Hello

What is the Logitech mouse model you have?

Using a laptop or desktop computer?

Are you sure it is a reset button and not a connect button trying to reconnect the mouse USB receiver (assuming that its wireless)?

Try to use all the USB ports on the computer to see if it makes a difference.

If sa is a mouse without a wire and you have a USB hub, try using that and move the hub with the USB receiver in addition close where the mouse. Also, if possible, try to set it up so that there is a clear line of site between the mouse and the receiver (for example computer not in the way) to minimize interference.

Try to unplug all other USB devices except the mouse & keyboard as a troubleshooting step.

Please make sure you use the latest drivers/software from the Web from Logitech website.

  • Wired Optical mouse keeps freezing & has no lights

My wired microsoft optical mouse keeps freezing & the red light turns off. At present, it will work only after first off the entire computer & its reboot. However it only works for a few minutes.  This may be due to my 3 year old grandson disabled showing a lot of interest with small fingers in the below & red lights this afternoon. Bless!  Suggestions please?

If it flashes on and outside and dies at random... you probably need a new mouse.

Don't know what has been rough on me pointing out what is obvious.  Direct - Yes.  Probably what you end up doing - Yes.  Rude - I can't.

So, if I remember, the most expensive computer mouse was about $ 25,000 - yours is * definitely * an inexpensive mouse.  ;-)

If you want to try something before replace you... Try the mouse on another computer for a few days - it has the same difficulty?  If the answer is Yes - replace it.  If not - you probably been--but try a Different mouse on the computer in question.  Does show the same symptoms?  If so, chances are two things (the latter is more likely): 1) issue software - install the latest motherboard chipset drivers.  (2) USB port bad equipment - try a different USB port and/or get your motherboard extracted for hardware failure.

  • Why my (wired) laser mouse keeps freezing every 2-5 seconds and then turns off?

I use Windows XP Professional SP3, and my (Genius NetScroll G500, USB) mouse keeps freezing every 2-5 seconds, until he "dies" (I can't move or something, it's like off). Sometimes, it works normally, sometimes doesn't. I don't really know what causes to keep freezing. This problem does not occur on Linux for now. I download the new updates, but I do not expect any kind of positive results, so please do not respond with driver update. Could you please tell me what to do to fix it properly? Note that the mouse is brand new, bought today.

EDIT: It seems that Safe Mode fails.

    Hello

I suggest you to connect the mouse to another computer if possible, and check if the same problem occurs, this is just to check if it is the problem with the mouse.

Just bought a mouse Logitech bluetooth mouse (M557) a few days ago. It was easy to have detected it, however, I realize it loses connection every time that the macbook is left idle for a period of time (a few minutes)... Very annoying, because it seems impossible to reactivate the connection other than logging on my session (or computer reboot) and only then it will reconnect by itself.

I am also newly on OSX 10.11.3 (I read a few concerns about the Bluetooth under El Capitan...) so I was wondering if the mouse is the problem, or if it is related to OSX.

Since the price tag on the Logitech is not much lower than the Apple mouse, also I was wondering if I would be more successful with the Apple mouse, I still can return the Logitech at this point...

    Hello

This problem may be caused by a touchpad setting which is intended to avoid any accidental activation - for example if your Palm brush the touchpad when typing.

You can change this as follows.

Open windows control panel and on the top right, next to the display by: select "large icons".  In the new page layout, select the entry of Synaptics.

The hardware/software version will depend on real option that you're looking for (see the example below), but it is usually called 'check' Palm or Smart Sense'-disable this function and apply the changes.

My macbook pro (early 2015) has been working great until about a week ago. It started freezing and now it done very often. IM do not receive a beachball, the mouse pointer remains the same. This problem began only after I have updated to the version OS X EL capitan 10.11.4. 80 GB of free space so I don't think it's a problem.

I had this problem too, like many other people (there is several messages and discussions already). Seems to happen more often with Mac in 2015.

There is nothing to do. I tried a clean install of El Capitan with full SSD erased and 10.11.4 combo update, it did not help; my macbook pro 13 2015 keeps freezing with Safari.

This cannot be good for a new laptop. I have not upgraded to Windows 10 and we do not anticipate doing soon.
