Moving a Nexus to the new VSM architecture CPU

My VSM Nexus are running on the AMD based blades.  I'm slowly cut above new Intel blades.  I want cold migrate our VSM before these new leaves.

Any thoughts on whether AMD to Intel would spoil anything?

It is a big question.

I don't think it will cause a problem. I'm sure it will be fine, but I did not test with to be sure an AMD box.

If you want to test it, I would do the following.

1 clone VSM

2. disconnect all the cards from the network on the VSM cloned VM (very important)

3 move the clone VSM to AMD box

4. determine if it starts

Very important to the cloned VSM has certainly no network connectivity. If you leave the network attached, you'll find yourself with two primary VSMs running on the same network with the same domain ID and causing all kinds of damage.

I would say that as long as the VSM cloned boots (which I'm sure it will be 99%) I think you'll be fine.  Once you're happy she work, will remove the clone and plan your cold migration.

Other than the summary site that other files do I need to move?

PS Yes I know that I use an older version.  Don't do enough Web to justify and to upgrade.

I think you can export sites in DW8, its been a while that I used it, but your best bet is to export and import again.  Otherwise, the information is in the shared folder of the application, according to you, the BONES, it will be in a different location.

  • Satellite A10 - how to get the new job of CPU?

    Hi all

    Cut long story short:

I own a Toshiba Satellite A10 former model Celeron 1.8 Ghz processor, running Windows XP SP3.

Just bought a 2.5 Ghz Celeron processor SL75T, verified even FSB, same PIN, compared to the current 1.8 Ghz via Ebay.

Do you have a swap and replace the 1.8 Ghz with the last 2.5 Ghz, the laptop is able to start, but it just hangs before entered into normal windows.

I tried safe mode, it went smooth, however intermittently crashes, too, but unless I could enter and change some settings.

Initially thought it was the power of thermal design of the 24.5W old abreast 35W. Although without any solid evidence to me i.e. get made reliable on temperature processor 3rd party software (coz the 3rd party software cannot run in safe mode environment), the fan is still running strong, just changed new fan not too long.

My hunch is that, when I was in Safe Mode Windows, I could see that in the list of the hardware in the Device Manager, the processor is still showing old clocked at 1.8 Ghz and not the latest 2.5 Ghz? However, when I right click on my computer and select Properties ==> system properties, it is show 2.49 Ghz-very good, just not inside the hardware of the Device Manager list. I tried to uninstall, but it still does not work after that several reboot.

I don't think that there is no driver for the change of processor, what should I do to avoid this 2.5 Ghz to hang up every time before, it tries to go in normal windows? I think that this should be an operating system problem I right? (not sure) Please enlighten. Thank you!!

    Hello

in my opinion, your motherboard is not strong enough to continue to run this processor and any 2.5 Ghz Celeron processor SL75T has the same FSB and the stem.

  • How to go from VSM at the new location?

I have the VSM Dell done VMware rehearsals once a day between the two environments of vCenter. Now that seeding is finished, I need to move my DR SAN and server vCenter on toward the new location, which of course has a different network address.

I know how to change addresses SAN and vCenter, but I don't know how to restore the partnership between my production and DR VSMs so that I do not lose anything and replication can pick up back where she had stopped. Y at - it guides for this? I can't believe I'm the only one who has seeded at their main location and then moved off site...

    Thanks for any help!

    Hello

The replication is configured at the level of the EQL, no VSM group.   However, you need to remove the groups in VSM for groups where he has changed theIP address.  There is currently no option to change the IP address of the Group once it has been added to the VSM.  Which also removes saved schedules.

  • moving files from music to new drive__windows external media player does not recognize the new location

to increase disk space on my computer running Windows XP, I added an external hard drive and moved the folder "my music". I would then be able to delete the folder my music in the C drive and access my music in the new car, but Media Player think I deleted all my music and my library has disappeared.

How can I move my music files to the new drive, remove them from the C drive and have Media Player still keep my library and create a new file path?

    TIA

Where exactly your playlists are located? They are always on the C:\ drive, or you also move them to the external hard drive? The default location is the My Playlists folder in my music .

Make sure that location of playlists is also in the list when you press F3. If this doesn't help, you can manually drag and drop those playlists from Windows Explorer to the WMP library.

  • Unit - mailbox moved to the new storage group is not available

    Hello

I have a 4.0 (4) unit UM with a message from Exchange 2003 offbox store. During the initial installation, only the first storage group on the mail server was present and mailboxes of the users are hosted here.

