    I was not able to download yahoo messenger on my computer since that was handed to the manafacture settings. I get a message that says w/installation - custom .exe (1) the orginal 266 could not be located in the dynamic link library msi.dll.     This could be because the Windows Installer files are corrupted registration which should solve the problem.

    To unregister and re-register Windows Installer:

    1. in the menu 'Start', click 'run '.
    2. type msiexec /unreg and then press ENTER. This cancels the registration of Windows Installer.
    3. in the menu 'Start', click 'run '.
    4. in the "Open" box, type msiexec/regserver, and then press ENTER.

    Once finished, try to download the messengers listed in your post. See if you are able to get through with the download and installation.

  • files missing msi.dll in win xp sp3

    When I start my system, a panel appears 'status' and tries to install a file called status.msi.exe or dll, sometimes one or two, and it asks for the location of the file that does not exist. then I asked the system disk, which does not exist because the version installed is version preloaded to xp sp3 prop. so I in oreder for the system to continue to use the Task Manager to end the try to install this file. I used the auditor of the filesystem for the attempt to locate this file but it conplète canoe as it also asks that the disc windows xp sp2 instalation so. is there a way to replace this file from another source that will fix this problem?

    If this is not enough, you may need to perform a repair installation, you need a CD.

    Hi, I was trying to update and receive this error code.  When I follow the steps and you try to start BITS it will not start.  I get a message that says: "the Background Intelligent Transfer Service service on Local computer started and then stopped.  Some services stop automatically if they are not in use by other services or programs. »
    I tried the troubleshooter for this and had no luck either. I am running windows vist and have tried

    Thank you for the Microsoft Answers uisng forum.  I suggest that you check your system for corrupted files.  You use the tool (SFC.exe) System File Checker to check and repair corrupt system files.  To do this, follow these steps:

    1. open an elevated command prompt. To do this, clickStart, click principally made programs, accessories, right-click Guest, and then click Run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

    2. type the following command and press ENTER:

    sfc/scannow

    The sfc/scannow command. analyzes all protected system files and replaces incorrect versions with appropriate Microsoft versions.

  • update has no 643 unknown error code

    Several updates failed, namedly Microsoft.NET Framework 4 client profile for windows 7 x 64 systems and updating security for Office 2007.  Also, I was able to upgrade to the latest version of itunes so I put my windows installer to manual start, but I get the message that the installation of Microsoft Service could not access. This can occur if you are running Windows in safe mode or if Windows Installer is not installed properly. Need help please, I can not use my new Iphone 4 completely.

    To reinstall Windows Installer, rename the damaged Windows Installer files, and then reinstall the Windows Installer. To do this, follow these steps:

    I am running Vista home Premium 64-bit and I WindowsUpdate_80070424 error when you try to update. I have forums and tried all of the fixes suggested short of a re - install. I found that the patches seem to only for 32-bit systems and 64 bit systems continue to have the same problem.

    Y at - it a fix for the version 64-bit, or am I am I don't have a chance?

  • my account is taken hostage can not enter in more & used for fraud by the pirate air

    my account is taken hostage, & can only be entered more & used for fraud by the hijacker of air (in the past, I got an email from the logo of window live informing that the system has been upgraded and need my personal data for example, password information, etc., and would shut down if I didn't answer it).

    FYI, I've had a few matches with 'microsoft customer support' since yesterday and they suggested I go to the link of windows live to help, but I can't access the link to windowl live help (there always return to the same page over and over again). This is the page which I can't go further than that.

     
    Please help urgently to be able to click on the relevant link stop the hijacker using my old account for fraud.

  • Problems with the update of IE8: "WindowsUpdate_0000000E" "WindowsUpdate_dt000"

    I had problems with Internet Explorer for a few months after an automatic update has been applied, and we lost power during the process.  I am now unable to use IE, just process dies immediately.  An update of the system is applied by the process of automatic update every time it tells me that it cannot update / day i.e., because a more recent version is already installed, as well as the error codes:

    "WindowsUpdate_0000000E" "WindowsUpdate_dt000"

    I was trying to roll back the PATCH or SP which was originally updated, but the Windows updates are not labeled as IE updates to Vista so have no idea which one it was (as I said it was a while ago).  I'm an avid user of FF but not having only not IE is annoying and constant updating errors are a pain.

    a. do you get this error message during the download or installation of updates?
    b. what service pack is installed on our computer?
    c. give any KB number in particular?

    You need to uninstall Internet Explorer 8 in Windows Vista using the cleaning tool.

    1. remove Internet Explorer using windows Cleanup utility.
    After the installation of the Windows Cleanup utility, open Windows Clean Up Utility:
    1. Select Powerdesk that was installed by the Windows Installer in the Windows Installer CleanUp dialog box.
    2. to do this, select the programs you want in the list of products installed in the Windows Installer CleanUp dialog box.
    3. After you make this selection, the utility removes only Windows Installer configuration information related to these programs.

  • I had an older version of the Advisor windows 7 on my computer.

    I want to run the Advisor and when I started a window pops up indicating an update for advise I say ok and now it will not work.  I downloaded several times same problem here is the error message. The Windows Installer Service could not be accessed.  This can occur if the Windows Installer and is not properly installed.  Contact your support team.  Help

  • Error: 80070426-Windows Update may not install as Cryptographic Services does not start.

    Hello!

    As you can guess Windows Update is not installed for a few months. Cryptographic services does not start . CPP is the beginning.

    Error: 80070426

    Already tried a few suggestions MSKB.

    Method 2: Set Cryptographic Services to automatic, network logon. Result: Error (unsigned) 1083
    Method 3: Rename the Catroot2 folder
    Reregister DLL files that are associated with Cryptographic Services.
    However, suite couldn ' t be installed.

    regsvr32 gpkcsp.dll

    regsvr32 sccbase.dll
    regsvr32 slbcsp.dll

    DCOM service - access denied when running.

    sfc/scannow couldn't fix some corrupted files.

    Computer HP laptop came with Vista pre-installed, so I do not have the repair disk.

    No doubt the system restore won't help, as I remember recently that c-Cleaner wiped the old restore points.

    NOD32 Antivirus + Spyware Doctor still running. Already run MSRT and Super Spyware, but nothing much.

    Finally, I worked it out myself. But it's painful to watch than virtually any other that Uday has responded to my problem. Something I've been waiting for so eagerly.

    I applied my common sense and defragmented the dirives then sfc/scannow, and it worked. Cryptographic Services said when I began to log in as network account. So my problem is solved. Now, windows update works fine.

    Interestingly, Microsoft Fix it, says it cannot start the Cryptographic Services. Are God, while the _____ you supposed to difficulty? It made Internet Explorer icon on my desktop and other places.

    * After the execution of commands, try to perform a Windows Update, if you are still having the same problem, then:
