Mozilla Firefox crashes at startup without any accident or error message either.

Today, when I double click on the icon for Mozilla Firefox, jumped out of the window for a second and then the moment after moment he disappeared suddenly. I can't access Firefox, not even in Safe Mode, Compatibility Mode, run as administrator or another mode.
I tried re-installing, did not work. I get no message crash, it just closes by itself. Firefox.exe will appear in the Task Manager when I double-click it in Windows Explorer, and it disappears when the window disappears, the moment after moment.
I have Windows 7 Professional 64-bit. Never encountered such a problem before.

There is no crash report, the crash window appears, so no accident report is generated. I can't access the troubleshooting information, because I can't operate of in Firefox.

I managed to find the problem. Apparently, an add-on installation page has been implemented service by default in my browser for a reason, and it has closed several times himself, so closing the browser. When I opened an HTML document on my hard drive, it has opened in a new tab and maintained this page Add on open in another tab. If Mozilla remained open. But when I went to the tab add-on, the closed tab itself. But Mozilla is open! Yay!

Also tried to hit history - recently closed tabs to reopen this page, but it keeps itself closed, so I don't know what add-on which would be. In any case, now, I managed to solve this problem, because the tab is closed, so I hope that my home page will pop up then, instead of this thing with the add-on.

  • Firefox crashes at startup, even after complete reinstallation. No add-on.

Everytime I open FF, it freezes completely within 5 seconds. I uninstalled and reinstalled, I deleted all traces of its data using Revo uninstaller & FF, then reinstalled and still get the same results. I saw where malware can cause this kind of problem, so I ran full scans with Microsoft Security Essentials, Malwarebytes, security of Microsoft and Kaspersky Security scanner Scanner. They all came clean.

I would love to submit an accident report, but apparently these accidents are not generating them. The only thing in AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Crash reports is an InstallTime file, as of today (the date of my last reinstall). I can not also add troubleshooting information, as FF crashes before I can add something.

This is exactly what is happening: I run FF, sensitive whish for the first couple seconds. After that, it freezes completely and finally "(ne répond pas) ' is added to the title bar." A little later, Windows is displayed, asking if I want to find a solution. That's all.

    Win 7 Pro, FF 18.0.2.

The FF window appear even when I tried to start it in safe mode (I had to kill the process), so I restarted my computer in safe mode, and it worked. Looking at msconfig to find what could be the cause of the problem, I found a suspicious entry I was able to confirm a malware that missed all the scans. For reference, it's in AppData/Roaming/Elryu/onmo.exe. I'm sure it was randomly generated names, but I think it's important to mention.

    Everything works perfectly now.

Thanks for your help - mainly just, I didn't know where to start with my FF troubleshooting, cause I never had problems with it before.

Hmm, Yes, incident reports are old now.

As long as I can guess, I note something that is coming a lot lately: If you use Norton Security software, it seems to be a serious boot problem crash if you also have a program called Freecorder from Applian Technologies. If you find Freecorder in your Start menu > all programs or in your control panel, uninstall a program, and it is not crucial to keep it, please try to delete it. You have to maybe stop and restart Windows to make sure that it is completely disabled.

  • Firefox crashes randomly and without warning

    Hello

I have a problem with my Firefox crashing constantly, any Web page I'm on. Sometimes it crashes after I've been online for a few minutes, sometimes it crashes immediately on startup. I just never know when it's going down, but he always does. I completed all the steps listed on the Web site of your support:

       Update your software
           Update Firefox
           Update your plugins
           Update Windows
           Update your drivers
           Update your Internet Security software
       Check for viruses or spyware
Check to see if the crash happens in safe mode.

I did all that, and the crash always happens in Mode without failure. I am still able to connect for a few minutes between the accidents, but as you can imagine is pretty boring. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
