Move an image with motion tracking

Right, so here's the deal:

(Note: Spoilers for the ending of the guardians of the Galaxy.) If you did not, fix that)

So, I'm doing a brief clip where I put a friend of the Chief of the mine on the groot dance little guardians of the Galaxy (he is a big fan of this movie, so I do as a kind of anniversary, eCard).

I am trying to use the movement followed to make the photo stay on top of the head of groot, but I don't know how to do this. I got to follow effects, but I can't figure out how to get the image to do. I am currently using first CC 2015, and it is the only software I have.

Any advice out there? Sorry, but I only got the software a few days ago and only knowledge I have are a couple tutorials basic and just pressing buttons to see what would happen. So, in terms of intelligence, keep your explanation somewhere in the area of Cro-Magnon.

You need AE to do this for you

First, you can only track movement masks not images.

  • Dance of the Rotoscoping in After Effects with motion tracking?

    Hello!

How can I copy the movements of real popular dance to a video into a cartoon character using rotoscoping/masking/motion tracking in AE?

    Example:

Neytiri dance rotoscoping/animation at the beginning still very rough - YouTube

Tracking and Rotoscoping in After Effects: dance-2014 Jayant Sharma - YouTube

    Thanks in advance!

in the Express.ypH you have provided there is 2 things and none of them is the cartoon character who is drawn on a video:

    • * the first is a 3D CGI that mimics the movements of dances from the dancing and I think that this has been done from observation. certainly NOT the Rotoscoping.
    • * the second example is a dancing man - a video cutting cutting - perhaps he was dancing in front of a greenscreen, we do not know but is not a caricature but a cutting of a video which has been applied some effects to make it more graphic but still, it's a video and I think that one who was cut by using matte procedure (picture effect) after the dancer was shot in front of a green screen. the face attached to the dancer is a follow-up on the face and securing its position and rotation of the information from tracking data so it will match. This is called the track or the movement of the game and it is a skill that requires time and patience to learn. but it is sometimes easier than rotoscoping. the two can be combined together to make life easier for the ROTO. but it's advanced things.

On rotoscoping as an Art to cut out an Image of a video (not picture on it):

There are several ways to make rotoscoping (cutting of the motion picture), and they all need a lot of practice and patience. There is no way to do it easily and it is a skill that takes time to penetrate. different types of techniques are described here: https://www.fxguide.com/featured/the-art-of-roto-2011/

draw on top of a video (without cutting) is animated rotoscoping and can be done in Photoshop. some do it with "Chronology of Animation Frame" and others with "timeline of the video.

The main workflow is the following:

    1. you import your video in photoshop

    2. create a timeline of this video

    3. do frame-by-frame on top of the video

    4. export the sequence as a new video

    Hello

I'm trying to move an image that has been saved as .png with info vision. This image I would change in x / y pixels. If I do, I get a

If I use any other image without info vision that it works without problems so far. Anyone know how I can fix this problem?

The Shift IMAQ function does not read the header information and don't know your reticle.  You can add header information to the image by using the merge feature overlay IMAQ as shown in my picture as an attachment and function Shift IMAQ will actually see these data.

  • Synchronization of images with the track number of music in first Pro CC

My experience with Premiere Pro is still limited to the basic edition. I was recently asked to help a friend to edit a music video. I have done it before in Final Cot X Pro but decided to move because of the integration of Adobe CC.

The issue I'm facing is that all the footage that was shot are delivered for me to 23.976 fps, but with audio that plays faster. The audio after importing is during playback to 29.97 FPS and play it at normal speed.

The solution I found so far is to slow down every clip to 80% so that it matches the original audio track. It's not ideal, I discovered while editing, and it would be better to have each clip rendered in its original state of 29.97 FPS.

After some research more, I discovered that it is possible to perform a new made each clip speed original in After Effects and even apply the interpolation. Then import all back into Premiere Pro.

My question is if the road that I'm following here is correct.

