• Apple: Can allow you parents more control over the access of children iTunes?

  Parental restrictions on mini iPad 16 GB of my granddaughter running iOS 9.3.5 (original version) do not seem to allow parents to control properly the child access iTunes. We have music, news and Podcasts (iTunes), reserved for the 'Clean' as opposed to 'Explicit', but he is always happy that we find unacceptable.

  Apple or someone you suggest a way to further control access of the child to the iTunes app?

  If not, then... Apple - there must be a way to create a framework between Clean and Explicit. You please solve this problem?

• C7280 - cannot scan. Error message indicates another program has control over the device

  I open the HP Device Manager to do a scan. I accepted the parameters and the scanning started. But the part passing through the analysis, I stopped the scan that I realized that I wanted to change the resolution. I leave the Manager device and rebooted but when I did, I got to tell an error message:

  'Cannot perform the function you have requested because another program has control over ice dev'.

  I have nothing else open and so I can't work on what program has control over the printer.

  If you only have these options as you said, I would recommend uninstalling/reinstalling the HP software. Also, what is your operating system on your computer? Windows. Please follow these steps:

  First of all, please uninstall the software by following this document HP uninstalling the software of the printer. Then, you want to clean your Temp folder. Please follow this document here to help you.

  Now, install the full features on the site of HP software here. Choose your appropriate operating system and download the software. If you need help to install the software, I'll give you a document from HP on install the software of the printer on a wireless or wired (Ethernet) network.

• Place the Parental control over the Admin account

  I use a Macbook Pro with El Capitan 11.1 2012

  Today, I put Parental controls on my admin account, which resulted in the managed account. I can now use my normal administrator username / combo of password to remove it. I tried everything I found on the Internet, including into single user mode and create a new account to change to leave, but the code didn't work in my case.

  I was wondering if there is any easy solution or new thoughts there for this OS...

  Also why it not easier? Or at least a warning? Looks like Apple could have come up with something after that it was produced for the years.

  Please take these steps to restore the privileges on your account. This somewhat tedious procedure is only necessary if you have verified that no work administrator account exists on the system.

  If you do not already have a current backup of all your data, you must back up before taking any of the steps below. Ask if you need advice. You won't need the backup unless something goes wrong, which is always possible.

  Step 1

  Start in recovery mode. The OS X Utilities appears.

  Step 2

  This step only if you use FileVault 2. Start utility disk, then select the icon for the volume FileVault startup ("Macintosh HD", unless you have given it a different name.) It will be nested under another icon of the disc. Click the Open button in the toolbar and enter your login password when you are prompted. Then quit disk utility must be returned to the main screen.

  Step 3

  Select

  Utilities ▹ Terminal

  in the menu bar. In the window that opens, type this:

  resetp

  Press the tab key. The partial order you entered will automatically end this:

  resetpassword

  Press return. Opens a window to reset the password. Select your boot if not already done volume. Pull down the menu option

  Select the user account

  and select

  Administrator (root)

  Follow the prompts to set a password. It is safer to choose a password that includes only the characters a - z, A - Z and 0-9. I suggest that you write the password. If you don't write it down and forget about it, you will start again at step 1.

  Select

   ▹ Reboot...

  in the menu bar.

  Step 4

  This step, as step 2, applies only if you use FileVault. Sign up as usual, then select

   ▹ Disconnect...

  from the menu bar or press shift-command-Q key combination. Do not restart. You go back to the login screen.

  Step 5

  On the login screen, click on the other... Enter 'root' (without the quotes) in the name field and the password set in step 3 in the password field. You should now be logged in as root. It is a potentially dangerous situation. Do nothing by being logged in as root except as indicated below. You'll be fine as long as you don't dismiss the plan.

  Open the preferences users and groups window. Select your usual administrator account from the list of users and check the box marked

  Allow the user to administer this computer

  You will be prompted to restart. Do this and log in as yourself, not as root. Your administrator status should now be restored.

  Step 6 (optional, but recommended)

  Follow the instructions in this article to support under the title "disable the root user. You must authenticate in directory utility as a 'root' with the password set in step 3. As another administrator authentication will not work.

  My Defy screen turns off during the reception or to make a call... Impossible to control the phone... need to take out the battery to turn off the call... Help! PS this could be a software issue or user?

  Do you have a case on your phone? It seems that the proximity sensor is processing the phone as if it were close to your face. A case or a screen protector can cause problems if it includes the proximity sensor - near the earpiece.

  Can be used on a newer VCS Highway then control VCS?

  Currently we have a highway of VCS and a tester of VCS X6.1 running. I plan to upgrade to X7.2.1 and will temporarily have the South, the new version with the old version running control.

  I don't see any documentation that may not be completed. Especially since X7.2.1 had interop tests already performed with X6.x.

  Prerequisites

  Before you begin the configuration of the system, make sure that you have access to:

  -Guide the administrator of VCS and VCS Getting Started Guide (for reference purposes)

  -control of VCS running the version X 5 or later

  -a PC connected by Ethernet to a local network that allows to route HTTP (S) traffic to the VCS

  -a web browser runs on the PC

  -a serial interface on the PC and the cable (if the initial configuration must be performed on the interface series)

  Answer to your question, there is no problem if VCSE and VCSC installed on versions of different software.

