  • DVD player not working not not with win 8.1

Hello. I have the HP pavilion 15-e020TU laptop. My DVD player has worked with windows 7 and windows 8. After the upgrade to windows 8.1, the DVD player does not work. The Windows Device Manager find the DVD player, but represents a brand yellow error. I chose "update driver software" and then "automatically search for updates of driver software". Then the name changed from 'Mitsumi CD drive' to 'hp DVD A DU8A5SH'. And still does not. I installed the update of the firmware from http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=pv481en&cc=us&dlc=en&lc=en&jum... But a command prompt displays "error: no readers mitsumi found.» What can I do now?

If the Microsoft Fixit does not correct the problem by removing the upper and lower filter drivers, then the device is not so fully operational...

It's aid. Now, you know that it must be repaired or replaced.

To fix your DVD player, there is no silver bullet through the ethernet. Of course, if you want to be Mr. Fixit, just find out what laser is bad and replace it.

Hello, I was cheking your laptop (Hp pavilion entertainment pc dv2000) I had long turned off... The thing is that I don't remember the original password... It's like a background dark and in the center of the screen, it appears blue advertising, asking me 'Enter password'...

    Hi, Juanca:

Enter a password for BIOS 3 times, and the PC should generate a code system off (stop).

Then read the first post on the link below for what to do with the stop code that you received from the PC.

  • DVD-Audio sound rattling instead of audio - HP Pavilion dv8305us - Windows 7

    HP Pavilion dv8305us

512 MB of memory (will get upgraded if we can solve the audio problem)

Windows 7 Home Premium 32-bit (original installation was Windows XP Media Center)

The laptop had some problems with viruses, corrupt files of previous attempts at cleaning. Since nothing of value has been installed or on the hard drive I just reinstalled a complete Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit. It was not an upgrade, and it's a clean copy of Windows 7.

Everything works, except for two features. When I play a DVD the sound he does is more like a rattle hard then anything else. I know it's the audio because I can cut the noise. We tried several different DVD, and they all have the same problem. The second feature that does not work is the 'Quick launch' button, because they both work on the DVD I don't know if they're related. Probably not, since the 'quick launch' seems to be just a fantasy with some instructions .bat file.

When I play the sample audio files on the computer, they play correctly. They are in Windows Media Audio format.

I tried several different version of the driver Conexant AC-Link Audio. I tried the drivers from HP.com and tried the drivers from other pilot sites. Whenever I tried a different driver, I uninstalled the old driver. No change in the results.

I am currently using Conexant AC-Link Audio Driver 6.14.10.297 A, I got on the site hp.com under Windows Vista downloads.

    Thank you

    Hello again.

Now that the computer has enough RAM to support Windows 7 correctly, you can try some related software solutions.

What program do you play DVDs? I guess that's probably Windows Media Player. Have you tried to use a different application to see if the problem exists in both? I suggest to see if the problem exists also in VLC Media Player.

    Also, try the following.

    1. Go to control panel, and then select "sound".
    2. Select your playback device, then select "Properties".
    3. Go to the "Advanced" tab
    4. Uncheck the box "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device."
    5. Save these changes, restart and after the result.

Let me know the result; I'll keep an eye for more answers.

  • DVD player stopped working after the installation of 12 items

First, I loaded the disc DVD in the drive and tried several times to install 12 elements.  Whenever the program has been installed the computer would start flashing and the dvd drive may stop working. Every time I had to use a PIN to eject the DVD because it would not eject.  It worked well before its installation to 12 items. After that the program was finally installed dvd player worked.  But the program would be closed when you use it too often.  I finally just deleted the program of 12 items on my computer and install it on another system.  It's been a while since the abolition of the program from my computer. Tonight, I reinstalled the program Adobe 12 elements with the dvd drive works fine.  Trying to install the program, all loaded fine.  Then once more, the dvd drive eject nor does any work.  What happened several times with 12 elements of loading on my computer.  It is a real pain.  Now the DVD drive doesn't work, or eject.  Can someone help me out here?  It sucks. The other computer works fine.  It is a HP Pavilion, Windows 7 Home Premium system.

Computer was off all night. Turned on this morning and the system works now.  I rebooted the system, at least six times last night with no result. I don't know what was different this morning, but everything seems to work.  So if it's not broken I will not try to fix it.  Thanks for posting. Dan

  • What can I do this message-"Toshiba DVD Player has stopped working"

    Hello

My DVD drive used for good work... and then I installed iTunes.
He then worked for a while, but only by using "Run as Administrator".

After a few weeks I started getting the message "Toshiba DVD Player has stopped working".

I uninstalled iTunes - and uninstalled and then re-installed DVD player - but it still doesn't work!
    Any solution please?

Thanks in advance for your help.

    Ms. Q_reeus

My solution is to remove a Toshiba DVD drive and install VLC player. You can get it for free.
It can play all video formats, and you don't need additional codecs.

  • HP Pavilion dv7 - 3188cl: looking for a DVD burner for my laptop

    Hello

I'm looking for a DVD player, cheap but good that could fit into the computer laptop HP Pavilion DV7 - 3188 cl. Can someone please give me some advice?... Any help is greatly appreciated... Thanks for the help in advance...

Use your P/N on hp pilot site and find the service manual and see what the cottage to OD it uses and you can then use to refer to what DVD player burner you can get. And if it's a Sata Drive more recent OD are sata you just have to make sure that it is a DVD burner and then swap the front to match the original.

  • My Satellite C660 has stopped playing DVDs

My satellite c 660 suddenly stopped reading DVDs and CDs of pc games. Audio CD are no problem.
But when I try if the driver is ok it says that everything is working propperly.

On this virtual path, it is not easy to say what the problem is here, but theoretically it may be hardware issue. Position of the goal for playback of DVD is different regarding the CD so maybe that may not be properly calibrated.

Test it with original DVDs or DVDs of data to see if the problem persists. If so, I'm afraid, you must exchange the m's optical disc drive.

  • DVD player has stopped writing DVD on my Satellite 5200 801

Quick question that I hope someone knows the answer to. My DVD player stopped earlier for DVD writing (several relocations of system have proved that it is the reader and not a pilot/conflict error) so I put the hand on another drive. Fitting was easy, however, it seems that there is something funny with the ide channel configuration in this laptop. The old drive was put on CSEL, however, the new drive is set as slave. because of this the HD or the DVD player are available.

Does anyone know how to pass to CSEL dvd players to make them work (I tried to put the jumpers on the hard drive to change between a master and a slave, but with no joy.)

    Thanks in advance

    Hi John,.

Normally, the readers of CD/DVD design slim are preset by the manufacturer, but it is apparently possible to change the setting, if you really want to. Please check the following post: -.
