    Are these images located in the email... in the form of an attachment?

    If so, and assuming you are using Windows Mail > click the attahment (or paper clip) > click on save attachments > navigate to your pictures folder > click Save.

    Photo Gallery is just a middleman. Pictures are actually stored in your pictures folder, not the gallery.

  • Moving files from files/control/data files of recovery in a SAN

    Hello world
    Recently my body set up a San and I was instructed to move the data files of the current WINDOWS 2003 SERVER on the San. the way things are set up now, is that if I connect to my oracle server, I can see the local volumes on the SAN listed as disk drives.
    I guess that software will remain on the oracle server, while the data files will be moved to the SAN. My question is what are the steps involved to address this question: can I first of all move DATA files, then the REDOLOG FILES, and CONTROL FILES? I never had to move my data files before on another server or on disk, so I'll just try get a feedback on the most convenient way to do so. Thanks in advance for the help.

    Hello!

    To move the files to an Oracle database, you should close it. I guess that there are no problems with your San. I only describe the steps needed to move the files from a to b.

    Movement of data - and redologfiles.
    1.) query v$ data_file

    SELECT name, file#
    FROM   v$datafile;

    This will give you a complete overview of the data files that you need to move.
    2.) query v$ log_file

    SELECT member
    FROM   v$logfile;

    This will give you a complete overview of the redologfiles, you need to move.
    3.) stop your database.
    4.) move all the data files to the new location.
    5.) rename the data files in the database

    ALTER DATABASE
    RENAME FILE 'old_path/filename' TO 'new_path/filename';

    6.) move all the redolog files to the new location.
    7.) rename the redologfiles in the database (see step # 5)
    8.) create a pfile your spfile file (only if you use spfile)

    CREATE PFILE='C:\pfile.ora'
    FROM SPFILE;

    9.) move your controlfiles to the new location
    10.) Alter the CONTROLFILES parameter in the file pfile recently created.
    11.) create a SPFILE from your newly created pfile.

    CREATE SPFILE
    FROM  PFILE='C:\pfile.ora';

    12.) start your database (and pray)

    Yours sincerely

  • Moving files from old p/c in XP to new p/c under Windows 7

    I have a six year old computer of 32-bit Pentium 4 HP, I have upgraded the memory to 2 GB and have replaced the original 80 GB hard drive with a 200 GB hard drive. I think about buying a new HP desktop with an Intel i5-2320 64-bit 8 GB 2 TB harddrive. My old p/c is slow, and XP will only be supported for more than 2 years. My question is can I transfer all my old files from My Documents on the old pc to My Documents on the new pc? I don't know if Windows 7 will recognize them, or do I have to run through a conversion first. Thanks for your help, Rob Byers Surrey, British Colombia.

    Yes, you can save them to external storage. Your files are available in Windows 7 - they are data files and work on any computer (as long as you have a program to read them).

    Windows Easy Transfer
    Back up all your files and settings to avoid losing documents, photos and other information. Windows Easy Transfer is a free tool to copy files (not programs) from your PC and then transfer back after installation of Windows 7. If you don't want to use Windows Easy Transfer, you can copy your files to a Flash DRIVE or CD/DVD.

  • Moving files from an external hard drive to my computer

    I'm trying to move files from a disk external HARD connected to a router on my pc, and whenever I try to do the system show me a window with this message. IO error 0x8007045D error, I see a permission problem, then I configured for the 'Full' destination folder security access for everyone and nothing happened.

    Drive external hard there network permissions to connect with the computer and move files through the router?  Have already transferred files with the disc external hard connected this before?  It would work a lot better if you just connect the external hard drive directly on your computer.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Moving files from office with W98SE laptop with Vista Home Premium

    Hello
    I am struggling to move files from my PC of antique desk whose memory tracks 512meg W98SE via a generic (freebie) stick to my laptop XPS from Dell. The memory stick works.
    I installed a generic USB driver on the old PC, but not deleted my existing usb drivers. Still, the old pc isn't recognizing the memory stick.
    I received a suggestion that i've got FAT16 on old pc so not recognize FAT32 usb key. If I run the utility to change the hard disk from fat16 to fat32 how to avoid the risk of losing valuable pictures of family etc?
    The old PC has only a single read CD rom for backup on cd is not an option.
    Assuming that this forum can provide a solution to save files to the drive c on the memory stick, my Vista laptop will be able to pick up the FAT32 files?
    Here's hoping. Thank you.

