I am unable to get the video to work on my laptop when I connect my BD-300 motion Detection camera plug.

You may experience this problem if the Webcam drivers are not installed or has been corrupted. Follow these steps and check if that helps:

My camera WVC210 lost its sensitivity of motion detection

A camera factory reset solved the problem, something is wrong with the ActiveX control sensitivity setting.
The switch for the sensitivity setting can be moved, but it doesn't look like the sensitivity has been locked to the lowest setting.
My second attempt to factory reset solved the problem.

WVC80N. I set the delay from the time between motion detection interval to 0. Tests, it took usually more than
5 or 6 minutes before the camera detects again. I put it to 1 minute and it would detect after 1 minute
interval. How can I do this '0' time work? I was a 'silent' suspended with Cisco now for about 20 minutes.
Have you tried to configure different sets of interval? controls whether that works or not. If his work and only the time interval '0' does not work, then I think you can try to upgrade the firmware of your camera. Download the firmware on the linksys site and update on your camera.

Im trying to install unsuccessful motion detection.
I activated motion detection on the camera itself, typed in the ftp and e-mail 192.168.1.1 server settings and some dummy use/pwd.

No help from this Forum, but I got the Motion Eye Cam working again. He would sometimes work for a minute or two and then quit. I thought it would be connected USB so I downloaded the registry USB patch (and a whole bunch of other updates and more) and installed it. After the patch USB Webcam has started working again. I don't know if it was the fix, but its working now. The Vaio "Updater" program did not work (it should be updated as well) so I had no idea there were so much software upgrades available for this laptop. I highly suggest that you check the Sony Web site for downloads (if you did not) available for your computer. Good luck. -

My primary use is the detection of movement. Works very well. But:

I use IE 8 to implement on my WVC54GCA motion detection. Everything seems to work including the email test. However, I get mail with no apparent movement. I tried to set the sensitivity of motion. I get a screen with a small icon in the upper left corner and an Active X asks for a download. When I chose to allow it, I get a
"windows has blocked this software because it cannot verify the Publisher".

Thanks for the comments. I am running VISTA. I think I solved in a different way. I went to: tools-internet options-security-and moved the security level slider all down in "security for this area. He then installed the software unknown Publisher and I now work sensitivity sliders. I moved the security level slider to where it was after installing the software and things seem fine. Everything seems to work, and I'm getting the movement detection alerts by e-mail. I get them when there is no apparent movement. I also get email alerts when there is movement. I get 3 or 4 no alert of movement every few hours. I'll play with the sliders of sensitivity to see if that helps.

Please could someone help me to set up the Board Sony motion eye cam and FN keys that don't work after upgrading from Vista to Win7, Sony are no help at all.
Device Manager can't even see the cam. I tried to install it manually and the nearest me am added the cam, I was able to start.
Maybe you are missing the drivers. Are there drivers available for this W7?
You should check with Sony for your specific model and area/region Web site to see if they provide any W7 drivers at all. If Yes, have you installed them for the web cam?
