• communication series with VISA

  I'm trying to communcate with a power supply via a serial connection.  Communication works very well in Hyperterminal and putty, but I can't seem to run in labview.  It times out when trying to read the data.

  1 stop bit

  no flow control

  Send "VOLT?" with CTRL + J for line break

  Returns under the voltage at the output of the UUT.

  You are not sending the line break.  You send only "Volt"?

  Make a right click on the string constant, visible display style and make \codes show.  Then enter \n at the end.  Now you send VOLT? with the line break.

  In addition, remove the shift regsiters on the son of reference and error.  (A single time-out error will keep your VI to run again until you stop and restart the VI)

  And put a close VISA outside the loop.

  Your 4 character button events 'home' have all orders ending in the line.  Other events are not.  My guess is that the unit does not recoginize newline character he received a valid full command until he got the line.

  Can you please tell us how these PDF files have been converted? If they have been converted by a third-party application, then they don't contain any internal file information which are necessary to ensure a clean conversion. Or, it is possible that the font used in the PDF file is not available for service ExportPDF. Please see Will Adobe ExportPDF convert text and shape... | Adobe community.

  You may want to try to disable OCR as described in this paper: How to disable the optical character recognition (O... |) Adobe Community (although not optimal if the PDF files started as scanned documents, because it is OCR that converts the image into editable text text).

  Or, you can try to convert via Acrobat. You can download a free trial version of http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat.html.

• Window Popup with strange characters when you want to play music from the cloud

  When I try to play music on the cloud (music downloaded on my computer), I get a popup with some strange characters. It was working fine 2 days ago. Nothing has changed on my computer. I tried uninstalling iTunes and reinstalling. Shows the problem. Any help would be appreciated.

  PS - all anti-virus software are up and running.

  As an addendum, I tried to download music (by clicking on the cloud icon, which then shows an arrow pointing downwards). This popup has shown once again.

  Then I thought maybe it was having a problem with my account or my computer don't think she was allowed. So I checked my account login, and I was connected. Then I tried allowing my computer and this popup appeared again. I then tried my scroll wheel and it seems that it is a right screen.   When sending Mail 'icloud.com' emails and use special characters like the German a, o, u, the problem is, that in the recipients email client mail received contain strange characters.

  I can't reproduce your problem with icloud webmail auto-generate the incorrect character set, mine is utf - 8.

  What browser?  What version of Mac OS X?  Language of the interface for icloud.com?

  In this case, when P1_ORGANISATIE exceeds 3998 characters, you'll get an "ORA-01704: string literal too long"-error and the P1_TEST will show an element called "undefined".

  A way around this is possible because for a named LOV, you can use a "function that returns a sql query" instead of a simple sql query. In other words, we can apply in the context of PL/SQL and thus have maximum for expressions of 32767 instead of 4000 characters. In addition, it is possible to use the two APEX_UTIL. STRING_TO_TABLE and APEX_COLLECTION.

  Setting "Source: lists of query values" on the LOV appointed to P1_TEST with the following code will work:

  While AL32UTF8 is certainly recommended for the Oracle database character set, use only, if your application provider has confirmed that their application will work with a set of characters to multibyte database.

  To create a database US8PC437 (it is rarely a choice, in fact) with DBCA 11.2, select the "character sets" tab, once shown, then select the option 'Choose from the list of character sets' and uncheck 'Show recommended only character sets '. This will add US8PC437 to the "Database character set" drop-down list. Select "US8PC437" from the list and continue the process of creation.

  But first, contact your provider and ask a compatible Unicode version of your application.

• Content and tab Index showing the characters corrupt in Asian languages (RoboHelp 10)

  Japanese and Chinese files CHM I received from my Asian translator show correct characters in the Index table to the tabs. I need to make a change to the help, but when I open the project or compile it, words for these tabs show as corrupted characters. I have Japanese and simplified Chinese language packs installed and tried to move my PC language to these languages, but still get the corrupted characters.

  One thing I notice is that, in the! Language! files for all languages, there is a! Language!. FPJ file and a folder en_US with a file of en_US.fpj in it. The two .fpj files include the text "<? XML version = "1.0" encoding = "utf - 8"? ' > '. Should there be a different .fpj for Asian languages file?

  Any other ideas?

  Edit: Also, I changed the language in the settings dialog box of the project for the simplified Chinese while my PC language has been updated with the Chinese, but that has not changed anything.
