motherboard HP Pavilion a1730n atx12v1 features

OK I beliee I have a bad mother, when I turn it on the fans come on at high speed, but nothing else, I tried to get hard disk, always the same. I reinstalled memory, always the same. I then took off from the radiator and added some thermal paste (it takes a little), I looked on the motherboard for a number and I see ATX 12v1,. Is what I need to know, if I need to replace the motherboard what are the numbers or model I need to know to get another.

Hello there fer810! : it all depends on if you want be conervative & stay with a MB replacement provided with your PC or you want to make bankruptcy & really improve your computer

in the first case; Just look the motherboard manufacturer for the specifications document that tells you what you have understood everything you have to do is type in the model that you have, then look for a link that locates this document

then go to the parts section and order.

Be forewarned it's pretty expensive because of 'Tattoo' & other unique items HP at this building.

with regard to the rhe, you can go to www.newegg.com www.tigerdirect.com et.al for any kind again MB you can seriously drooling on & you have enough in your treasure to do!

more unless the new Board fits case & power offers exactly that you need to get a new case and power supply

so, be prepared to do some measuring as well

Finally, you will need to get a retail Windows 8 version and download all the drivers needed to run as well as enjoy ultimately

him as well.

Good luck

hope that clears that up, clarifies so helps you

I would try a different monitor first cable, and then another monitor. The monitors are very old technology. You have a LCD screen to test with the new configuration? If those don't work, then test the memory modules and try installing a video card, in that order.

  • Replacement motherboard for Pavilion a6110n desktop PC / BIOS version

Newbie here.  After reading on various forums and watch clips of youtube, I think I can do this.  I'm no expert, as experienced folk you will quickly realize. But I messed up with computer hardware installed in the past.

Problem: my screen froze, accompanied by groups of small lines dotted migration across the screen. Upon reboot, the screen is black and all off.  The monitor works on another computer; However, the computer monitor displays No Signal when connected to my computer.

I went through the troubleshooting guide "monitor or TV is empty after starting the computer" on this site.  Nothing has worked - at the end it says replace video cards or a Service.  I decided that my computer has no se video card.  but that the video is built into the motherboard and that is what needs to be replaced.

The Board of Directors is NARRA2-GL8E, M2N68 - LA, Ref. HP 5188-8534.  I can quite easily replace the Council itself. I want a PLUG-AND-PLAY solution.  But what I've read is that, unless the replacement AND the version of the BIOS card is exactly the same, some BIOS reconfiguring is necessary, and that's what I'm a little uncomfortable with. I found a Board to sell with the 5.10 Version (6/23/2007-Phoenix).  Problem is without a video signal, I can't tell what version I have (my original BIOS version somehow traceable by serial number? Pavilion a6110n, System #GG718AA, S/N CNH71903LB, Best Buy bought 23/11/2007).  For what it's worth, I also found (on this site) is only a BIOS update for my computer: 2007-11-09, Version: 5.13, 1.36 M

If I have no way of ensuring plug-and-play, I'll probably go ahead and fork over the dough to a professional because I'm worried about messing with the BIOS with no prior experience.

Any input is welcome and appreciated.

IF you have ordered has been authorized the Office of a HP service provider (or HP), then it should come with instructions. Should be just a swap. Good luck.

1 is - that the correct motherboard?

    2. I have problems with Vista, recognizing the new motherboard?

    3. all other components (CPU, RAM, wireless, card etc) works very well just plugged on the new motherboard?

    4. any tips or tricks for the swap I should or need to know, or that it will be simple enough?

    Thank you

Installation of a Narra3 motherboard which is not 'tattooed' with your system information will allow the factory OS to comtinue to exploit. The problem occurs when you use your HP recovery disks, the installation will fail. Yes, you can install Windows on a single disc of Windows and it works perfectly. The only problem is that you will not be able to install the HP 'value-added software' device that was originally installed on the computer.

  • Two monitors on a Pavilion a1730n?

I have an a1730n who began life running Vista. He is now running 8.1 update very happy and is used every day. He worked a HP using Nvidia monitor on board. Recently got a Dell monitor. Tried to run two monitors. Installed a Nvidia geforce in a PCI slot and plugged into the monitor. At the start, monitor and not seen a card. Main monitor restarted, changed in the PCI BIOS and the new card and monitor recognized and installed, however, old one was gone. A new bios modified for onboard as primary and old works, disappeared. Doesn't look like there are updates to the bios. Hope it works?