Recently, a new storage group was created on the mail server and a mailbox has been moved from the first group of storage to the new storage group. The Subscriber is able to receive voice messages via e-mail, however his MWI does not illuminate. When it tries to connect to retrieve messages on his phone, the unit said "your messages are not available now.

I am able to create or import users that are hosted in the new storage group, but I'm having the same symptoms. Is it necessary to rerun the configuration of message store wizard?

    Thanks in advance.

Have you run Assistant permission for the new Bank of mailboxes?

The other thing to do is to restart the AvMsgStoreMonitor service; But wait after hours. A reboot will do the same.

  • Integrate the new routers BGP network Nexus 5 K

    Hello

I'm having a little trouble wrapping my head around how to do it.  We have an existing network that consists of Nexus 5 K in the data center.  We are now trying to design and implement a new site in the new network.

I have attached a diagram of the network in question segment.

To simplify the management of roads, we want to integrate the new routers in BGP network (both routers 2900 are new).  What I'm having lot to grasp, is how to intigrate the new existing network from the network.

In a lab, I am only able to implement the VRF, BGP using RD & RT scenario.  From my understanding and correct me if I'm wrong, if I use RD and RT. on the 2900 s I would need the same configuration on the Nexus for traffic.  Under normal circumstances I might just add RDs and RTs to the N5K but then I also need to go to all other locations and configure them as well.

I would be grateful for comments on how I can integrate these new routers with the existing network and maintain routing Dynamics using BGP.

    Thank you

If all inter the VRF routing is handled by the firewall, then your installation program can be quite simple.  You probably don't want BGP/MPLS on the dark - fiber link

lets say it was a vlan per VRF.

    (1) If you can import/export routes on the 2911 on the main site of each VRF see other VRF routes. If you want to only route through the firewall there is not need to do. In fact, as far as I can see that you want to import and export routes, you simply use subinterfaces on the firewall to control the flow of traffic.

The way to completely isolate the traffic is-

    (1) extend the VRF all the way from the main site to the remote site. Do you this by creating some subinterfaces on dark fiber between the 2900 connections s and then place each subinterface in the corresponding VRF.

    (2) on each LAN interface facing the 2900 s you again create the same subinterfaces and assign in the corresponding VRF.

    (3) to each LAN interface run you a trunk to the switch. (Not sure what you have on the remote site). In the primary site of this trunk would go to the Nexus switch and there would then be a trunk of the Nexus switch to the firewall. If it were a vlan by VRF there was no need of lass on the Nexus switch.

By VRF you can then run a protocol for routing if necessary for example. EIGRP or OSPF.

With the above, the only way for any device in a particular VRF to communicate with any other device is via a firewall interface. There is no import and export from any road. Are not in the VRF subinterfaces on the firewall and the firewall has a global routing table that contains all the routes each VRF and you strictly control access with a stateful filtering.

If you could not use subinterfaces on dark fiber connections, you can always watch GRE tunnnels.

The foregoing assumes that it is a vlan per VRF. If several VLANs, so there is a need of lass on the Nexus if routing between VLANS in the same VRF could be done. It is the same on a remote site.

If you do not run BGP to import and export on the 2900 s then you then trade routes between VRF. If the default gateway of customers has been set on the firewall then you should always get separation but if the customer has changed the door of the subinterface 2900 for example then this device would have within each VRF to VRF other routes.

So, based on what you described I do not see the need for any import/export routes.

    Does make sense?

  • I moved the files in Lightroom 5 from one drive to another (created the new folder and dragged).  Now I see warning of metadata.  What has caused this?  Can I import or rewrite the difficulty catalogue?

I am reorganizing lots of photos in Lightroom 5.  Some who were on my hard drive, I moved to an external drive.  I did all this in Lightroom.  I created a new folder on the hard drive, external, selected all the images in the folder on the hard disk, trained to the new folder.  Made sure they were there.  Then deleted the folder on the hard drive.  When I looked in Windows Explorer, the (empty) folder was still on the hard drive, so I deleted it there too.  Now, I get the warning on the images in the new folder metadata were changed in Lightroom and an external program.  The options are to import from disk or rewrite from the catalog.  I would like to know what caused this and how to fix it.

Thanks for the clarification of Nancy.

The warning of "metadata conflicts" is an indication that Lightroom "sees" a discrepancy between the data in its catalog and the data in the image file (or in the xmp file) on the real situation which could be due to permissions at the new location.

