mouse hardware device

My computer does not recognize my mouse that I connected or wireless.  How can I solve?

A test to see if the mouse works when plug you it into another computer. If this does not work, make sure that the battery in the mouse is charged.  If this DOES not work on the other computer, then:

Try leaving the mouse plugged into your computer during a restart.
Disconnect other USB devices that may be attracting a lot of power (such as a hub or peripheral novelty USB), so that only the mouse is connected.
Try plugging the mouse into USB ports.

Are you trying this on a laptop or a desktop computer?  There are two mice involved, a wireless and a wired or just one?

Problem: Keyboard Logitech wireless & mouse (S520) does not work.

1 week ago that I tried my HARD drive on different USB ports on my PC. I disconnected the keyboard and mouse wireless receiver and reconnected. Since then he has stopped working.

I uninstalled USB Root Hub that is not made any change in the problem.

Have restarted severl times and power disconnected from the PC and thus reloaded.

    Hi donf,.

This can occur when more than one service is defined for a device, if there is a failure opening the service subkey, or if the driver name cannot be obtained from the service subkey.

The UpperFilter and UpperFilter keys are invalid registry entries and delete them should not affect the functionality of other devices. Please do not delete the .bak and we recommend that you back up the registry before taking any action on them.
See Back up the registry: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-US/windows-vista/Back-up-the-registry

Step 1: Run the hardware diagnostic tool and try to install the mouse
    a. visit http://support.microsoft.com/gp/hardware_device_problems
    b. click 'Run now' and run the tool successfully.
    c. restart the computer.

  • Re: Card C-media - Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. (Code 39)

Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)

Reference Dell 3000 win xp family, sp 2 card its replacement will not install right.

I just reinstalled windows on my Dell computer and have struggled to reinstall the different divers, applications and programs that I used to have.  The long, everything went well, except for the audio part.

Windows Device Manager shows the icon replacement C-media with a yellow top warning label. Under "Properties", it shows this message: Windows cannot load the driver for this hardware device. The driver may be corrupted or missing. (Code 39)  Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device.

I uninstalled and completely removed all traces of the drivers C-media, etc. of my computer, rebooted, reinstalled the driver C-media since the original CD (several times!), but the yellow warning label is always there!   When I ask to reinstall drivers C-media a notice tells me I have the best drivers now.

BTW, the audio worked perfectly in this machine until the windows reinstall so I am sure that the problem is not with the sound card, drivers or the installation CD.  Thanks for any help on this, jim

    Hi BarbaraWolfe,

There are many causes of Code 39 errors:

    • A required device driver is missing.
    • A required binary file is corrupted.
    • There is a problem with the file I/O process.
    • A driver that refers to an entry point in another binary file cannot load.
Re-install the driver by downloading it from the link given:
