  • Cannot install audio maxx using Vista 64 bit on Qosmio F50

    Hello

I just did a clean install of Vista x 64 and installed the audio drivers Realtek from Toshiba.
The problem is that the Maxx-audio plugins do not appear in the Realtek Control Panel and do not work, even though I see a MaxxAudioAPO20.dll in the System32 folder.

    Any ideas?

    Thank you.

    Hey Buddy,

For me it looks like there is something wrong with the order of installation as well as drivers have you already installed? Normally the driver chipset and Windows updates must be installed first and then the audio driver. All you can download on the European driver of Toshiba download page.

I used the following installation order:
    -Windows Vista 64-bit
    -Service Pack 2 for Vista
    -Chipset driver
    -Display driver
    -Sound driver
    Driver LAN-
    -WLAN driver
    -etc.

  • Installation of Vista 64 bit on the Satellite P500/025

I just bought a P500/025 and should have chosen installation 64 bit but installed 32-bit instead.
Could someone please give me instructions on how to install vista 64-bit on Vista 32 bit?

I will lose everything I have installed on my current installation of 32-bit?
    Thanks in advance.

Before starting the discussion on the installation of Vista 64-bit, visit the Toshiba download page and check if this laptop is 64 bit supported and if you can find all drivers 64-bit.
I assume you have an Australian model of laptop. Do you have?

I have Windows Update error 646 when trying to install KB981432 and KB980469 in my Vista 64 bit operating system computer.  This is the first time I've ever had a problem installing Windows updates.  Can you please help?

Subsequently, in a Microsoft forum, I followed the directions to add the registry information in the book below (I copied & pasted the below for Notebook, "recorded under" register.bat on my desktop, then right click on it on my desk & "run as Administrator" and then tried to install, but it did not work):

    Hi Rocketron,

Sometimes patches seem to just have a hard time to proceed with the installation.  I have a fw for to look you at other things.  First of all, your Background Intelligent Transfer Services set to Automaticand started and Windows Update ? You can check these settings by typing services.msc in the search box of the start menu.

Sometimes in order to get patches to install correctly, you must perform these tasks manually.

    (1) Download Center to visit Microsoft: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx.
    (2) search for each update code that begins with the letters "KB" and followed by a set of numbers (i.e. KB979309).
    3) click on the link for the download and then click on download and run.  You must accept the agreement and then click on continue.
    (4) repeat this process for each download of updates Windows could not install.
    (5) to rerun the update from Microsoft, click find updates.  If all goes well, it will show that you are completely patched.

If this does not work, try to run the Microsoft OneCare safety scanner.  Sometimes it will solve problems of hidden registry, or erase viruses can prevent the installation of patches: http://onecare.live.com/site/en-us/center/whatsnew.htm. Click full service scan, and then Quick scan (full scan takes a long time to complete). Try the patches.

    Good luck

  • Error WindowsUpdate_80070424 on vista 64-bit

    Hey,.

I have problems all many from the WindowsUpdate_80070424 error.  I'm running vista 64-bit home premium SP1.  I can't upgrade to SP2, update windows install, install visual c ++ 2008, install video games because of this error.

    Things, I've tried and failed:
    * regedit Checking Bits - they're already active and functional
    * updated windows regedit - started and work in automatic mode
    * Go to start / all programs / accessories. Right-click on the element "Command Prompt" and click on the "Run as Administrator" option.

In the command prompt window, paste the following command.

    REGSVR32% SYSTEMROOT%\SYSTEM32\WUAUENG. DLL

    Press ENTER.

You should see a popup that says that the command succeeded.

Exit command prompt and try Windows Update again.

    * various other attempts

The fact is that none of them work with vista 64-bit.

Then I opened the windowsupdate log and attached section which seems relevant.

Thanks for any help that can be given.

    1. This isn't the answer. As I said Modules Windows Installer, you can set as well. Besides a few months I posted solution for TrustedInstaller too in this popular topic:http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en/itprovistasecurity/thread/edfa02fc-8d5b-4f53-b04d-ca966d2355e7

    But...

-probably it is post 100 in this content and probably nobody would read and moderators are too lazy to read & check all proposals for solutions

2 Repair Installation should fix this error too - the best way if you don't know how to solve this problem that everyone order computer format
You can also try the system restore (perhaps that someone has the correct control point)

Sorry, Flavius, but your solution for systems where the Windows Modules Installer service are missing will only help those who have a Vista DVD .

Most OEM does not include one with their systems, only the ability to write a rescue or Recovery DVD , NOT a DVD of the operating system .
Most users will never understand how to extract a copy of WindowsInstaller.exe.

