MovieClip name variable

I have only one scene with MovieClips using secondary scenes. Inside the image, I have a MovieClip that contains the Menu "buttons"(MovieClips agissant comme deles de boutons). "»

Since the Menu buttons, I'm trying to access frame labels inside of the "slips" who live at the same level as the MovieClip Menu. Menu and Slide 1,2,3 are all brothers and sisters.

I'll put 'Slovak' in the Menu when the user clicks on a button I would like to pass the path of the slide label.

I can get things hardcoded a name of coding, but I can't understand how to move the stored variable.

For more convenience, the value of the Slovak var is a string containing the exact name of the slide.

Here's the code to work:

MovieClip (this.parent.getChildByName ("Slide3")) .gotoAndPlay ("slide_out");

I need:

MovieClip (this.parent.getChildByName (VARIABLE VALUE)) .gotoAndPlay ("slide_out");

How can I pass the variable here?

Thanks in advance.

I don't understand what the problem is. To use a variable instead of a string, you just put the name of the variable in place of the string.

MovieClip (this.parent.getChildByName (Slovak)) .gotoAndPlay ("slide_out");

    rawfilepath = "./shared/documents/";
    RawFileName = rawfilepath + 'rawlog -' + 0 + '-.txt ';

    Thank you for your attention,

    Thank tzander reminding me the idea. Method of cascades is not good for me because all of the kernel code is written by Native. If I change the channel to QString, I need to change a lot of codes.

    Solution is below.

    While (access (rawfilename, F_OK)! = - 1) {}
    rawfilenamecount ++;
    sprintf (format, RawFileName, rawfilenamecount);
    fprintf (stderr, "file exists");
    }

    Rawlog = fopen (rawfilename, "w"); Save the file in a specific path.
    fprintf (rawlog, "System Time (ms)" "");

  • Dynamically create a movieclip name

    I have a series of small clips (about 100 of them, cannot be created when running) already exists in my main movie.
    These were name of A1 A100. I have to refer to one of these clips according to a calculated value to run from 1 to 100. I don't want to use a switch & case statement, because there would be too many of them.
    How do I create a movieclip variable in AS and assign one of the existing movieclips as the real object?
    For example, I tried:

    But this does not create a valid reference to the existing MC. Any ideas?

  • DAQmx tasks name variable

    Can someone explain why use a variable LabVIEWIOControl to keep the name of the task of DAQmx, Labview causes the sequence editor to become extremely slow. The vi attached does nothing more to open a chan (output on a pxi-6723) and its closure via the parameter of OPERATION enum (see teststand sequence).

    To simulate the problem, right click on the Action step and select "define the module." Once the tab "module" is open, click back and forth between Action 1 and 2 of the Action (1,2,1,2, 1.etc). You should see some delay, pulling up info from module of step up 2-1.

    My 'real' application works well, but a step of editing may take 10 seconds to get the info from the module. Note: This is the type of variable only what causes this problem that I have used cluster, string, enums, tables ect in the past without problems.

    I have attached a seq teststand advocating the vi.

    There is a slowdown in TestStand, known while choosing a 8.6 VI, which has control of e/s on the side of the connector.

  • The title of chapter in FM10 name variable

    I'm tweaking a model I created, which was based on the standard book provided with FM10 models. For some reason when I insert the variable name of the chapter title, the title of the current chapter does not appear. Instead, the name of the file is. I read in the help PDF you can use the variable to spread the name of the folder, but I need to do. I want to just the title of the chapter to appear in each file in the book.

    Is anyway to fix this? I have change almost all paragraph tags, so maybe I have the variable to point to my new tag of paragraph titrechapitre? This problem occurs in all files in the book.

    I'm under FM 10.0.2.419 on Win 7 32 bit. I also installed CS5 (not sure if that makes a difference or not).

    Thanks for the help,

    Smitty

    You must configure a hierarchical book by using folders in order to properly the collection variable $chaptertitlename as you wish.

