Motion tracking out precarious

Hello, I use after effects CC and the built in features of motion tracking.

I am looking to key out the greenscreen I on a computer screen in the room while the camera is moving. I tried to add points to follow up on the screen and using the corners as well.

When I finished tracking and its application to sequence of replacement for the green screen, I find that she shakes around a lot. It seems not smooth or to convince even when it is the actual screen due to the small amount of jitter in it.

If anyone has any advice to get a smooth track it would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Hi Mike,.

Mocha AE is included for free in all versions of After Effects since CS4.

Here is a tutorial where I show you how to make an advanced screen insert with mocha AE and Adobe After Effects:

These tutorials use my MochaImport script +. But all the Mocha tracking, keying and compositing works the same also for Mocha without MochaImport workflows. If you're still learning, please note that we offer education discountfor all products of mamoworld.

And if your path is always fragile when it tracking with mocha, here is one tutorial showing how to repair tracks fragile Mocha

  • Dance of the Rotoscoping in After Effects with motion tracking?

    Hello!

How can I copy the movements of real popular dance to a video into a cartoon character using rotoscoping/masking/motion tracking in AE?

    Example:

Neytiri dance rotoscoping/animation at the beginning still very rough - YouTube

Tracking and Rotoscoping in After Effects: dance-2014 Jayant Sharma - YouTube

    Thanks in advance!

in the Express.ypH you have provided there is 2 things and none of them is the cartoon character who is drawn on a video:

    • * the first is a 3D CGI that mimics the movements of dances from the dancing and I think that this has been done from observation. certainly NOT the Rotoscoping.
    • * the second example is a dancing man - a video cutting cutting - perhaps he was dancing in front of a greenscreen, we do not know but is not a caricature but a cutting of a video which has been applied some effects to make it more graphic but still, it's a video and I think that one who was cut by using matte procedure (picture effect) after the dancer was shot in front of a green screen. the face attached to the dancer is a follow-up on the face and securing its position and rotation of the information from tracking data so it will match. This is called the track or the movement of the game and it is a skill that requires time and patience to learn. but it is sometimes easier than rotoscoping. the two can be combined together to make life easier for the ROTO. but it's advanced things.

On rotoscoping as an Art to cut out an Image of a video (not picture on it):

There are several ways to make rotoscoping (cutting of the motion picture), and they all need a lot of practice and patience. There is no way to do it easily and it is a skill that takes time to penetrate. different types of techniques are described here: https://www.fxguide.com/featured/the-art-of-roto-2011/

draw on top of a video (without cutting) is animated rotoscoping and can be done in Photoshop. some do it with "Chronology of Animation Frame" and others with "timeline of the video.

The main workflow is the following:

    1. you import your video in photoshop

    2. create a timeline of this video

    3. do frame-by-frame on top of the video

    4. export the sequence as a new video

more on the process of these Roto technical animation can be found in this post.

Re: rotoscoping techniques: Animation video vs Timeline -there are links and information in the post of different examples. the post is a work in the making. I tried to treat it as an article, but new to the Forum (in terms of contributing content) carried out, once a user posts a comment on my comment - I can't access (which makes sense)

  • Motion tracking: corresponding to the two elements of caterpillars

    Hi all

In a little over my head... searched high and low... but I'm stuck.

I have two video elements in a composition, both VERY similar, but they do not follow the perfectly.

What I tried to do was taking an item tracking data and subtracting the follow-up since the second element in the expressions (for a delta), then apply the difference with the anchor point of the element.  It did not work... as I expected.

I have two good tracks, but I can't figure out how to get these titles to work together (they are tracking the same exact point) to match.  Is this a problem of displacement of the match?

    Help, please.  Thank you.

No, made no sense. I'm not taking about stabilization far from the shakes or jitter in the shot. I mean to get rid of all the movements of dolly temporarily. Review the tutorial. I first ask (1) stabilize what makes the scene completely static (most don't move no dolly) such as the image progressively moving out of the frame. Then I apply 'move' (2), such that the initial movement is reintroduced, and you are basically in the original shot. (Which I can stabilize (3) in a third stage). You just have to jump (3) and use the path of the layer itself to (1) and the track of the other layer for (2).