And more English speaking users will have no idea how to follow your steps as it is fractured English , to put it kindly.

That's why they need to contact the Support MS as support will send instructions, a copy of TrustedInstaller, a file of registry for Vista X 64 and the steps to follow to set the permissions correctly to replace TrustedInstaller.exe.

Thus, in order , here are the steps to resolve the error IF the installer of Modules of Windows is listed in the Services console:

    (1) registry c:\windows\system32\wuaueng.dll from a command prompt
    (2) run sfc/scannow from a command prompt

IF the installer of Modules of Windows isn't in the Service console:

    (3) contact MS Support if 1 and 2 fail
    (4) do an upgrade on the spot, better known to a repair facility, which will require to install all previously installed updates and/or the application of the last Service Pack which has been applied, which includes all of the updates issued before the Service Pack was released.

  • WINDOWS VISTA 32-BIT UPDATES

CAN SOMEONE HELP ME GET UPDATES FOR WINDOWS VISTA 32 BIT?   I AM NOT GETTING THE ERROR CODES, JUST CONTINUES ON THE LEFT SEARCH BAR RIGHT AND DOES NOTHING. NOTHING IS FOUND TO DOWNLOAD. I'VE NEVER HAD THIS PROBLEM.

    Hi BluesBlaster:

If your initial "check for updates..." Windows Update crashes during long periods without raising an error, this is a widespread problem currently affecting many users of Vista SP2.

Some users find that "check for updates..." will be finally run full if you let run for several hours, but there is also a workaround solution posted on the page Web of Dalai to http://wu.krelay.de/en/ that accelerates the Windows Update for the affected users. Of workaround requires users to pre-install the kernel-mode Windows updates (Win32K.sys) driver listed on this Web page, if one is missing from your system before running Windows Update.  I used Dalai for the latest Patch workaround three Tuesdays (the second Tuesday of each month) and has reduced my search for 'check for updates...' updates available for 6 or 7 hours up to approx. 25 min.

Step-by-step instructions posted on 16 June 2016 wire m #l's updates does not, it was the search for updates to the hours are based on workaround of Dalai and will guide you through the installation process of packages update stand-alone (.msu files) for your updates Win32K.sys missing.

As of today (11-Sep-2016) the current list of updates Win32K.sys on the page Web of Dalai is: KB3078601 (rel. 18 August 2015); KB3109094 (rel. 7 December 2015); KB3145739 (rel. 12 April 2016); KB3164033 (rel. June 14, 2016); KB3168965 (rel. July 12, 2016); KB3177725 (rel. 9 August 2016). Just install the updates that are not in your system, so if you have been fully patched at the end of July 2016 you must have to install manually the last KB3177725 (MS16-098: a security update for the Windows Kernel-Mode drivers: 9 August 2016) before you run Windows Update to install your remaining August 2016 Patch Tuesday updates.  List of Dalai will probably be revised tonight next Tuesday when the September 2016 Patch Tuesday updates (and a new version of Win32K.sys) are released on 13-Sep-2016, then you might want to wait a few days to try this workaround.

Dalai has posted general information at http://wu.krelay.de/en/info.htm which explains why the Windows Update Agent (WUA) is currently suspended during the "checking for updates..." Windows Update.  The current v7.6.7600.256 Vista, C:\Windows\system32\wuaueng.dll WUA has not been updated by Microsoft since June 2012.

  • Update of Vista 32 bit does not work after replacing the hard drive

A month ago the hard drive of my computer (ACER Aspire 6920) had to be replaced. The disk image hard precedent (which includes the c: with Windows Vista Home Premium 32 bit, SP 2 build 6002) has been mirrored to the new hard drive. Everything seemed to work fine until I noticed that I don't have more updates from Microsoft. I tried a manual update and got the message that the update service was not working and I have to restart the computer. However, the Task Manager showed that the update service has been executed. Of course, I rebooted the computer, but nothing has changed.

I found a whole bunch of recommendations for this issue in this forum, but nothing seems to work:

    • The Microsoft FixIT tool indicates a problem with the update of components, and then said that the problem had been solved successfully. However, the problem is still there and rerun the FixIt tool Gets the same message on a problem (yet) found and fixed.
    • I also stopped the update service, delete all content in Windows/C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution and restarted the service. without success.
    • I've temporarily disabled my security suite (Eset Smart Security 6) and tried the update. I also have fittings the folder C:\Windows\SoftwareDistribution to the scope of the antivirus, without success. On the old hard drive, I used a different security suite so I thought that maybe the ESET (that I installed everything recently) could be the cause of the problem, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
    • I also followed the instructions provided by Microsoft at http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058, but again, no change at all. However, it should be noted that registering some DLLs that Microsoft listed does not work (message that the DLL is not found or some server entry point (my translation, I'm using the German UI and don't know English good term; sorry) could not be found.)

