MSE does not work.

I created everything yesterday and MSE has worked well throughout the day.  Last night all of a sudden it tells me that it is not followed my computer because it's service has stopped.  Anyone know what this means?  When I check the settings, everything is green, except the malware protection.

  • Cisco MSE 8510 MCU - comments PIN does not work

    Hello

We have a few conferences on 8510 blade. Each conference is the main AXIS and the comments set up PIN. When I dial in the Conference, main SPINDLE works fine but the PIN prompt does not work.

I tried to deal with the PIN of an endpoint, then the guest PIN from the other end, but the Conference does not accept the feedback PIN. I can use the good main SPINDLE on the two end points.

Anyone know what may be the issue?

I just tested this without 8510, no problem at all.

Can you give us a screenshot of the configuration of your conference?

I had used the same digital ID for Chair and comments, with a different PIN for each.  When I connected as Chairman, I went straight in.  When I connected as a guest, I went straight in, but I got a quick saying saying President to arrive or to connect.

  • System Restore does not work, once again.

Hi, I read a topic of 2010 that has not yet been answered. I worked with a tech at Microsoft by e-mail, but when I answered: System Restore didn't work. Now it does not work yet. I had installed Returnil system safe, but I got an error msg 0 x 80004005, (third-party antivirus), so I uninstalled the program. I went through the registry and delete something with Returnil all 4 sections of the registry. Remove the common files folder that was left after uninstalling. Restarted my computer several times. I use MSE, with free versions of spywareblaster and MBAB, who are both at the request not in real time. I tried to restore to a time before I had installed Returnil first, (I installed and uninstalled 3 times in 2 days) and could not. I tried to use a snapshot to restore spywareblaster and managed to restore to the point 2 x before installing because forward the installation of point returnil has been altered. At the moment no malware has been detected and no threat of MSE. What to do next?

Thanks in advance for any help. Liz.

Here's my usual route to find out how to reinstall System Restore:

If you have already run MBAM and SAS, temporarily disabled your antivirus and anti-malware applications and tried your Safe Mode system restore and you still get the restoration of the system to work, you must reinstall just your system restore.  You do not have to reinstall XP - just reinstall the system restore part.

System Restore is a frequent target of attacks by malicious software.

When you reinstall the system restore, all your current Restore Points will be deleted and you must restart your computer once the installation is complete.  After the reboot, a new Restore Point will be created as a new point of system control in your calendar of SR.

If your system had a malware infection, it could be that some of the files in your old Restore Points are also infected up to wipe out the 'old' and new is often a good idea if you wonder if the old Restore Points are infected or not.

Assuming that your XP is installed on drive C of your computer:

As you go through the reinstallation of the RS, the resettlement will be asked to locate certain files as you go along and ask your XP installation CD.   If you do not have a genuine XP bootable installation CD, you can change the path where Setup looks for files one at a time, because they are needed.  More on that later.

    Navigate to the following folder:

    c:\Windows\Inf

Locate and right-click the following file:

    SR.inf

    Choose Install

If you can not see the sr.inf file, set up your system to show hidden files and show file extensions.

Click on tools, Options, view and turn on "Show the hidden files and folders" and uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types", then you should be able to see the file c:\windows\inf\sr.inf.

Installation can request files from the c:\windows\inf\386 folder.  It would be your installation CD bootable XP genuine if you have one and the Service Pack installed on your system must be the same as the CD that you will use.

You don't need absolutely a CD to do the reinstall, because files must already be on your system somewhere if SR was working before.

If you are prompted for a file, and you can't find it where I suggest in my example below (it works on my system), you need to search your hard drive and find where the files on your system.

If the request to a file and you don't know where he is, let waiting for installation and click Start, search, and search for it
has requested the file and find it on your system.  If SR has already worked before, the file is already on your system somewhere.

Search finds the requested file, go back to the installation and specify the path where you found the file requested and click OK.  Installation can request several files along the way, but you can find them all.

Here's how my system works when I reinstall SR when I pretend that I don't have a genuine XP bootable installation CD:

    When you are asked:

    SR.sys

    Point the install in c:\windows\system32\drivers

    When you are asked:

    c:\windows\system32\srclient.dll

    Point install it in c:\windows\system32

    When you are asked:

    Filelist. XML

Point of installation at c:\windows\system32\restore (or c:\windows\ServicePackFiles\i386)

    When you are asked:

    srframe. MMF

    Point installation c:\windows\system32\dllcache (c:\windows\system32\restore)

Once installation is complete, you will receive a message that you must restart your computer.

Restart your computer and look at your schedule of SR.  You should have a new point system control in your calendar.

When you get SR working again, I ran MBAM and SAS to make sure that your system is reasonably clean of malware.

The day that you think you need to help the system restore you is not the day to discover the system restore does not work, then you need to test.

After the reinstallation, manually create a Restore Point and test the restoration process and make sure that you are convinced that it works from one end to the other.

