MSAd/LDAP for FDM configuration error

I use 11.1.1.3 and configure the SSP as the authentication provider.

For the FDM setup applications, I intend to use my Windows administrator account, which I also use to connect to the server.

Right now, everything I have is the user "admin" by default hyperion in the native directory of shared services. I think I need to configure the windows "Administrator" account in shared services. My question is: what user directory windows are under administrator account? LDAP, MSAD?

I tried to use MSAD but when I goto 'fetch DN' I get an error stating that the invalid host name or port. (I checked the host name is the name of the computer that I have, the port is by default 389)

Any input appreciated.

The only option you have is to us the native ADMIN HSS user to initially create the application, and then you can add a LDAP or MSAD provider services shared at a later date. That's what I would recommend.

If I start from the \products\\Essbase\EssbaseClient-32 < EPM_ORACLE_HOME > MaxL shell it seems to work correctly. I am able to start the MaxL shell and I am also able to see essmsh.exe * 32 in my task manager process. What is the logic behind this?

    (3) in the case of question 2, if you open the startMaxL.cmd file in a text editor, you see a line that says "SET ARBORPATH = % ESSBASEPATH %". Then Arborpath or not not to start maxL shell and what is the relevance of this with FDM?

    YES, that's correct. You don't need of the system ARBROPATH or early variable user with 11.1.2.1

    REASON, 11.1.2.1 you only need the ESSBASEPATH variable that will point to the directory EssbaseRTC\11.1.2.0 as stated in the Readme adapter guide.

    It's something that you can use to test if the environment variables are configured correctly. IF you follow the adapter Essbase readme explicitly regarding changes in variable environment, the integration works as expected.

    Yes, this path must be defined in the PATH variable. It is documented in the readme adapter guide.

  • user name for FDM

    We use the user name active directory for connection of Hyperion.

    This user name is 20 characters. Using the same ID, the user can connect to the workspace of Hyperion. However, she is still getting the error of authentication of security on FDM. She has exactly the same as other users FDM is created. (Add to a group of native directory that is configured for FDM. Then assign the locations named in the FDM)

    This makes me think if just FDM does not like long user names? She also tried Prod environment and Dev and gets exactly the same problem. Any clue? Thank you.

    Should not be the length of the name, probably that the password has a & as mentioned JTF85.

    The connection of the user to the established customer does  If they can, should be an & in the password.

    1. I have managed to create an application of FDM using FDM web client.

    2. later I imported the FDM adapter - FM11X-G6-C in the Workbench of FDM and also saved the file fdmFM11XG6C.dll successfully.

    It was a problem with the Machine profile configuration, where I had updated the username and password and it had to remain a Virgin.

    Keep the username blank password in the configuration of the machine profile has solved the problem.

  • With INSERT for FDM memory problem

    We have configured FDM to run a script of integration in our instance EBS at the import stage. It worked fine for awhile, then we started to run out of memory on the server FDM. At the suggestion of the Oracle, we stopped through a record set for add and update the values of strWorkTableName and instead, he began to use INSERT INTO.     I really think that the problem is that I am not tell the script where to find the Oracle tables to. I left the code wherever we use the UDL to call for the opening of the Recordset, but since we do away with the Recordset how let FDM knows where to find the Oracle tables?

    Did you build a database for the GL data link? These paintings GL.GL_BALANCES A, GL.GL_CODE_COMBINATIONS B, GL.GL_PERIODS C, GL.GL_LEDGERS D are not part of the FDM and I do not see how treat you your education cnSS.open strConn sSQL binder.

  • You don't have enough privileges for the configuration of the connection properties. Contact your administrator

    When you attempt to connect to the VPN Aventail I get th e following in a "Connection error" message box: "you don't have enough privileges for the configuration of the connection properties. Contact your administrator. That this connection has worked before. I suspect a MS patch for breaking it. Any help would be appreciated.

    We have solved the problem yesterday, by simply reinstalling the Aventail software.

    I spoke to network administrators and nothing had changed, so it's quite strange.

    I ran recently on my Windows XP Home Edition SP3 computer system recovery and once the recovery is finished I rebooted the system and then this message and I'm stuck here.

    I don't have any disc that came with the computer because it was very long ago already. I tried to download the 'Home Edition Set Up disk for Floppy Boot Installation of Windows XP"Microsoft, but I can't launch the ff:

    I burned a DVD ROM, but I don't know what to do next. After burning, I reinserted the disc to your computer from the active autorun. Then I inserted the disc for my Windows XP that has "System Configuration Error" and I tried to restart it but theres just no autoplay or anything that the computer always crosses the "System Configuration Error" message and I don't know how to access the set up disc.   • Windows Media Center Configuration error

    Hello. I found people with this problem all over the internet but I have yet to get a final solution.