I hope this makes it more clear. Just think of stabilization is not as "do the smoother camera movement" but as "applying to the reverse of a movement of caterpillars.  You can use it to smooth out a camera movement, but sometimes it is also logical in other scenarios.

With your expression, you do exactly the same thing, by the way. It says something like

    "Movement Tracker A - Motion tracker B + Position.

It's like to stabilize the position in regard to section B (subtract his movement) and move according to A (adding his movement).

  • Motion tracking in After Effects PNG sequence?

    Hello.

I am trying to take an animated character animator png sequence and do follow up on two specific points about this in After Effects of movement.

I make a request the characteristic movement of follow-up on the png sequence, but it does not do anything at all.

Points on the characters that should be followed are two rectangles GREENS.

Is it possible to fix this? Any help would be appreciated.

    Thank you.

It seems that you're setting up your track properly. Here's a tutorial I did week last to another user of the forum on the motion tracking. He addressed the specific problems of users, but this should be wide enough for your application, as well: Motion tracking Knoll Light Factory EZ in Adobe After Effects - YouTube

  • Is it possible to use the motion tracking to add nice looking titles or titles of movement (not only the ridiculous info bubbles)? Or better yet, is it possible to integrate tracking movement with your own bunk graphics? (using first 14 elements)

    Issue of title

Yes of course. (I even show you how to do in my book 'Cool Tricks & hot tips for first Elements 14'.)

Just make sure that whatever graphic you want to use is already in your project assets before you begin your Motion Tracking.

Once you are in the Motion Tracking Workspace, the active panel of the project appears at the top right of the interface, and you can drag any graphic, video or title pre-created on your path of Motion.

  • Motion tracking and export

For work I was in charge of some intuitive ways to effect counter.  Things I would normally do in After Effects, but they would have done as in first CC 2015.  Most of them come down to it, they gave me a first CC 2015 file with videos that have a need for the cover of the inverter or additions to them.  They then gave me still images or videos that contain what is necessary to cover/replace objects in the scene.

For example, there is a license plate in a shot that must be replaced with a different license plate that they recorded on videotape.  I have hidden opacity the additional cost of the new plate of video and resized so that it matches the plate of cars.  The images of the car has been done with a steady cam so there are several tiny motions.  I went by adjusting the position of the new plate image by image, but still does not seem smooth.  In older versions of first I would have corrected it with the CAP mocha, mask of garbage or exported to AE.  I have not been able to find similar tools for this first CC 2015 and tutorials all seem to point towards AE (as I said, their desired method is not intuitive).

My other question is much simpler.  What would be recommended for video uncompressed export type?  They asked he be sent as prores 422 or equivalent, and since I was on a PC I can't export it.

In all that I feel that I'm starting to see more limitations with CC 2015 on my cs6.

After effects 3D Motion Tracking is certainly the simplest method and the best on this one.  I'm curious as to why someone might stop you from doing the job properly?

The PC equivalent (actually higher) to ProRes is DNxHD.

Thanks to Steve and Romano for your help.
    I finally found the solution:
It is necessary, check the box: 'Force the setting selected on the draft of the c' listed at the beginning of a new project. (It is not possible to likely choice after having introduced the first video of the project).

If not checkd, and if some features of the video don't match not to those of the project, monitoring of movement does not work correctly.
    Thanks again for your help.
    Best regards...

  • Motion Tracker

I have an element with Metropolitan urbanity 3D layer. I added a Mini Cooper model. I hosted his car in one of the streets. I hosted a camera suite arial and booming down into the car. I then the scene with the camera watching a wind shield front of backseat. I have two things I want to keep up with the back of the front seat of the car. What workflow might suggest you?  I made the backseat camera view and tried to use the motion tracking, but I don't get the results I want.  I tried to get help from Videocopilot technical support, but they don't answer my emails.