You should choose the option to replace the parameters, that is, rewrite in the Lightroom Catalog can write changes to metadata of the catalog itself.

(Import of the disc would cancel the metadata changes that you did until now)

  • Acrobat will not work after CS5 moved to the new computer

I moved my CS5 Suite, as well as the rest of my info to a new MacBook Pro, OS 10.10.4 using SuperDuper.  Photoshop, Illustrator worked immediately.  But for some reason, when I tried to launch Acrobat 9 Pro, I got an error saying that it had been installed as part of a suite and that I should launch Photoshop or another program to activate Acrobat.  I tried that several times, using PS or Illustrator, but no luck.  Has continued to get the same dialog box.

I went to Adobe cat, and the person told me delete the Cache.db file, and then try again.  This does not work while he had me uninstall Acrobat. Given that new MacBook Pro do not have a hard drive, I copied the Acrobat disk to a flash using a laptop drive older, then that allows to install on the new machine.  Now, when I try to launch Acrobat, I get a dialog box saying "license for this product has stopped working. You cannot use this product at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contact your administrator or Adobe... "I did once, but had the same results.  The agent told me that I have to uninstall all of the following, and then try again.

I would like to have a different opinion here.  The agent attempted to the cat down earlier when things did not work, and I had to ask a supervisor before he agreed to continue to help.  But this last outing, he signed off I could contact support again.  Very disappointed, and now I'm suspicious regarding if uninstallation of Photoshop, Illustrator, etc. will do the trick.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated!

    Easyebe,

You are using a Mac or Windows PC computer?

If using a Mac computer, go on--> Utilities application--> Adobe installer--> former names of applications and run the uninstaller for legacy applications.

If you use a Windows PC, go to control panel of-->> program and features and uninstall the old applications.

It allows to uninstall everything related to legacy applications, but your setting should be imporated to the new version of the applications.

  • ARCHIVELOG destination full and moving them to the new location for the backup

    Hello

    DB: 9.2.0.7
    OPERATING SYSTEM: AIX 5.3

When archivelog destination fills, I changed the destination of the log and tried to take the backup of the archivelogs tape after you move all the log files to new fixed location. But the archivelogs were not backup the new place and simply french.

The steps that I followed were here and please suggest, if I was wrong, doing so.

    1)
I put the new location as,

    SQL > alter system set log_archive_dest = ' LOCATION = / app/oracle/archive_New ";

    2)
I moved all archivelogs in new location(/application/oracle/archive) with the UNIX 'mv' command

    3)
After that I connected to RMAN to make all of them validate.

    RMAN > CHANGE ARCHIVELOG VALIDATE ALL;

    4)
I run backup the archivelog all with remove entry

RMAN > backup all archivelog entry delete; # Is this tape backup

    5)
After that tape backup archivelogs, I reset the archivelog to the original destination

    SQL > alter system set log_archive_dest = ' LOCATION = / oracle/u02/archive_original ";

    6)
Newspapers original back move using the UNIX 'mv' command if all newly generated archivelogs it
Do you have the logs, validate
    RMAN > CHANGE ARCHIVELOG VALIDATE ALL;

    7)
    Run the backup archivelog tape,
RMAN > backup all archivelog entry delete; # Is this tape backup

In my case, running the RMAN backup script will backup (Storage) team and they do not part of DBA (DBA do not have permission to run the script). So, I'll call them to run the script after you complete the steps 1,2,3 and 5.6.

Please suggest me the process that I've specified is correct?

    Thanks & Regars,

    Seems not are OK.

  • Moved the files to the new location and now need help

    A bit new to dreamweaver.

    CS4 Mac

I had created a site on an external HARD drive.

Some time ago I moved it to my internal HARD drive.

When I went to edit today I can't open it as a website... just like the individual pages.

When I went to use a portion of my assets, DW says that "I have to set a site before I can use any assets."

How to redefine my site - if I have already defined it, but DW doesn't see it...?

I hope that makes sense.  Any help is appreciated.

You can simply use quick Clone to clone the database layer node - see (Note: 230672.1 - cloning Oracle Applications 11i with rapid Clone version) and (Note: 799735,1 - Rapid Clone library resources, version 11i and 12) for more details. Just follow the same steps explained in the section above cloning database for the application tier node. Yet once, you don't have to install any software of 11i on the nodes of the target before proceeding to this clone. However, you need to just install all software from pre - req. OS and all the packages on the nodes of the target before running postclone.