Http://support.microsoft.com/kb/947821 , I found another tool that supposedly can solve some problems of updating; I downloaded the version for Vista 32-bit, but it cannot install it on my computer (error code = 0xc8000247 during installation).

So I'm really lost now what else to do. I would appreciate any suggestions. Please note that I am not technically very warned :)

    ARG, apologies.

Was not aware that they had dropped support for Vista... (I myself have 'graduated' Vista earlier)

The fact that you have not already installed TSRI is exactly your problem.

Recent hard drives using 'Sectors 4 K', also known as 'Advanced Format Technology'.

If the installed hard disk driver currently is not compatible with this specification,

It will result in oddities like the status of the service Windows Update is not recognized correctly.

Installation TSRI will fix this in most cases.

Alternatively, if you are using Vista SP1 or later version (or 7 SP1), you can use the real driver.

Since you are already updated to SP2, we will see if it is a viable solution.

Go to: start-> Control Panel-> programs-> programs and features

In the list of installed programs, locate and remove if found.

    -Intel Matrix Storage Manager

    -Intel Turbo Memory

This should force your computer to go back to the real driver provided by Vista.

Vista and Windows 7 updated drivers love then here's how update the most important.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system. For
each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver, description,.
version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - Device Manager - Display Adapter - note the brand and complete model of your
video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now click on UPdate Driver (this
cannot do anything as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then do a right click - Uninstall - REBOOT
This will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party with their
own the software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now go to the site of the manufacturer of system (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) (restoration) and then of the manufacturer of the device
(Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for the BIOS, Chipset and software)
updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - tab drivers version you install actually shows up. This
because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (particularly that audio drivers) so install a
pilot - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat if necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW on device at the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER - manually check by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

How to install a device driver in Vista Device Manager
    http://www.Vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-Device-Manager-install-driver.html

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver in the Windows updates,
This leaves ONE of Windows updates, but it will not install the drivers who are generally older and cause
questions. If updates offers a new driver and then hide it (right click on it) and then go look for new ones
    manually if you wish.

  • Problems in porting windows vista 32 bit on a 64-bit Windows 7 machine device driver

    Hello

I'm porting windows vista 32-bit on windows 7 64 bit machine printer driver. I have compiled DLLs. When I add printer and load INF file, I get the message that this driver is not compatible x 64 driver. Please tell me what adjustments should I do in the INF file.

    Thank you.

Go to the printer manufacturer's website and download the right driver (free) for your operating system. You should also disable automatic windows update - Start, made driver installation computer right click go to the settings/settings/device installation properties / Advanced - value - not let me choose/never install updated win - save changes, remove previous attempts also to devices and printers, have the printer on but do not connect the usb cable until you are prompted - install driver downloaded.

If there is no 64-bit Windows 7 drivers don't try the 64 bit Vista driver, if it does not work then you will need a new printer.

  • Windows Vista 64 bit does not install last version of iTunes

I just updated my iPhone, the recent phone must have the latest version of iTunes installed, I currently have 12.3 but I'm unable to download the latest version, I have Windows Vista 64-bit on my desktop, can anyone help?

I don't think that Vista will support the latest version of iTunes, which is necessary for the latest version of iOS. I will check something quick and get back to you. What iPhone do you have? What happens when you try to download the latest version?

  • Vista 64-bit and D7360

My Vista 64 bit laptop computer connects to my LAN via a wireless router.  My printer is connected to the USB port on my router.  My computer laptop 32 bit Vista print on my printer as expected.  My new laptop 64 bit will not print.  It goes into the print queue and just stays there.  If I connect my portable 64-bit on my printer via a USB cable, it will print.  What it will take to print when connected wireless to my local network?

Did you mean that the machine is connected to the router via USB? What kind of router is it and a USB device on the router is treated like a network or USB device?

I guess that it is treated as a network device. Installation of D7360 asks if the unit is placed on local (USB) or network, if the USB was chosen first, the SAME connection through network does not work. You need to reinstall the driver (or if you know pilots, you mangle via the reguistry). By the fact that you can print via direct USB, I think the easy way is to uninstall the driver (not just delete the printer) and install it again as a network device.