P.s., monitors market video outputs. The position of the monitor is not serious.

They must both be connected to the discrete video card, since you cannot use the integrated video port.  You will need to use an adapter (such as DVI/VGA) to connect the second monitor if they are all two VGA monitors.

Here's a guide that should help you connect two monitors.

Please click on the Thumbs up button '+' if I helped you and click on "Accept as Solution" If your problem is resolved.

With respect to the motherboard, the number of equivalent HP article would help more than the model number. In general, it is better obtained from the seller of the motherboard, but not all do.

  • HP Pavilion a1730n starting problems

I have Vista, I bought my computer two years ago (February 2007).  My computer does not start successfully upward.  My son bought an external hard drive, and apparently he was asked, "do you want to overwrite the boot sector?" he said yes.  It has also installed Linux on his external hard drive, because he wanted to use Linux everywhere where it can take his hard drive.  After the transfer of the data, he pulled his drive and turn off the computer.  When we tried to turn on the computer (without its hard drive is plugged in), what the computer could do on its own give us a text message BACK saying:

Windows did not start because of a configuration of the disk of the computer problem.
Could not read from the selected boot disk. Check the hardware path and startup disk.
Please check the Windows documentation about the configuration of disk material and your reference manuals of the equipment for more information.

I tried to plug his drive external back in and restart.  The mistake of text BACK we got was:

Windows could not start because the following file is missing or damaged.
    Windows root\system32\hal.dll.

I rebooted, you press ESC to get to the boot menu and tried to boot directly from the external hard drive.  It did not work.  I used a Linux disk, my son had and was able to start with it and see my files.  We have registered important files on the external hard drive to my son.  I put in my recovery disc and tried (to disk and then from the hard drive) repair the hard drive.  He told me that he could not fix it (twice).  I tried to use the restore disc to go back to a restore point.  He told me that there is no restore point.  I also tried selecting "last good Configuration known (your most recent settings that work)" in the Options Menu advanced (repeatedly pressing F8 at startup to get this menu).  It also did not work.  When I ran my program of recovery from my hard drive, I could choose HP Recovery or Vista Home Premium (recovered).  I chose HP Recovery to repair and restore attempts.  After these failures, I chose Vista Home Premium (recovered) and my computer was able to load my desktop, settings, and files successfully.  To start and use my computer as I always have, I have to use my recovery disc and go to the back door (so to speak).  I think I need to restore the master boot record, but nothing seems to be me getting there.  I may have to use BCDEdit, but I do not know what commands to enter at the DOS command prompt.  Suggestions?

    Try this .

Be aware that if your son likes to play with dual-booting, you should probably buy him a pc to play with or you will find yourself in the same situation again.

  • Pavilion a1730n, vista

    What are the installation steps?

    Thank you.

    Hello

I always love it when HP is not after replacing power supply guide for some model PCs.

Back up your data before doing anything and make sure that you have a set of HP recovery disks.

' HP ' how-to ' articles should be useful. How to replace a power supply.

Mark each wire that remove you with Ribbon and a certain number, so that you know where to connect the cables coming from the new power supply.

  • card mother dv6095

I need to replace the motherboard on my dv6095 and it takes a 443774-001 - can someone tell me if there is difference between this card provided for the American market compared to one for the United Kingdom?    I can get one of the United States, which is an updated version and prefer to do because it could solve the problems of starting wireless with this model.

    According to the specifications and other documents, this model may contain one of the following systemboards;

431363-001 motherboard (motherboard) for Pavilion dv6000 series - featured version

433280-001 motherboard (motherboard) for Pavilion dv6000 series - complete with web camera support

443774-001 motherboard (motherboard) for Pavilion dv6000 series - complete with web camera support (is MORE PROVIDED)

443776-001 motherboard (motherboard) - Supports AMD Turion 64 - bit mobile processor dual-core, off function (No. LONGER PROVIDED)

If you can source HP p/n 443774-001, in the USA, it will be the same component exactly like what would be in the UK or EU.