Please provide additional information on your system:
What is your system brand and model?
What is your Version of XP and the Service Pack?
Describe your current antivirus and software anti malware situation: McAfee, Symantec, Norton, Spybot, AVG, Avira!, MSE, Panda, Trend Micro, CA, Defender, ZoneAlarm, PC Tools, Comodo, etc..
The afflicted system has a CD/DVD drive work?
You have a true bootable XP installation CD (it is not the same as any recovery CD provided with your system)?
It seems that your system has or has had a malware infection.
What is the issue that you are experiencing that you think that the system restore will be remedied (or you are just convenient)?  System Restore is not a time machine...
You should be able to get your system restore calendar works again quite easily, but who will not only relieve your system of malware.
Don't forget to fix the problem and the difficulty not only the symptom of the problem.
If you disabled the system restore and he turned his back, which removes all points existing restoration (this is how it is supposed to work).
I run a few scans of such malicious software indicated below, then work on all the remaining issues.
Sometimes malicious will afflict your system restore to prevent you to find and remove malware.  It would much rather you trick into thinking that you need to repair or reinstall your XP when it is not necessary.  System Restore is sometimes so afflicted, you need to reinstall the system restore (you don't have to reinstall XP - just reinstall the system restore).
No matter what you use for protection against malware, I do so and then only begin to solve any problems:
Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs can solve any problems:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
It can be uninstalled later if you wish.
Restart your system and resolve outstanding issues.
If your system restore calendar is always to show just a blank white screen, do the following:
The scans using own it may also be necessary to re-register some dll (or you can do this part first, but you still have to do the scans).
Re-record the dll is correct, even if they do not need re-registration.  You can also re-register the dll before the scans that can solve the problem, but the scans are always recommended.
Click Start, run, and in the box enter orders following one at a time.  Click the OK button to execute each command one at a time:
    regsvr32 jscript
    regsvr32 vbscript
    regsvr32 /i mshtml
The last order for mshtml load the DLL but can also contain a harmless warning depending on your environment.
Check your system restore calendar now.

Do, or do not. There is no test.

  • Defender of the window does not work.

I recently had the Vista antispyware 2012 the virus.  I was able to get rid of it, but now the Defender window does not work.  When I click on the icon I get a pop up msg: "failed to initialize: 0 x 80070006.» The handle is invalid. "How to operate?

  • No list of programs and launch the search does not work.

Last year a virus creeped into my system. After I couldnot find and delete I ran combofix that seems to help eliminate the virus. However, I have a lot of files and corrupted files in my system that I don't recognize. also, my search for the Start button does not work after this difficulty and "all programs" list has disappeared. I recently found that I have to do a system restore but my dates do not go too far before the virus. What should I do? I have a 32-bit windows vista system.

    Thank you.

The best way to get rid of the shinannigans on your computer is to reload windows itself with the multimedia installation/installation partition if you have one. If this is not the case, I suggest to download and run Microsoft Security Essentials http://www.microsoft.com/security/pc-security/mse.aspx this is a free anti-virus MS. Try creating a new account on your computer and connection in there to see if your search bar and list of program starts working again:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/create-a-user-account?SignedIn=1

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows-Vista/change-a-users-account-type

For these two make sure you click on my computer is on a workgroup for instructions and follow the steps in BOTH of the links

If they then delete your old account and just use the new using Microsoft Security Essentials.

    I hope this helps!

  • Windows Defender dialog box indicates it does not work.

    Problem with windows defender

I use windows vista, my problem is with windows defender, it does not work well, even, it does not start when I click on icon (icon is correctly linked) displaying a dialog box to turn on the Defender, but that does not work.     After that restart Defender opens in a seprate window but after a few minutes (1-2 min) it turns off automatically

Windows Defender cannot be used with AVG, McAfee, Microsoft Security Essentials (MSE) or Norton and several other similar programs.  It is part of the Vista and Win 7 operating system and cannot be uninstalled.  Maybe your antivirus program is disabled Windows Defender - and maybe it's exactly what it is supposed to do.

You may want to consider the following: Windows Defender and Microsoft Security Essentials

If you can not only your problem please post back and elaborate detailed about your computer, program antimalware, etc...

    Kind regards...

Comment: If push comes to shove, it is there is a hidden partition restore (not to be confused with the restoration of the system) you can use to do a clean install. Understand that if the hard drive does not work because of a hardware failure, a clean install will NOT repair.

  • Vista Search & indexing does not work

When I go to Control Panel/Indexing Options/Advanced/show Options all the locations of some files are to check, but the OS(c:) est grisée.) I had turned off at the same time & now cannot get it turned back on.

    How to make this work?

    Why indexing taking so long?

Why can't stop indexing or turn it off for awhile (it interferes with other programs sometimes)?

Why seek complex with a bunch of drop downs and it usually does not even get just a subfolder. I searched (using the F command) 3 letters in a title only and got a response from an area not indexed that contains NONE of the letters, and it took several minutes. @!

Some MS answers say to use the troubleshooting Index feature, but it doesn't seem to be indexing window.

    Hello

These two showed more problems of search for Windows 7, however, they also seem to be
able to affect Vista as well.

    1. one thing that seems to have an impact on several is the bit REACH has been set on some files
Index cannot be set and search for cannot be found. So the ATTRIB-a *. * bps, which means archive
is REMOVED for the files in the folder/directory Parent (top) and those in all the subfolders/sup-
    directories.

    http://www.SevenForums.com/tutorials/63741-read-only-file-folder-attribute.html

    ------------

2 another problem seems to be McAfee and some other antivirus programs are interfering with the
Index or search functions. McAfee, must be uninstalled using the uninstall routine in
Windows AND the removal of McAfee too of course no remains are left. (Possibly other antivirus
programs are also what causes this error.) Of course, you want to move to another antivirus
