  Hello... I'm trying to configure the WVC54GCA so that motion detection sends an email to my gmail account. I have configured the smtp and port, but I get a failure when I send a test email.

  If someone managed to get this working?

  My gmail is configured for the transfer of pop.

  It is my understanding that Gmail requires a secure and encrypted (SSL) connection.  However, since the current WVC54GCA doesn't support SSL, you won't be able to connect to your Gmail account.

  I got a WVC 210 this weekend and after some learning, I am happy with the results,

  I use the built in Web server, is a firmware update, everything is going well so far.

  My primary use is the detection of movement. Works very well. But:

  -How can I enable / disable motion detection? Y at - there no flag that indicates the status of the detector? Once I turn it on with the push button, I can't stop it more.

• My camera WVC210 lost its sensitivity of motion detection

  Detection of movement with email alert worked for several months, but after that I installed a second camera that it stops working.

  I can trigger an alarm that moving the cameras, but the activity in front of the camera at a certain distance, will not be triggered movement alert.

  A camera factory reset solved the problem, something is wrong with the ActiveX control sensitivity setting.

  The switch for the sensitivity setting can be moved, but it doesn't look like the sensitivity has been locked to the lowest setting.

  My second attempt to factory reset solved the problem.

  Im trying to install unsuccessful motion detection.

  I activated motion detection on the camera itself, typed in the ftp and e-mail 192.168.1.1 server settings and some dummy use/pwd.

  Thanks for the comments.  I am running VISTA.  I think I solved in a different way.  I went to: tools-internet options-security-and moved the security level slider all down in "security for this area.  He then installed the software unknown Publisher and I now work sensitivity sliders.  I moved the security level slider to where it was after installing the software and things seem fine.  Everything seems to work, and I'm getting the movement detection alerts by e-mail.  I get them when there is no apparent movement.  I also get email alerts when there is movement.  I get 3 or 4 no alert of movement every few hours.  I'll play with the sliders of sensitivity to see if that helps.

• I want to just record motion detect video with WVC80N

  All I want to do is video recording of movement detected so I'm at work and see when I get home.  I don't want remote access and I don't care about e-mail notifications.  Does anyone has some SIMPLE instructions for how to get this working?  I have read a lot of posts on this forum and found all kinds of complex configurations involving multiple Web pages and port forwarding, etc, etc.  I can't believe it's complicated just to implement something simple.  BTW - I have no problem watching a video online or via the utility of the camera via a web browser.  I can do instant records, but no motion not detected video.  IMHO the camera itself is great, but the support is pathetic.  Utility program camera is terrible.

  If you are unable to save any movement using Linksys utility, maybe you should try some different utilities that will work for you.

  I'm shopping for a wireless webcam to provide periodic fixed images that are accessible via any web browser. I'm not interested in live streaming video, or what I must have remote users to directly access the camera.

  I currently own a Panasonic BL-C131A that performs the necessary function well. I set it up to send a simple jpeg image to a remote server every 60 seconds (assigning the same file name each time). My web site (http://www.creston-community.com/Public/Webcam.html) has a page that displays the uploaded image, i.e. the .jpg file, in the same interval. Of course, whenever the web page pulls the top of the file, it contains a more recent image this file contained on the previous cycle.

  I need a second camera, but Panasonic is expensive. I seems that maybe the WVC80N could be an alternative to a price much lower. However, I have reviewed the user for the WVC80N guide and the only mention of ftp of it lies in the section dealing with motion detection. Can someone tell me if the camera can do what I ask, independent of any movement detection settings? If Yes, can I specify jpeg as the file type, set a preferred file name that will be assigned to each image and set the frequency (interval) between ftp downloads?

  The WVC80n doesn't have the specific feature you are looking for, not exactly.

  However, it can achieve the desired result in a different way.

  The willing WVC80n of a CGI interface that your web server could pull left to draw the image, instead of the camera by pressing the image.

  In other words, you can set a timer for one minute on the web server to retrieve a single image of the WVC80n jpeg and save it like that.

  The slow movement seems to be only available in recording mode video and if this mode video resolution is set to 320 x 240.
  It is a QVGA resolution.

  I just got my M200 return of warranty repair, where it had its motherboard replaced.   Also, I just checked the power settings, and nothing happens when the lid is closed, regardless of the setting here. The machine continues to operate, and I see that the backlight is always on, shining out of the closed case.

  It seems to me as they neglected to connect the lid close button, which I guess would be she realizes how it went in tablet mode, as well as when to turn off the backlight etc. for a lid close. I tried pressing the cover independently close button and nothing happens. I suspect it's going to be an another money-back guarantee, but nobody knows what I might be missing?

  On your device, there are too many different problems, and it must be checked properly. I know that you may want to solve the easier way, but I believe that without service partner there is no much to do. Please contact them and ask for complete verification.

  They should use the factory settings and test everything, especially compressed usage mode.

• Detection of movement on a LNR0208C NVR recording

  Hi, I've successfully connected a Y - cam Bullet HD 1080 (2nd generation) on the NVR. I can set it to "Always feature" or schedule record time. What I can't make it work, it is how I could put the NVR to record and send me an email when there is movement detected.

  I participated in recording & event > event & Action management > Cam (No. 1) > [v] camera movement > Action: event trigger recording. Parameters: camera selected, the installation program mailing list, checked my email address, email test (works), but NVR does not record anything. Not even when I'm jumping up and down right in front of the camera.

  So motion detection works at all on non-Linksys camera?

  Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

  The NVR works with third party cameras until they take over the ONVIF profile S standards.