    My PC is running Vista Home Premium with Media Center the greats. It is connected to my wireless network.

    My Xbox is connected to the network directly, as he's sitting right next to her.

    My PC detects the Xbox in 'Network' and it appears as an Extender when I run the Media Center application. My Xbox gives me the 8 digit code and I put it. I said I want to share media, and it then goes to the configuration bit extender. Then it says Configuration error.

    I have enabled Media Player via my firewall, open all the necessary local ports and don't have any other firewalls up. I don't know what is happening.

    I'd like to get this up and running, so any help is welcome.

    I started having side by side configuration errors trying to open Chrome.  It then spread to Quicken.  Then Norton.  I took my laptop to a computer store to fix.   It has been cleaned and "fixed."  But tonight just trying to open a PDF file, I'm back for another side by side configuration error.  When does this stop?  How can I get rid of this error for good?

  • DMA2200 not will impact configuration and reports a configuration error

    I used the DMA2200 successfully until recently when he lost contact with my Windows 7 PC. The PC can see the DMA2200 on the network, but after 8-digit code, I always get a configuration error and a new user (Mcx1). I use AVG 9.0.819. This does not have a firewall, so I use the built in Windows 7 firewall. This deactivation makes no difference. My PC has been upgraded to Vista successfully little after that Windows 7 is out. I used the DMA2200 since then OK but maybe never implemented since the upgrade of the operating system. I checked for DMA2200 updated firmware, but it signals that I am up to date. My connection is an administrator. I keep everything where I can.

    Solved! The problem was a software the Bank invites you to install. It's report. It has never given any other issue. I've uninstalled it during my investigations and the Extender (DMA2200) has finally set up OK. After you have reinstalled the report still seems to work OK.

  • Configuration error up to Xbox 360 as extension of media including Windows 7 PC multimedia

    Running Windows 7 x 32.

    Until the recent XBox 360 update, everything worked fine using 360 as a media Center Extender.

    Now fails and when I try to resestablish a connection, a configuration error arises.

    Network connection looks very good I can still media playback fine on the Xbox interface.  Media Center seems to find and install the extension OK, just fails during Setup.

    Have tried with AV and fiewalls disabled (Karspersky) without success.

    Frustrating that was working fine, now the functionaility is lost.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated

    For months, I met a problem exactly as described here, but I finally fixed it on my machine and I think that I learned at the base of it.

    The fix (this is for Windows 7, can also apply to Vista):

    1. find your file 'Users' (usually c:\users).

    2. under "Users" folder, navigate to the subdirectory "Default\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows Live".
    Note: The directory does not exist, but I saw the problem of the Extender only on a computer that has it.

    3 inside of that directory, there are additional subdirectories (e.g. "Bob" and "SqmApi"). Inside, there are several files with the extension .sqm. THE PROBLEM IS WITH. SQM FILE PERMISSIONS. Specifically, the profile service has access permissions or to copy files when you create a new profile.

    4. to solve the problem of authorization, perform the following actions on each of the SQM files.
    Note: Inherit permissions from the parent container will grant all access to read files.

    a. right click on the file, select Properties.
    b. Select the Security tab, click the Advanced button
    c. Select the permissions (default) tab, click on change permissions...
    d. MARK THE BOX: include permissions can be inherited from the parent of this object.
    e press the OK button several times to close all dialog boxes.

    Then, the Media Center Extender installation program as per regular instructions.

    While these steps managed to fix my computer, they may not apply to all situations. My advice is to run the following diagnosis:

    1. use the control panel to create a new user account.

    2. use "Switch user" (or Log off/Log) in an attempt to connect to this new account. This attempt will fail (if not, you may have a different problem).

    3 look at the log of the events of 'Application' (under "Windows logs") for the relevant events.

    On my machine, I received several warnings with 1509 event Id on files that could not be copied from Users\Default to Users\TEMP due to access denied errors. There were files .sqm with incorrect permissions.

    So I installed CS6 on my Z210 Windows 7 workstation. But when I go to open half of the programs, in particular first Pro I get this message...

    Method 2:

A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

    I keep getting configuration error when I try to run Photoshop from the creative cloud, as well as the error Code 16 application.