    Thank you!

by reducing speed in the timeline, I think he's doing the same thing by forcing the film. the difference is by changing it in the tray before you start, you can change all clips at once. Make sure you just set the fps of the fps final output sequence, does not not in the FPS has changed clips.  You can also click with the right button on the images in the timeline and choose the frame mix, but I think it ends up doing the same thing you use the export option. the difference on the timeline is that you see the frame blend when editing. AE is extremely slow and may not look any better, so when you're on deadline, forget about it.  so first I think that the framework blend on vs off is your only real option to change the behavior of the slow-mo.

slow mo thing is nice for music videos, but yes, for best results the camera must be accelerated with the song on the set. While post both are slowed down back, replacing the song / audio with the original song at a normal speed. 23.976 or 29.97 are both acceptable in NTSC land usa.  23.976 has received much attention as the 'film look' because it has more motion blur, while a 29.97, a video filter. Here are some numbers that I found somewhere and kept. so if the final rendering of fps is known, can choose the correct shooting for on fps set with matching sped up or slowed down the music.  values in italics would end up with time-lapse images, while the values in bold would be used for the slo-motion effect. I haven't used these, but the numbers look right. He could have shot during 29.97 (30) fps and it slowed to 23.976 in post to get the 80% slow-mo.

For a NTSC / US, using a base of following times of 24 p, for frame rates, adjust the speed of the song at:

12 fps: make the song last x 1,956 more stretching to 51.1% speed

18 fps: make the last song 1.333 x more stretching 75.0% speed

20 fps: make the last song 1,226 x more stretching to 81.6% speed

22 fps: make the last song 1.067 x more stretching to 93.7% of the speed

26 fps: do the last song 0,907 x as long as normal; play 110.25% speed

30 frames per second: make the last song 0.800 x as long as normal; play 125% speed

32 fps: do the last song 0.747 x as long as normal; play 133.87% speed

36 fps: do the last song 0.672 x as long as normal; play 148.81% speed

48 fps: do the last song 0.498 x as long as normal; play 200,80% speed

60 frames per second: make the last song x 0.400 as long as normal; play at 250.00% speed

For a NTSC / US, using a base of following times of 30 p for frame rates, adjust the speed of the song at:

12 fps: make song longer than 2.445 x stretching 40,91% speed

18 fps: make the last x 1.667 song more stretching to 60,00% speed

20 fps: make the last song 1,533 x more stretching 65,23% speed

22 fps: make the last song 1.333 x more stretching 75,01% speed

24 frames per second: make the last song 1,250 x as long as normal; play at 80.00% speed

26 fps: do the last song 1.134 x as long as normal; play at 88.22% speed

32 fps: do the last song 0,933 x as long as normal; play 107.14% speed

36 fps: do the last song 0.840 x as long as normal; play 119,05% speed

48 fps: do the last song 0.622 x as long as normal; play at 160.73% speed

60 frames per second: make the last x 0.500 song as long as normal; play 200.00% speed

  • Motion Tracking A tilt camera

I am inexperienced with Motion Tracking and have only used single Point followed by shots where the camera is supposed to be locked off the coast, or even.  However I have a tilt 'motion control' which has a slight hitch in it towards the end of the move.  Single Point followed is not the solution because he is trying to correct the inclination desired and steady the camera.  Multipoint did not work, but maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Should I use parallel PIN or Perspective tracking pine?  How I would maintain the desired motion of the camera image and correct the slight nope within this movement?

    Thank you very much!

I think also that the time jumped 2 or 3 images. Can divide the layer just before he jumps and then slide copy in there a couple of pixels until the tilt movement with. You could do with hold keyframes, but sharing the layer would allow you to cover them, change the blending mode to something as difference to help you align the two sections of video and get this photo set with a minimum of fuss.

  • Move the tool and the hand tool works not so I can't move my images.

I have the latest version of photoshop, and I can't move my images with the tool move or the hand tool. Make sure the level that I want to spend the move tool does nothing and it rises, as if I'm trying to select part of the image that is similar to the use of the Selection tool (as shown in the picture attatched) but then nothing happens. The only way I'm able to move my image now is if I use the transform tool and it's really frustrating and time consuming way to do. I restarted photoshop, my computer laptop, insured without other applications/software are running and still nothing works. I have also tried resetting tools built-in, but to no avail. Any suggestions on how I could fix that would be great!

Hi Serenah: This isn't the tool move, this is the path Selection tool. 2015 CC took a major interface update! The move tool is now arrow 4 sides and just to keep things interesting, tool display changes with the workspace. To reset the tools, choose window > Workspace > Essentials reset. This blog will help you understand what is happening: https://www.rockymountaintraining.com/adobe-photoshop-cant-find-tool/ .

  • Is it possible to use the motion tracking to add nice looking titles or titles of movement (not only the ridiculous info bubbles)? Or better yet, is it possible to integrate tracking movement with your own bunk graphics? (using first 14 elements)

    Issue of title

Yes of course. (I even show you how to do in my book 'Cool Tricks & hot tips for first Elements 14'.)