    Best solution - pull the hard drive out of the old machine and put it in a USB external hard drive enclosure/adapter. Who join the new Vista machine and simply copy your files on. MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • Moving files from lightroom on external hard drive

    I read a few post on this topic, but I have not found the answers I'm looking for.

    I want to take all the pictures on my computer and put them on an external hard drive.  If I'm in lightroom and connect my external hard drive, if I just move all files to a disc external hard takes them out of my computer?

    In addition, I want to do is make a folder for each calendar year and the changes made to the photos.  So, if I save my project and move it over the pictures, this means that any changes I made on these photos will stay with these photos?

    To have all my pictures on the computer, if I wanted to reopen a file from my external hard drive through lightroom, they automatically opens with all the changes always made for them?

    Point 1: Yes, Lightroom will move from your computer to the outside. However, I would not recommend doing so, I copy the files from the computer to the external help for your operating system and when you checked the copy is ok and you've "updated the location of the folder" in Lightroom and then you can delete the folders on your computer.

    Point 2: You can do manually in Lightroom using the sort options to reach the older that you want or craete a new catalog and import your current and the importing stage move files to folders by date order.

    Point 3: Yes, it will be, but you won't be able to 'work' the files that are on the drive offline, unless you have generated clever insights.

  • Moving files from pro final cuts on another hard drive

    I have a mess.  I installed a new external hard drive more and all my files pro FCP move toward her.  I also want to delete unnecessary files to free up space.  I bought a cool program Final Cut Library Manager and was able to easily move all my libraries to the new drive.  I organized my new drive in folders, IE. Cup 2014 final, Final Cut 2015, Final Cut 2106 I my libraries in the years I've done them.  I libraries moved but I still all those other files on the old hard drive and I don't know what to do.   I have a folder named "Final Cut Library" and it is 500 GB in size.  Within the limits it are named Final Cut optimized Media, original Final Cut and Final heart Proxy Media media.  Can I just delete all of them in the finder?

    I also have a bunch of other files that seem to be names of library with the names of EDT.fcpbundle.  I need these files?  Can I just delete or move in finder?

    Thanks for any help.

    "There are the folders named Final Cut optimized Media, original Final Cut and Final heart Proxy Media media.  Can I just delete all of them in the finder? »

    These files are in the bundle of FCP X., you open the contents of the package?

    At any rate yo can remove from the Finder, please make sure that everything works well on the new external until you to empty.

    "with the names of EDT.fcpbundle"

    They will be back up files that are very small, probably in your home > movies folder.

    You can their trash if you wish.

  • moving files from music to new drive__windows external media player does not recognize the new location

    to increase disk space on my computer running Windows XP, I added an external hard drive and moved the folder "my music". I would then be able to delete the folder my music in the C drive and access my music in the new car, but Media Player think I deleted all my music and my library has disappeared.

    How can I move my music files to the new drive, remove them from the C drive and have Media Player still keep my library and create a new file path?

    TIA

    Where exactly your playlists are located? They are always on the C:\ drive, or you also move them to the external hard drive? The default location is the My Playlists folder in my music .

    Make sure that location of playlists is also in the list when you press F3. If this doesn't help, you can manually drag and drop those playlists from Windows Explorer to the WMP library.

  • Moving files from one event to another in the same library

    When I try to move the file by dragging the clip from one event to another, I get this message that "the file could not be opened because there is no file of this type." I have Final Cut Pro X was last updated.

    I find it interesting since when I imported the raw images from an SD card for Final Cut Pro, I copied all the files in the library. I even played the files and they worked.

    I would be very grateful for any answer I can receive. If worse comes to worse, I can always import the images even once to the appropriate event, because I still images raw on one SD card.

    You can post a screenshot of your browser?

  • Moving files from one account to another account

    I need to transfer files on vista from a user account to a different user account. Is this possible?

    Sure. Do it from an administrative account, or even more simply - copy the files in the Public directory on a single account. Now, when you connect to the other user account, you will have no problem by copying the files that are in the Public access to Documents of the user, etc.. And for more information:

    User - recommended configuration (Vista and Win7) accounts

    You absolutely don't want to have only one user account. As XP and all other Windows 7, Vista, and modern operating systems are operating systems multi-user with integrated system of accounts as default Administrator and comments. These accounts should be left alone because they are part of the structure of the operating system.

