  I'm having a problem with the Explorer of Windows 7.
  In Windows XP when in Windows Explorer, I am able to select pictures and miniatures, tiles or the icons and then re - position file icons in the pane of files by left clicking and then dragging the icon to the position I want. I can't find how to do this in Windows 7. I am very visual and I need to be able to move the file icons that I work with them. Alphabetical sorts do not work for me. I think that this feature exists since at least Windows 95, 98, 2000 and XP. I am able to move icons on the desktop to any position, I want to use the drag and drop method, and that's what I want to do in Windows Explorer.
  Any help is welcome. Thank you.
  I tried going through the help of Explorer in Windows 7 and can't find anything to help me. I also researched on the web a vast nothing helps.
  The computer is a brand new Thinkpad SL510 Windows 7 Professional 32 bit.

  Just as you describe, pulsing touch and move an icon ON the right or to the left of the Panel you are currently in UNTIL you see that you are this new Panel, and release.

  If you are on the page of files where all your files and folders are listed, then there are two ways to move:

  The thumbnail (can only move a file or folder at a time):

  • Click the triangle to display under the thumbnail.
  • In the options that appear, select the Move button.

  

  The list view (can move several files and folders):

  • The check boxes for the files and folders that you want to move.
  • The menu bar at the top left changes has a Move button.

  I see that you are unable to move the icons on your iPhone 6 s after the upgrade to iOS 10. I'm pretty particular about my location apps on my phone too so I'll be happy to help you!

  1. How to backup your iPhone, iPad and iPod touch - every time that I start troubleshooting, I always recommend a backup to ensure that your personal information is safe.

  2. restart your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch - never underestimate the power of a good restart.

  3. reset the iPhone settings - on your phone tapping settings > general > reset > reset all settings. This will restore your iPhone to factory default settings.

  If you have not saved your phone yet, I strongly advise to do so now as the next process will erase completely it.

  4. use iTunes on your Mac or PC to restore the iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings - you will need to use iTunes on Mac or PC to completely erase your iPhone. Using the settings only removes your personal information.

  First, select "Set up as new iPhone" and connect to iTunes and App Store and iCloud. Once you are on your home screen, download some apps to iTunes and see if you can reinstall them once they are finished. If you are able to do so, go to the next step.

  5. restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch from a backup - follow the steps described in this article to replace your personal information on your phone.

  Try a forced reboot: hold down the House and on the buttons until the unit turns off. Ignore the cursor off if it appears. Once completed, if it does not start on it own, turn off power with the key On. In some cases, it also contributes to double click the Home button and close all applications before restarting.

  I don't know if it's relevant, but I use two laptops computers Toshiba running Windows 7 and the other is Windows 10. Both are 64-bit. And it is Firefox 42.0.

  If you already have Firefox installed, you no longer need the installer, so you can just right click and select Delete.

  2. you have made no changes to the computer before the broadcast took place?

  Uncheck "Auto Arrange icons", then check if that helps.

  a. right click on the space empty on the desktop.
  b. click view.
  c. uncheck the box Auto Arrange icons.

  Always include the version of Windows in your messages.

  Right-click on an empty area of the desktop, and select view. Deselect the option align icons on the gridand see if you can do what you want.
