MOV in AE import with no audio

At work, we seem to have a problem with certain mov files imported into AE without the audio track (that is to say, wav is empty). These are files we receive from studios and it does not reach everyone, but we met some. The mov can be read with audio in VLC, quicktime, etc.-, but when you import into AE, there is no audio data.

Currently, to get around it we have been imported mov hearing and recording in format MP3, then put that in AE. Seems to work fine, but I was wondering what would cause the original question. Is it the way the mov has been made by the studio? In addition, it would be important if the studio used a mac and we're on PC?

Just try to find answers. Thanks to anyone who can help!

Erin

These problem files have the audio embedded in the video - audio multiplex.  There is no separate audio track, and AE needs a separate audio track.  You can transcode the video files and include audio tracks or export a separate audio file you do... but I would not export an mp3 player.  AE has been known to have problems with mp3 files.  I would export wavs or erroneous.

  • Why import AVCHD properly storing sequences map (SD card) while the same images completely transferred to an external hard drive imports only the video with no audio?

I shoot on a Sony Alpha a65 and it uses AVCHD when recording. I have not met this problem before.

I transferred the entire contents of a memory card on my external hard drive.

I tried to import the images from the hard drive, both using the import media browser-only video clips are imported with NO AUDIO.

I thought that I had corrupted images as my memory card was images of two different rods. I turned one on 2 October and the other on 15 Oct (approx.).

HOWEVER: I then tried to import directly from the SD card - and it worked! Audio, video and all.

I can change this being, of course, but it's a concern I have obviously can't keep the SD card only for this sequence forever - and backup to external hard drive will not audio. That might mean that I won't be able to pick up on it in the future, if necessary.

Can you help solve this problem – that is, with the film which is not imported correctly from the external hard drive or why something is lost in the transfer - and explain why this happens?

Please note: I tried marqueeing everything and do drag and drop, as well as select and drag / move, when you transfer the images from the SD card to the external hard drive. I'm using a Lacie Rugged 1 TB (firewire option).

  • In Apple Mail, I managed to import a box mailbox, but I can't move the mailbox imported to be with the rest of my mail

I accidentally deleted one of my 4 Apple Mail accounts.  Using my backup, I followed the procedures of Apple and successfully imported this box to my backup hard drive letters.

Using Apple Mail, I managed to import the box mailboxes in Apple Mail from my backup, (the mails I wanted are) but I can't MOVE the mailbox imported to be with my other 3 mail accounts.  This folder contains 2 files, incoming messages and sent messages.

I wanted to move the 'Import' folder to the "Mailboxes" section in the sidebar (just below ' boxes ' are my 3 "Inbox". Below are my 3 sent icons. (it looks like a paper airplane).

I even tried to create a new Inbox mailbox, but this new mailbox does not have anything new under the "Inbox" and "Sent" icons.

Try to add the account back and then copy import emails to the mailbox to the appropriate account.

    Hi Michael,

Thanks for posting your query on the Microsoft Community.

Because the problem is specific to a particular video file or all the files?

Follow the methods and check them off below if it helps:

Method 1: Reset the Windows movie maker for default settings and check.
    To restore the default settings

    1. click on Toolsand then click Options.
    2. click on the tab that you want to reset the settings and then click on the default settings.

Method 2: I suggest you run the audio Troubleshooter and check if it helps:

  • Importing video with 2 audio tracks

    Hello

I've saved my computer with Action Mirillis screen! that allows me to record several audio tracks (in my case: the sound of the computer in 1 audio track + my voice through an external microphone in a second audio track)

When I open the MP4 file in VLC, I can manually switch between 2 tracks, it's great workign.

But when I want to import the video file in first pro, it only shows me that the 1st song (the sound of the computer) and it is impossible to get the 2nd audio track

Yes I can demux with avidemux or virtualdub (even if I have some problems to import .wav in first) but I would have preferred a "cleander" option to get my track

(I said it's 2 separate audio tracks, is not 1 stereo track with L = his computer and R = my voice)

    Windows 7 64 bit + Adobe Premiere Pro CS6

Thanks for your help guys, I hope I will get some

lol bad advice for CC being able, sorry. I tried both, but found my sample not as I thought. What I saw in a CC project was a sequence with an audio multi-channel which must have been in a preset, and I thought it was a new automatic sequence. I won't go in depth about my mistake, but please, do not assume that CC will solve unless someone can fix.

When it comes to the audio of your Sony Vegas. If it's anything like the first, I disable the video track, mute the audio track top and export only the background audio track that you don't see at first. After that only import the audio into first and place it under what you already have.

Regarding the future, the next time - would be a voice on track help, after your first record?

  • Why the mov file I imported don't have audio data when you drag on the timeline?

I received a logo animation of my chart type MOV file, it imported in my project where he played very well in the preview window.

When I drag him in the timeline, he appears as a video track only. What I am doing wrong?

You forgot to patch the audio track?

  • Export .mov with specific audio channel configuration

    Hello

I have several audio tracks in a sequence of first (CS6) - production of sound clips are on n ° 1 to 6 titles and temporary fx are on no. 7 to 9 titles. I was invited to export file .mov (H.264 codec, with stereo sound in preview video to change its process in Pro Tools) with all the sounds of production in all temporary sound effects for the right channel and the left channel. How can I make it the fastest way? Is there a simple way to tell the first titles will go in which channels? Or maybe I should reproduce the sequence and the pan a few tracks to the left and some on the right manually?

    Looking for some advice, please.

  • Movement is useless if you need Audio

I really don't understand how this app has been broken regarding audio for so long.

