MS Security Scan found virus: win32 / Induc.A

The partially deleted scan. How can I remove the rest? My vista 64-bit OS.

Thanks for listening.

It is preferable to run the full scan of the system and it will remove it. Also, if you do not have an anti-virus, think about getting one such as Microsoft Security Essentials:

  • So, my computer has a virus moneypak and ontop of the said virus pro safety. And I can't download any anti-virus scan malware to get rid of them due to my failure of security scanning.

So, my computer has a virus moneypak and ontop of the said virus pro safety. And I can't download any anti-virus scan malware to get rid of them due to my failure of security scanning. So I went to check on my Microsoft Security databases to see what is happening, and it will not even open! Whenever I click it, it says "You don't have the right permission to open" (my security essential has been like that for maybe a week now. and I just received today two viruses) while I try to uninstall, but it won't allow me because of something not having the right to access and contact an administrator. So I can't open the MSE, can't uninstall it, can not download any virus anti-malware to get rid of the moneypak and pro. I'm so lost, please any suggestion on what I can do to fix my computer would be greatly appreciated!

  • Virus: Win32 / Alureon.H

    Hello

I think I have a virus on my computer and I don't know how to remove it. When I start my computer usually works ok, but then, after about twenty minutes, I get a pop up saying "Generic Host Process for win32 Services" which disables my internet and some other programs.
Having then tried to find a solution, I ran a scan complete computer from microsoft who said that he had found, but only partially removed "Virus: Win32 / Alureon. I'm not sure if this virus is related to the above pop-up, but I just want to know how to remove it.
    Thank you, Matt.

  • Norton Security Scan continue to settle

On my wife's computer (Vista Home Premium), I discovered today, Norton Security Scan . Neither my wife nor I have knowingly downloaded or installed this. We use any Norton (Symantec).

I've uninstalled it. When I restarted, after a few minutes, he himself installed again. This has happened every time that I uninstalled it and restarted.

After some research, I discovered that there is an entry "Run once":
    nssstub.exe

I discovered nssstub.exe in the directory
    C:\Windows\System32\Adobe\Shockwave11

I think that this must have been through the latest updates of Adobe, but for all I know it's a virus masquerading as a good faith security program.

In fact, I'm not even sure that nssstub.exe is the offending program, even if it looks like that.

Anyone know how I can properly get rid of Norton Security Scan program which continues to settle?

    TIA

Oh wow, I found the answer!

It is a true unwanted program from Norton, so at least we know, it is not a virus (even if she acts like one).

The only way to get rid of it is apparently by editing the registry. Here's the answer (see number 3 response):

Use Kaspersky "s TDSSKiller who must take care of it.

If TDSSKiller does not work you can try to run RogueKiller first, then TDSSKiller.

For Vista / Seven, right click on-> run as administrator, for XP, just run RogueKiller.exe

If TDSSkiller still does not work, you can try FixTDSS.exe (it can not be blocked)

  • McAfee Security Scan more and Trend Micro Security Conflict?

I have Trend Micro security on my windows vista PC Dell.  A few months ago, I noticed that I also have McAfee Security Scan Plus wants to periodically scan my PC.  I didn't ask to install McAfee security Scan Plus, so I don't know where it comes from.  I wonder if it is not authentic, as well as the way in which it on my PC.  Do I have to get rid of him, and if yes, how do I do that?

Sometimes the PC manufactures such as Dell will put a free demo of product antivirus PC or laptop that sell them. These anti-virus would expire after the trial and you could buy it or uninstall it.

If you have Trend Micro, you could go into Control Panel, add/remove programs and uninstall McAfee.

  • Remove virus Win32/Protected.Fm

My system is infected with a virus attached to my WinLogon file. According to my AVG Virus Remover it is white listed which means that the program cannot be removed because it is essential to the operation of the computer. How can I do to remove it manually. I'm reluctant to simply restore my computer if I use Microsoft Office widely and have my discs (they were lost in a substantive motion) and don't have hundreds of dollars to replace.

This virus also affects the recognition of my hard drive. I tried to load a new malware fighter and he told me that he could not find the E drive, my hard drive is D.

    Thanks for any help.

    Hello

    Method 1.
I highly recommend to run a Scan of Virus online.

Sometimes the security program installed might not be fair enough. I also recommend you update your security software regularly.

    a. follow the link below to start the free online scan:
    http://OneCare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm

    b. run the malware removal tool from Microsoft.

    Method 2.
In addition, you should consider the steps that are listed in the article below for disk drive.

Your CD or DVD drive is missing or is not recognized by Windows or other programs

  • I think my IE has a virus but not of my scans for virus or malware checks come up with anything. Is there a way to check this?

I think my IE has a virus but not of my scans for virus or malware checks come up with anything. My computer is running VERY slowly, lagging behind, or even on an occasional basis freezes and stops when I'm on the net. Computer function uses only the net works fine until a program I use try to use Windows Explorer. Is there a difference between Explorer Windows and Internet Exporer and is there a way to check this, other than the usual scans. I have McAfee and AVG, as well as malicious software running on a schedule and they are still running in the background, constantly analyzes the sites.

I am at a total loss here. I use secure sites (https rather than just http) when the choice and do not use sites that McAfee or AVG is marked as dangerous. It worries me that I have a lot of things, such a Bank, online and not worry that someone could get information. I recently also maually run the two scan disk and Defrag but they can also be programmed to run on a schedule. The model is NOT saved. When I tried ot create a backup disk, when I first bought the model, something has gone wrong, and he refused to back up then reset would mean a great loss of material. If it's a virus, worm, etc., it is done gradually and I'm not sure that a restart of the plant would be useful it is in IE or Windows Explorer (if there is a difference).

Yes, it is safe to uninstall McAfee.

You can also try CCleaner: http://www.filehippo.com/download_ccleaner
"CCleaner is a freeware system, privacy and cleaning tool optimization. It removes unused files from your system - allowing Windows to run faster and free up valuable disk space. »

Norton Security Scan has been deleted accidentally by one of my roommates, how can I re - install on my computer?

The same way you did before.

Well said. Alternatively, you could install an anti-virus that doesn't suck (my opinion) such as Microsoft Security Essentials (free), AVG free, etc.
