files.

  On the top layer in the menu layers, tap the icon of three points, tap the icon of the flip (double-headed arrows with a line between them). Merge down is the third option in the menu.

  Does anyone know how to quickly add a link to all layers in a PSD file, if the name of the PSD file has been changed?  At present, it seems that I have to add a link to each individual one layer.

  For example, I have a PSD with 100 + layers imported in my project, but I would now like to rename the PSD file. Of course, when I do this, AE sees the PSD as 'missing' and there seems to be no way to add a link to all layers for new PSD file name?  I have to click on each individual layer and replace one by one.

  Nope. It's just how it works. AE has no way to know about this either on changes to your PSD files, since the structure of PSD files is not persistent - a simple reorganization of the layers can make a mess. Where EI is able to reference absolute paths with all the disadvantages.