• User control over the availability of Flex in the browser?

  New guy to this Flex development. The fundamental issue, I hope.

  Comparing Flex to JavaScript, can the user disable selectively Flex in the browser? It seems that a lot of headaches with JavaScript treats this configurable option (I've historically avoided client side scripting because of this concern). I guess the plugin could be removed or disabled? If so, is there an answer "agreed" under such a condition?

• Analog control over the timing of myRIO MSP?

  How do you set the rate for similar samples of the port of an MSP myRIO?

  For example, I would like an analog stream output 200ksps.

  Place the block of OUTPUT ANALOG in a timed loop and runs only gives an output of 6.3 kHz frequency. (measured at the ao1 using a scope)

  In this case the speed is limited by the software (OS, background process and especially the code LabVIEW) running on the ARM processor on the myRIO.  200 Ksps specification is for the hardware.  If you need to write this young, you can use LabVIEW FPGA to write data.

  One of the reasons why it is difficult to reach the 200 Ksps output rate of the side RT is because each iteration of the loop produces only 1 sample (the FPGA is configured for the only point of exit... a sample at a time).  The perfect way to generate samples on the side RT and to write data to 200 Ksps is to build several samples each loop and use a FPGA personality that supports analog output buffer in memory.  This allows to generate N samples each iteration of the loop and then send samples to a FPGA (FIFO) buffer that implements buffer and copy the data.  I believe that it is coming in a future update.

  For now, you can implement this architecture by creating a custom FPGA personality or you could do everything in LV FPGA.

  • Who is your manufacturer of mouse?
  • What kind of mouse you are using? It is USB, active wireless or bluetooth?
  • If it is USB, have you tried on different ports?
  • Have you tried reinstalling the drivers?

  Uninstall and reinstall the mouse and drivers of the score cards. Follow the steps mentioned below to do so.

  Click Start > right click on computer > Manage > Device Manager > expand mouse and pointing devices > right click on the below option > click on uninstall > now go to your computer manufacturer/mouse site, download the updated drivers and install them.

• No control over the amount of screenshots taken while recording

  Hello, my colleague working on Captivate 5.5 on a PC running Windows XP and when recording (in Internet Explorer), Captivate takes screen shots when he's not clicking and when the computer is thinking. When I record using Captivate, I don't have that data only question-mine mouse screenshots of queries and takes when I click or force a screenshot. The problem is that all screenshots are for MANY slides we have to go through and remove/change, does anyone have an idea of what is happening or where we might have to change a setting? Thank you!

  Im trying to create a cable or the project style magazine and ask two questions: is it possible to have more control over the pages, so they do not so much bounce near the project and wired magazine has a glance very controlled page, for now my nod to the page is very easy to navigate in the wrong way and sensative?

• Windows backup - Some Confusion over the Date of backup

  I have back up once a week on Removable Drive L:

  When we look at control panel > backup and restore, I see that my last backup was on January 3, 2011, as planned.  I also see that three files have not been saved because backup Windows could not find them.  No problem.

  When I look at the Drive: Explorer > computer > l: However, I don't see that the folder that contains the backup is dated 12/26/2010 under "update."  I remember correctly, is that it is all the time that I turned on my backup to a C: partition on my removable disk L:, probably create this folder on the first backup on removable disk L:

  As time passes, the backup on L: folder should not reflect the date of the last backup?  How can I know that the backup works (see other than the correct data in the control panel > Backup and Restore)?

  Here are the results: right click on the inf file: containing the backup (the file displays the "Save" icon), then the properties > Previous Versions shows no available versions.  Properties > general tab shows the typical parameters of a file; e.g., size of 0 bytes, date of creation, etc.

  Because it is a folder, there are no properties > Details tab.

  Dating back to the control panel > Backup and Restore > manage space, I see that two backups are stored in the inf file: Reader corresponsding for scheduled backups performed two since I have configured backup for this drive.  Everything seems normal.

  On further reflection, it seems that Windows 7 works normally, because the "Date Modified" column in Explorer mode don't not one) that reflects the changes made to existing files in a folder root or additons b) new files/folders in a folder root were made; rather the 'modified date' refers only to the changes that could be made to the properties of the folder root after its creation that is, in terms of sharing, security, etc.

  Since Windows 7, at least, you have no control over the name of the backup that is created and used for the backup folder, and there is (apparently) no exception to the general rule of Windows about how the "Date Modified" column is - at least in the case of backups - it seems that a user is more or less in "trust me". , rely solely on the information available in the control panel > restore and backup to determne if the backup does not work (other than to do a restore of your time immediately after the backup, not a good idea).

  I guess that the preschoolers old like me just feel more comfortable using the Explorer to display the properties for the actual backup file and see the date of creation.

  Maybe a suggestion that might be implemented in next SP?
