Caught CPU supported by HP dc7700

Can you tell me what processors does HP dc7700 support? I want to buy a new processor. Buy a quad core?

Thank you

Hello:

You can install up to a Pentium Intel C2D E7600 in the dc7700 with the last revision of the BIOS (v1.16 11 October 2011).

• Satellite Pro C850 - 1 H 8 - upgrade the BIOS CPU support

Hi there are people.

I'm wandering if there is a possibility of upgrade of the i5 3230 m which is currently in my Satellite Pro C850 - 1 H 8.

Looking at the options available in the decision-making FCPGA988 and chipset Intel HM70 there seems to be a variety of the i7 available for use.

The laptop supports processors with a TDP plu max than 35w?
The bios supports all the CPU upgrade options?

Cheers, Nick

In this forum, you will find various discussions on the theme of CPU upgrade.
I found this one:
http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=75073

Paolo and Macius posted some information about the situation of CPU upgrade.
As you can read in another thread, the CPU upgrade isn't supported. Updates can be made at your own risk, and no one can say if CPU supported by the chipset would be supported by the BIOS.
Test it if you want, but it's at your own risk.

You can upgrade to an SSD.

The simplest method is to use an SSD as the Corsair Force 3 and don't forget that you buy the kit of migration.

The migration kit comes with cloning software and a usb to SATA power cable that connects again SSD.

It is recommended that you purchase and SSD that is approximately 256 GB in quality if you can find one that is affordable.

• Intel i5 750 CPU supports FT?

Hi all

The Intel i5 750 processor is not explicitly mentioned in "processors and operating systems that support VMware Fault Tolerance"

http://KB.VMware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 1008027

I would like to know if it can be classified as 'Intel Xeon based on categories of Microarchitecture Core i7'?

If not, I'm just wondering why the i5 (Clarkdale) is included and the i5 (Lynnfield) is excluded.

In addition, one can explain the difference between "any series processor here may be used" and "each series of processor must be used separately" under the heading "Categories of Microarchitecture Core i7 '? Then a form of processor Nehalem/Lynnfield FT with Westmere/Clarkdale processor?

Kind regards

Terui

Processor Intel i5 750 is not on the HCL for ESX, so it is also not supported with FT.

The statement "each series of processor must be used separately" means that there is no interoperability between the processors on the list. In other words, you cannot use a 36xx with a 56xx, you can have pairs of feet with processors of same exact for this game. We hope to lift this restriction in the future.

Thank you

• PEGATRON (Asus) M2N68 - THE narrated 6.01 CPU Upgrade - error: CPU support is not installed

I have an AMD Phenom II X 4 965, I want to put in a Compaq Presario CQ5308UK.

The motherboard is a v6.01 PEGATRON (ASUS) CORP. M2N68 - THE Narra6

It says here

http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c01925534

that my motherboard supports the AMD Phenom II X 4 965. So I ordered a.

My BIOS version is 5.20, I can't find any update for this, but when I got him and turn on there is a black screen and then it says:

ERROR: Unsupported CPU installed.

PC will turn off automatically in a few seconds.

Then it turns off.

Support have been absolutely useless. I can't believe that this is said, sustained and so no one wants if handle does not. WTF is HP playing at?

Anyone got any ideas on this, or is it a loss of 150 quid and a new rule to never buy HP, once again, never?

Help would be greatly appreciated to get this working processor is supposed to be supported.

PresarioOwner,

I replied to your MP, but for the sake of those that the thread of analysis, I'll reiterate it here.

I had studied this for Fattysgonewild the other day (didn't know it was the same MB ask everything). The list of processors it displayed was me - and all those who have shipped us or could ship with the motherboard, it asked of (dependent on power supply installed, etc.).

The problem here is that all of the processors, this motherboard can support are all Socket AM3 with maximum TDP 95W. The CPU you are trying to use is a 125W CPU - and the BIOS knows the jury cannot provide much more current and tell. I confirmed this with the R & D at HP engineer responsible for this motherboard.

An update of the BIOS can not change that. Even if we could be hacked, the jury would probably overheat and fail shortly after.

I found the following on Wikipedia that did a good job to summarize the features different Phenom processors that are available:

http://en.Wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_AMD_Phenom_microprocessors

As for the motherboard plug - I see not Cree 9XX - 965 more precisely. My guess is that the motherboard plug were posted at the time of the introduction of Narra6. Usually, when they offer a 'special edition' or 'black label' CPU - it's a fine edition/upgrade in the product range. I will send a request to the documentation team with a recommendation to update the document to specify maximum TDP 95W.

They would not allow you to return the CPU, but maybe they can let you swap the CPU for one that will work...

Good luck...

• Windows 7 & Skylake Intel CPU support

I'm looking to build a new rig and want to continue using my Windows 7 existing license until the end of LIFE product in 2020 (or until 10 is radically improved or something else comes out).

