MSE or Trend Micro

My laptop is running windows vista home SP2 and I have MSE and Trend Micro installed. It is really slow and freezes when I do things like burn my pictures on cd. Sometimes, I have to take the battery out to turn it off. I also ran called DriverCure which says I 13 extension errors but I have not paid the 29.95 yet, so I do not have those fixed. What should I do and what antivirus should I take off.

I always liked Trend Micro, which is what I used in my business.  It is easy on system resources, and it does a good job to keep the virus away.  I run MSE on my home machine, and it seems to be very good as well.  Whatever it is, you must uninstall one of them as soon as POSSIBLE because two full-time virus scanners running on a computer is just a matter of trouble.

  • Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security won't install on Windows 7

I bought a three user anti-virus (Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security) that will not install on Windows 7.  When I insert the CD it reads and seems to do something in the background, but there are has no windows that pop - up.  Also when I look in the Task Manager, I find no trend activity there.

The version is a version licensed for 12 months I purchased with a new PC.  He said only Trend Micro Titanium Internet Security on the cover.

If you have any other scanners 'real-time' installed (including MSE) it may be useful to backup your PC (so in the worst case you can go to at the moment), update scanners already have installed and then run a full scan with them to check the malware.

Then completely uninstall, restart the PC and then see if the trend settled.

See - http://support.antivirus.co.uk/trendmicro/kbresolution.jsp?hmid=52385&serviceId=31&applicationId=196 which States " ""with more security software or their components installed on your computer can cause performance problems. The programs in this conflict peut with your program of Trend Micro Titanium, are listed. "You must remove these of security software before installing Titanium: '

I didn't trend and have never tested, so I can't say with certainty that their list of possibly conflicting software is preventing you installation trend, but it shouldn't take too long to remove all other scanners time real AV/Malware in article of trend and see. If the worst comes to the worst, you can always reinstall.

You must have an AV program installed and running on a PC. On-Demand Scanner like free Malwarebytes Anti-Malware is OK as backup on demand scanners. (if you install this edition special anti malware utility, keep free, no need to start testing etc UNLESS you wish to purchase additional features the paid for version does not provide).

Empty this software... get to Win8 after MSE for Windows 7 and earlier or defender. It of free and is also good as the software you pay 29.00/year for wanting and updates are free of charge since you already own Windows.

  • I have Trend Micro antivirus for Windows 7, but I'm told it's not compatible with Mozilla 9.1, how to get an older version or to adapt?

I use a computer laptop, just reinstalled everything and now have Firefox 9.1 and tells me that is not compatible with my antivirus, Trend Micro Titanium. I am running Windows 7.

This situation should not come up again with future versions of Firefox. From Firefox 10.0 (to be released Jan 31 Mar) modules will be assumed to be compatible with the new version of Firefox and they will be not disabled, as in the past. Well sure, if an add-on does not work correctly or totally screws to the top of Firefox, it is up to the user to sort only the cottages, with a little help from those of us who provide Firefox support.

  • The latest update of firefox is not compatible with trend micro security and people with disabilities, it's when I clicked on install. How to bring back my trend micro?

I downloaded a firefox security update. When I clicked on install (or apply), I was told it disabled my security from trend micro, and there is no version compatible with trend micro. He told me they keep control and let me know what is available. NOT GOOD. I paid a lot of money for my trend micro and want it to be functional. Help! I didn't click on finish. Does that mean the upgrade is not installed and that trend micro still works?

I seem to have fixed that by going to the site of Trend Micro and upgrade to the latest version of Trend Micro Titanium 2012 V5.0. It uninstalled the previous version on my computer and then install the latest version. Trend Micro is working now and I can browse with Firefox. The upgrade was free.

  • Trend Micro Web Protection add-on works with Firefox 5?

the screen changes just to ask a question of negotiation took me by 9 screen changes already! Why the "screen tests"? I'm not trying to get a role in a movie. Simply, when I checked 'help', 'forum' and now you are invited to ask this question as a 'new' issue well that I saw in the forums 450 or if users have complained that their FF4 was not compatible to the latest version of 3 has. Without taking 6 hours of research 25 more screen changes: simply does anyone know if this will crash/blocking/send error pages or damage our PC for FF5 and security TM set this module? Thank you for your consideration of my question, and I apologize if my fonts appear on your side and are unpleasant. I need it for my visual impairment

NOTE: Firefox 4 and 5 are in the past. Firefox 6 is the current version. From Firefox 5, the previous version is "abandoned" and you receive more security or stability updates. Updates to security and stability are included in the new version following.

In regards to the screens, System/forum/knowlegebase Firefox help developers try to make the system as user-friendly as possible, and work is an ongoing process. You are presented with possible messages that correspond to your question so that a few volunteers here are not excessively overloaded with questions that have previously been asked and answered. The screens of "Ask a new Question" were intended to collect the appropriate information that unpaid volunteers here should help you find a solution.

    Now, to your question.

Product developers to install the toolbars in Firefox with what will work to determine the versions of Firefox are toolbars.

    • In general, only the toolbar is disabled in a new version of Firefox and the underlying application continues to function properly. You can post your questions / concerns on the forum of Trend Micro below of the details directly from the source (the developer).
    • Firefox version information are coded in the toolbars that they develop and only the developer can modify these compatibility information when they have completed their tests.

That said, all third-party developers know how/where to find the Firefox releases calendar and how/where to find the (Beta) versions of Firefox to use in tests of their products for the coming versions. The beta test will last several weeks, but it is the responsibility of developers to deal with changes in Firefox. Mozilla (Firefox) has made a concerted effort to encourage third-party developers, especially those who produce products of security (firewall and AV/AS), update their products before the new version of Firefox. A couple of vendors of security products were prepared on 16/08/2011 when Firefox 6 is out. Many are still working on their updates and do not seem to be concerned about the happiness/unhappiness or safety of paying or not paying (free version) customers.

I personally would say, no you don't need one.

When I open the Add-ons screen, I get a message that Trend Micro NSC Firefox extension is incompatible with Firefox 4 faded. Below this is another dimmed message that the Trend micro toolbar is incompatible with Firefox 4.
These messages mean that I do not get the protection of Trend Micro, or I have just can't open Trend Micro in Firefox 4?
I use Trend Micro for a long time, and I really like it.

See Trend Micro for an updated version of their Firefox extension.

  • Firefox has issues with trend micro compatablility

When I downloaded Firefox 4 he told me she had some compatibility problems with some parts of Trend Micro. Trend Micro has been my security of choice for the past six years and I'm not change because she saw perform very well. There is apparently no patches for the two issues being a toolbar, and I do not remember the other. I would like to know if these two problems affect my safety.

Check the availability of an update for Firefox 4.0 with Trend Micro. If they are installing extensions in Firefox, it is for them to keep these compatible extensions Mozilla publishes new versions of Firefox. Really, you should postpone the upgrade to a new version of Firefox until you check with Trend Micro on this situation.