    See this blog and content demo that shows roughly how it is used: http://blogs.adobe.com/techcomm/2009/09/fm9_hierarchical_books_new_variable.html

    Note: even if the blog never mentions the name of the variable, one speaks of the $chaptertitlename. It comes to early examples of new approach to stealth documentation from Adobe via the blogs using the methodology of catch-22.

    If you want to insert the title of the chapter (content picked up by a paratag) in the header or the footer of your master pages, then use one of the variables M/F running, specify the name of paratag, for example <$paratext[ChapterTitle]>, and don't forget to try to decipher the meaning in the help file. • How to place a string in a movieclip timeline variable to a url within a class request?

    Hello

    I coded a class of audio player, I want to be able to reuse throughout my project to a different sound to each movieclip. The audio player works great and loads of sounds when I request the url from the class, but I can't ask the url encoded on the chronology of the parent movieclip.

    I have an instance of movieclip named musicPlayer in 4 different parent movieclips that is bound to a named MusicPlayer class that contains the code of my audio player.

    To test, in one of the parent movieclips, I placed the following code to set the path of the url to a string variable:

    var mp3url = "tuba.mp3";

    Then, in my class, I said the same variable as a string:

    public var mp3url:String;

    and I tried passing to my application url:

    mp3File.load (new URLRequest (mp3url));

    Then I get an error: "1151: there is a conflict with the mp3url definition in the internal namespace."

    As mentioned above, the sound is loaded perfectly when I set the url path to a string in my class variable as follows:

    public var mp3url:String = "tuba.mp3";

    Thank you in advance!

    use a function to pass this variable or you'll have a timing problem:

    in your class:

    private void urlF(urlS:String):void {}

    declare mp3url in your class

    mp3url = URL;

    You can now use mp3url

    }

    on your timeline:

    varF ("tuba.mp3");

  • In the variable name variable

    Hi guys/girls.

    I have a problem, I have a number of tables of items called "pres1", 'pres2', 'pres3', etc.

    I have a variable which will be 1, 2, 3...

    the amount of the variable goes up will always be the same amount as the number in the name of the table. That is to say if the berries go up to "pres6" the variable will go does not exceed 6

    I want to access the data in my table based on the currently set number variable

    IE: If myVar = 2, I want to access the data in "pres2.

    I'm sure that its probably something very simple and im just getting the syntax wrong, can anyone help?

    Thanks in advance

    If press1, press2, etc. are names of variables in the current scope, use:

    trace (this ["press" + myVar] [1]);

  • Subprocess name variable

    I wonder if anyone knows how to use a process variable of a main process known as a sub-process. All subprocesses have entered identical and variable, but the activities of different output process. If possible, I could call subprocesses based on data sent to the main process. I'm under LC ES2 SP1 on Win/JBoss, thank you!

    You will need to use the API to dynamically decide which process you want to call.

    This means that you can use the Execute Script service or build a custom component which takes the name of the process you want to call as an input parameter.

    You're probably on an old version of Captivate, right? The default length of a variable when it is inserted, it is 15 characters up to version 6. Now, it's 50, but you can change it when you insert the variable using the X key. Do not type a variable only in the text, but always insert with the X key to avoid typos.

  • Name of Movie Clip variable

    Hello

    How can I do a dynamically created movie clip name variable?

    var font_mc:MovieClip = this.createEmptyMovieClip ("police", 1);
    font_mc.loadMovie("fonts/myFont.swf");

    I would like to be able to specify dynamically create "font_mc", such as:

    var 'police' + i + "_mc": MovieClip = this.createEmptyMovieClip ("police", 1);
    'police' + i + ' _mc".loadMovie("fonts/myFont.swf");

    Thank you

    OK, it's working now. I found another reference to "font_mc" that I had not changed to use dynamic variable reference.

    Thanks for the help!