I have a few questions that appeared with Motion 3, if I remember correctly these two questions are always in movement 5 and these issues were transferred in any other Mac too.

Question 1: Motion 1 and 2 have been able to play my animated graphic and audio at the same time without any problems. I use audio in my motion graphics, of course. You have your sound FX, transition sounds, foley sounds and music. You have audio in video clips that you use, such as talking heads, etc. I did a project where I had a comics guy talk and I used an audio behavior to animate his mouth with the audio waveform. Good things.

Movement 5 cannot play audio without clipping sounds. I have a Mac Pro 8 Core with bi 2013 - GPU 700, 32 GB of RAM and a TB Thunderbolt 2 RAID 10 disk that reads 930 Mbps. It modifies the RED images in real time so I think that it can read from small sounds.

I have a simple project in this moment I have a few transition like whoosh and swish sounds, using sounds own Apple CAF on my system came with Final Cut Pro X. When I press the play button, the sounds are clipping or don't play at all. He cuts the first second or two before starting playback of the sound. If the sound is only in a second time, you don't even hear it.

What boggles my mind is that Motion 5 same audio clips so I did a RAM Preview. He will play the audio.

Question 2: after making a film ProRes of my Motion project, certain sounds are distorted. I've seen this issue with the movement for years. The audio sounds very good movement. I put the volume of it-4 db. I have not put on Jack up to + 6. Render out, looks like it's all deformed as it passes through a rock guitar amp.

I have attached a sample of film QuickTime of this distortion sound (the sound of discharge is distorted).

    https://Vimeo.com/148625570

I really like Motion 5 but I'll have to go to After Effects, if I can't fix this audio problem. For this project, I work now, which must today, I'll have to keep this Final Cut Pro X and do the audio he. It's crazy, and it denies also all behaviors audio wonderful I could use.

Number 3: When I use the behavior Audio Fade In / Fade Out, he Faints, but in the end, volume breaks out back for a fraction of a second before he became silent. So it's a bland, bland, quiet, split second volume full, silent. I'll have to manually key frame it to fade.

Anyone else having these issues, or is it just me? Someone at - he found a solution for this?

    Thank you!

    Hi Scott,.

I had problems with M5 until recently. Audio would stutter and delay making any sort of audio animation an impossibility. But now, which has stopped, and I don't know why. I've not being updated at El Cap again. I think he played with 5.2.1 and continued with 5.2.2 but as I said now has resolved itself.

What about other audio issues, audio and deformation fades. I dropped many years ago doing any kind of audio work in motion. I don't think it is built for this kind of thing. Usually I create a rough bed, use it as a guide, and then import the exported file the motion in fcpx or logic and finish than the audio.

    Thank you

    Adam

What is the format of the music files? Could be interesting
trying to convert them to WMA format before

  • Convert MOV files to import into Premiere Pro 1.5 264

    Hey everybody,

It is in fact generated out of my previous post on the Kodak zi8 files.

    http://forums.Adobe.com/thread/700268?TSTART=0

We have established that PrPro 1.5 will not import the MOV files native to a Kodak zi8, which are of the 264 encoded MOV files.

What I need is some advice on an inexpensive way to convert MOV something 264 which PrPro 1.5 will recognize, I hope to a pretty decent quality.

I have QuickTime Pro.  But it has so many options and codecs and filters, I get lost.

Any help on this or any other way to convert them, would be much appreciated.

    Thank you!

If it works out for you try mpeg streamclip (free program) 4

    I just tested an export by a 1920x1080p 29.97 FPS avc h264 (same codec as your 1280 x 720)

Ann Bens that suggested earlier for you in the other thread, so if it works please give him the Star 'responded'... like the points going for a dinner of lobster from adobe.

Here images... Anyway my export file ends up being type avi 2 720 x 480 24 fps progressive to 16:9 and he plays well in the traditional media...

You can export first when you are finished with the 'other' audio parameters what do you give... or experiment with the audio settings in streamclip... I just chose mp3 as it is not an issue with me... ... .the audio sounds fine.  See images for all the info...

MP4 file was 28meg, export avi is 94 meg... because mp4 is highly compressed...

  • ATV4 - music at low volume of movies than the rest of the audio

I saw something strange. When I look at a movie that has music/songs performed by the cast (I.e. A musical, no incidental music or background), the volume of the song down. As soon as the song ends, the volume level returns to normal. Everyone knows this?

You have enabled to reduce Loud sounds? Are ATV audio settings compatible with your audio system, for example in stereo, 5.1, etc.. ?

  • Problems with the audio using Hulu on Apple TV

We meet a few important issues in streaming Hulu through Apple TV. The problem is with the audio. When we start a new episode of a television show, frequently, there is no audio data. The audio plays fine during the advertising leading up to the episode, but then he went to the start of the episode itself. Last night, for example, we tried to watch an episode of Casual. No sound. I restarted the same episode 3 times (which meant, annoyingly, I had to attend the same ad 3 times), and each time it was audio at the announcement, but then no sound during the episode. I unplugged Apple TV, wait a minute and plugged in. Choose the same episode and had the same problem.

Before last night, we were sometimes able to get audio on Hulu content, but it is seldom worked without similar problems - there is no audio data, or sometimes there will be audio briefly but then it disappears. We will not experience this problem streaming other services by the Apple TV, such as Netflix, HBO or with iTunes media. Any advice?

It is a second generation Apple TV, purchased in September 2010.

Exactly the same problem with Hulu here on ATV2. Its been like that for months and only getting worse. Also, randomly that it recharges during playback. If you can spend the first few minutes of couple of a show (by the start/stop several times) it will play the rest of the show OK.