By watching Z170 or x 99 platforms... leaning towards Z170 to allow future events.
During my research, I discovered the gen 6 new Intel processors Skylake will receive only Win7/updates on day of support until 2017. I've also heard the Skylakes will be targeted and forced to upgrade to Win10 via Windows Update. Are one of these true?
What are the other "newer" Intel processors (4th/5th gen i3/i5/i7, Haswell, etc.) that are currently planned for Win7 support 2020 pursuit?
In addition to my questions, please provide any additional info, you can share this topic. Thanks for your help!

Actually in charge in what concerns the ends win-7 2020 and I guess, according to many users, it will be expanded as x - p,.

However, Intel is :), there is a difference of 18 months

Not to mention that it's only in what concerns the new drivers of your cpu or the motherboard will not stop working :D

Support, however, depends on what kind of problems you might face = probably none is I think it's just a tactic for fear of upgrade.

M$ is desperate to make everybody buy in this stupid upgrade and eat it too many licenses of win 7 because they can

There is no real reason 7 and 10 cannot co-exist unless M$ wants no more than 7 on the market.

• BIOS & CPU Support for a1250n

I have a Pavilion a1250n with card of mother MS-7184, running the original Athlon 64 X 2 3800 +. I recently acquired an Athlon 64 X 2 4800 + on the cheap I want to install. I know the specifications of the motherboard on the status of site of HP that the Commission will support the 4800, but it does not indicate if a BIOS update is required to do. My current BIOS version is 3.34, while the latest published version is 3.47. The BIOS update file is only compatible with XP, and I'm running Windows 7 without dual boot.

Will be the Athlon 64 X 2 4800 + work in this system with the 3.34 BIOS version?

I just finished installing the new CPU without performing the BIOS update. Windows 7 recognized the new processor, the two hearts are ongoing processes, and the system appears stable. I guess this settles the question of whether the most recent BIOS is really necessary to upgrade the processor in the Pavilion a1250n (answer appers to 'no').

Restrictions and configuration notes

The guidelines and the following limitations apply to configuring Cisco TrustSec SGT and SGACL on Catalyst 3750-X and Catalyst 3560-X switches:

• You cannot statically map one IP subnet to a Sergeant you can that card to a Sgt IP addresses when you configure IP address-to-SGT mappings, the IP address prefix must be 32.
• If a port is configured as Multi-Auth mode, all hosts on this port connection must be assigned the same Sgt When a host tries to authenticate, his assigned Sergeant must be the same as Sergeant assigned to a previously authenticated host. If a host attempts to authenticate and his Sergeant is different from the previously authenticated host SGT, the port VLAN (VP) to which belong these hosts is error-disabled people.
• Cisco TrustSec execution is supported only on up to eight VLANS on a VLAN Trunk link. If there are more than eight VLANs configured on a VLAN Trunk link and Cisco TrustSec execution is enabled on VLANs, the switch ports on these links of VLAN Trunk will be error-disabled people.
• The switch can assign the SGT and apply SGACL matches from end-hosts of the SXP listen only if the end-hosts are adjacent Layer2 switch.
• Port mapping - to the-SGT can be configured only on Cisco TrustSec (i.e., switch-switch links). Port mapping - to the-SGT cannot be configured on the host-switch links.

When the port mapping - to the-SGT is configured on a port, a SGT is attributed to any circulation penetration on this port. There is no output on port traffic SGACL app.

Hello I'm trying to know what frequencies does the BlackBerry Pearl 9100 3 can handle, because I want to buy one, and that will be great, if it can support 850 mhz UMTS or HSDPA, one of them

Recently, there are newer models which, while they use the same model number, are configured differently for different carriers (I don't know if this applies to this model). Therefore, you should not check with whatever the carrier, you intend to use and see if you can get one that is compatible with their network.

• Core i5 rejected as suitable CPU? Installer says that the CPU supports virtualization?

Puzzled here; double checked even with Intel CPU ID utility to make sure that he said YES (and it does):

intel_corei5.PNG

Yet, when I boot the latest installer 5.5 esxi ISO it complain about the CPU, and I can not install it:

2014-05-07 15.10.33.jpg

Hardware virtualization is just a warning... This isn't preventing you to install. Have you looked in the BIOS and ensured that hardware virtualization (or virtualization technology) is enabled? You need to maybe turn off and turn on your system (really, restart not only or reset, remove the power actually) after changing the setting.

The reason why you can not install ESXi is the error of memory size above. You will need more RAM, or you can be able to go into the BIOS of the host and reduce the size of the graphics memory integrated in order to free enough RAM for ESXi run.

Then vCPUs are the processor cores, and they directly affect the number of sockets in the Microsoft world. 4 vCPUs is 4 shots. 8 vCPUs is 8.