Why would you use the motion tracker? You have created the query, simply use this movement to drive your animation. Why not put these items in element? Or parent of these objects to the object null you used to excite your Mini Cooper.

How can I only text is displayed during the motion tracking? -I don't want animation that's included!

    Best regards...

There are two workaround solutions to do this. The simplest is to use one of thought or speech bubbles in graphics and, when you open it in title adjustments, remove the background graphics, and customize the text.

The other option is to create the title before make you your game to the top of your Motion Tracking and then just do drag from the components Panel project on your track object.

  • Losing track of the motion Tracker

    Hello

I am new to AE and just running a few simple tests with the motion tracker.  I use in all sorts of trouble on something, I think should not be that big of a deal.

Here's an example - I tried the simple black dots or multiple on a well-lit hand.  Regarless of tracker settings, the number of track points, or the size of the tracker it ALWAYS loses quite significant track (see image below).

    tracker test.jpg

    What I am doing wrong?

    Much appreciated!

I don't know what your action items. I followed the hands before and it takes about a quarter of an inch in a point or a triangle for a track. There are simply not enough of contrast on the stroke of the AE to find something to follow. Here's what I did with the position, rotation, scale. It should work as long as the fingers remain open. Note the size of the area of caterpillars and the details involved.

These little black dots are all just too small. You need about 200 to 400 pixels of detail to get a good lead. Your points are only about 12 pixels. It's too small of a sample in order to get an average. Here's the view at the pixel level.

Imagine how this single dark pixel in the middle of the shooting will dance when the needle moves. Here's the same shot moved pixel of only 1/2.

You can see how the data is different. There is no way that a tracker, a tracker, could hold a specific sample on such a lens changing.

  • Motion Tracking A tilt camera

I am inexperienced with Motion Tracking and have only used single Point followed by shots where the camera is supposed to be locked off the coast, or even.  However I have a tilt 'motion control' which has a slight hitch in it towards the end of the move.  Single Point followed is not the solution because he is trying to correct the inclination desired and steady the camera.  Multipoint did not work, but maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Should I use parallel PIN or Perspective tracking pine?  How I would maintain the desired motion of the camera image and correct the slight nope within this movement?

    Thank you very much!

I think also that the time jumped 2 or 3 images. Can divide the layer just before he jumps and then slide copy in there a couple of pixels until the tilt movement with. You could do with hold keyframes, but sharing the layer would allow you to cover them, change the blending mode to something as difference to help you align the two sections of video and get this photo set with a minimum of fuss.

  • Motion tracking... is the road ahead Mocha?

    Hi guys,.

I video watcheda year last around mocha and looks like a very nice addition to the CS4.  CS5 now has a new version of mocha.

(Video I looked at is this: http://library.creativecow.net/articles/rabinowitz_aharon/Mocha_Tut_1/video-tutorial )

My question is, does the better motion tracking done in After Effects? or you can make simple plans in first?

I made a simple motion tracking, and even of simple stuff seems to take forever (manual creation of keyframes for each image)

Thanks for any info, ideas, tips.

    Dave.

    > My question is, does the better motion tracking done in After Effects?

    Yes.

Here is a link to some information about motion tracking in After Effects.

  • Is there a way to motion track a point in a shape layer?

    Hi all

Is there a way to motion track a point in a shape layer?

    Thank you

I didn't see any difference when I use a precomp or a null value. There is still no information on a specific point.

Of course, there are: using expressions, you can switch to different properties of transformation of the null value.  Very convenient.

  • motion tracking?

    Beginners question pls.

    New edition...

I'm eager to put a type POINTER or ARROW symbol in a video next to the head of the specific football player while at other players to bring attention to this player in particular, he is a candidate.     Not sure if the motion tracking is the right term for this.

    How to do that pls?

Yes, tracking movement is the correct term. This page should help you find a way to do it. It also includes links to tutorials and other useful things.

As someone new to After Effects, I actually suggest you , start here. If you have a solid base of your AE world will be one filled with frustration.