    In particular, you do not want account only one user with administrator privileges on Vista and Windows 7 because the administrator account integrated (normally only used in emergencies) is disabled by default. If you use as an administrator for your daily work, and this account is corrupt, things will be difficult. It is not impossible to activate the built-in administrator to rescue things, but it may require more work you want to do. Better not to get into a bad situation at first.

    The user account that is for your daily work must be a Standard user, with the extra administrative user (call it something like 'CompAdmin' or 'Tech' or similar) only it for elevation purposes. As a user Standard is recommended for security reasons and will help protect your computer against infections. After you have created "CompAdmin", connect to it and change your normal user account Standard. Then log on to your regular account.

    If you want to go directly to the desktop and ignore the Welcome screen with the icons of the user accounts, you can do this:

    Start Orb > Search box > type: netplwiz [Enter]
    Click continue (or provide an administrator password) when you are prompted by UAC

    Uncheck "users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to connect automatically by clicking on the account you want to highlight and press OK. Enter the password for this user account (when it exists) when you are prompted. Leave blank if there is no password (null). MS - MVP - Elephant Boy computers - don't panic!

  • How to avoid the FDM-command being moved files from the OpenBatch folder

    Hello world

    I have a little problem with Batch Processing of the FDM - I need to stop the movement of files in the folder OpenBatch - when a batch is executed.

    The installer by using the Task Manager, a load a Batch Script and Script integration all works very well. However, the process must run every 3 hours, so I need the file "A_LedgerTransLocation_Actual_nov - 2013_RR.txt" to remain in the \Inbox\Batches\OpenBatch\ folder at any time.

    How to avoid the file is moved?

    Best regards
    Frederik

    PS: I noticed on the OTN Forum is it may be possible to script a solution such as:

    FSO1 = CreateObject ("Scripting.FileSystemObject") set
    Set File1 = FSO1. GetFile ("FDM Directory\FDM Application\Inbox\Batches\Openbatch\A_LedgerTransLocation_Actual_nov-2013_RR.txt")
    The BATCHENG value. PcolFiles = BATCHENG.fFileCollectionCreate (CStr (strDelimiter), File1)

    However this is not possible, as the controllers of the company need to edit the. TXT file themselves. They will not be able to edit the script too.

    I don't think you can prevent the FDM, move the file. I'm assuming that the file change in each period to use the last period of POV, so I think that option easiset to copy the file (based on a part of the name (location?) to a temporary location before began the FOM and write again later.)

  • Moving files from first elements 8 PC for Premiere pro CS5 for Mac

    Hi, I am a new user of Creative Suite CS5 Production Premium on a Mac and I'm trying to open some of my unfinished projects of video from my old computer with Premier Pro. My old computer is a PC and I had been editing HD with first Elements 8 images, but I now have an equipped MacBook Pro which is much more suitable to what I was trying to do on my old computer, and I'd rather finish my projects on my new mac rather than on my old computer.

    I exported my workspace for the videos and the file of the elements, I was working on in folders and them moves on my Mac's hard drive. I read that first Pro CS5 automatically converts files of items when they are open, however, I get an error message about how they are files of a PC version of the elements and cannot be opened. My question is, is it possible to convert PC files first elements 8 into something that can be opened on the first Pro CS5 for Mac?

    PrE is only available for the PC. Unfortunately, there is no compatibility between PC GER (PREL) and PrPro on a Mac project files.

    It was the same with files in project PrPro 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0, because they were PC only and there is no Mac version, up to CS3. The only solution was that could get a friend on a PC with the CS3 version to open/import the PrPro 1.0-2.0 projects inside, let it convert and then make a Save_As. That the resultant project COULD be opened/imported in CS3 Mac. Compatibility is with PrE8 and CS5 - PC.

    Your choice is:

    1.) export rough-edited pre on your old PC files and then import those as assets, to finish editing

    2.) find a friend with CS5 - PC, import/open these project files PrE who, not a Save_As and then move the files to your Mac project

    3.) finishing editing on the PC

    Sorry for the bad news, but good luck.