Just make sure that whatever graphic you want to use is already in your project assets before you begin your Motion Tracking.

Once you are in the Motion Tracking Workspace, the active panel of the project appears at the top right of the interface, and you can drag any graphic, video or title pre-created on your path of Motion.

  • NULL does not move with the tracking data

I created a track in Mocha AE and copied to the Clipboard.
Then, I created a Null value in AE and pasted the follow-up data on it.

However, Null value does not move.
    Any ideas?

PS I have watch it during the follow-up process, and grooving of X, I created did move/track.

you have a composition of 54 Minutes here. you are going to restore all 54 minutes with the 54 minutes of elements trained using data from mocha in sequels? I guess that the answer is no. first thing you have to do is on the duration of the shot you want to make your composition. so only you take to mocha and follow your footage.

so in your example, I guess you should take about 30 seconds, or maybe more? Set the workspace accordingly:

then cut the timespan to duration:

    then you should have this:

Ahhh MUCH better. only the length you need. now use the rail in Mocha Ae option. in case of mocha, you will again see the duration of your huge video file:

to keep things organized you can zoom timeline in the / points so that you can see just the graven images and will not get confused by 53.5 minutes of video you don't need. Press here:

now, you will see this - just your images carved

track data, export and when you paste data - make sure that you are on the first image.

    Good luck!

  • I want to fill track of Image with white people, but not the bounding box

I want to fill track of Image with white people, but not the bounding box.

I have several black and white pen and ink sketches that I want to scan to JPEG, make a record of the image in the drawing line and have "encompassing" transparent but keep the white background in the image.

Is there a way to do this?

You would need to expand the trace, and then remove the 'bounding box white' after tracing.

  • Losing track of the motion Tracker

    Hello

I am new to AE and just running a few simple tests with the motion tracker.  I use in all sorts of trouble on something, I think should not be that big of a deal.

Here's an example - I tried the simple black dots or multiple on a well-lit hand.  Regarless of tracker settings, the number of track points, or the size of the tracker it ALWAYS loses quite significant track (see image below).

    tracker test.jpg

    What I am doing wrong?

    Much appreciated!

I don't know what your action items. I followed the hands before and it takes about a quarter of an inch in a point or a triangle for a track. There are simply not enough of contrast on the stroke of the AE to find something to follow. Here's what I did with the position, rotation, scale. It should work as long as the fingers remain open. Note the size of the area of caterpillars and the details involved.

These little black dots are all just too small. You need about 200 to 400 pixels of detail to get a good lead. Your points are only about 12 pixels. It's too small of a sample in order to get an average. Here's the view at the pixel level.

Imagine how this single dark pixel in the middle of the shooting will dance when the needle moves. Here's the same shot moved pixel of only 1/2.

You can see how the data is different. There is no way that a tracker, a tracker, could hold a specific sample on such a lens changing.

  • Motion tracking: corresponding to the two elements of caterpillars

    Hi all

In a little over my head... searched high and low... but I'm stuck.

I have two video elements in a composition, both VERY similar, but they do not follow the perfectly.

What I tried to do was taking an item tracking data and subtracting the follow-up since the second element in the expressions (for a delta), then apply the difference with the anchor point of the element.  It did not work... as I expected.

I have two good tracks, but I can't figure out how to get these titles to work together (they are tracking the same exact point) to match.  Is this a problem of displacement of the match?

    Help, please.  Thank you.

No, made no sense. I'm not taking about stabilization far from the shakes or jitter in the shot. I mean to get rid of all the movements of dolly temporarily. Review the tutorial. I first ask (1) stabilize what makes the scene completely static (most don't move no dolly) such as the image progressively moving out of the frame. Then I apply 'move' (2), such that the initial movement is reintroduced, and you are basically in the original shot. (Which I can stabilize (3) in a third stage). You just have to jump (3) and use the path of the layer itself to (1) and the track of the other layer for (2).

I hope this makes it more clear. Just think of stabilization is not as "do the smoother camera movement" but as "applying to the reverse of a movement of caterpillars.  You can use it to smooth out a camera movement, but sometimes it is also logical in other scenarios.

With your expression, you do exactly the same thing, by the way. It says something like

    "Movement Tracker A - Motion tracker B + Position.

It's like to stabilize the position in regard to section B (subtract his movement) and move according to A (adding his movement).
