  I need to improve the performance of my code in multi record acquisition on the following system.

  LabVIEW 2009, Niscope 3.5.2 map 5122 digitizer on the PXI-1042 with PXI-8106 controller connected to the host PC Dell Optiplex 380 with 4 GB of RAM by crossover cable.

  I tested the speed of transfer of my connection to the chassis using the niScope memory transfer Rate.vi Maximum flow, the result was 110,74 MB/s.

  I need to use the scanner to get the waveform of different seismic sensors and it should be as fast as possible to get different transducers in a reasonable time. I used the Multi files get VI to monitor the rate at which the code executes. I want to acquire 30 signals with 10,000 record length to 100 MECH sampling rate. / s.

  Extraction of 30 records with 10 000 record length takes about 300 ms, that is far too long for my experience. I tried different numbers Records and found that the code takes 10 milliseconds per registration type. I've found that extraction vi takes most of the time. I ran my code both recording Multi search vi. Two sleeves at the rate which is not satisfactory for my application. I appreciate if someone can help me solve the problem.

  I found that on the pulse generator FRP was set at 100 Hz, which means it sends the impulse evey 1/100 sec or each 10 m I think the program was waiting to acquire the signal. I changed the FRP at 1 K Hz, it became much more quickly.

• 5152. multiple record acquisition forever

  Is it possible to do a multiple record acquisition on the 5152, which itself will be automatically retrigger forever?

  I have currently a multiple record acquisition implemented to acquire 256 records, but the external triggers (using the TRIG BNC of input) are so close together that the software cannot rearm the coverage in time for the next acquisition, and some triggers are missed.

  For example, we are capture 8000 samples to 2 MS/s, if every record is 4 ms in duration. The external trigger occurs at the beginning of all of the records, with a period of 4 ms, so I essentially continuous. Each 256 files (about once per second), the LabVIEW VI transfers data in memory, he wrote on the disk, it displays on the front panel, etc, then re - the scope for the next acquisition of weapons. It would be ideal that the scope can be configured for the immediate release of an another multiple record acquisition (preferably in hardware), so that it could acquire in parallel with LabVIEW treatment files and write data to the disk.

  There is no way to make a Multi-Multi Record Acquisition.

  What you want to do, the short answer is Yes - there is a way to introduce within the finished construction of the API OR-SCOPE, but you should make sure that

  1. you must enable more Records than available memory

  2. you must set the number of records in very huge.  Since this value is an Int32, theoretically, the more important you can set avalue of about 2.15 billion (2 ^ 31-1).   After that, you must stop and restart your acquisition.

  The total time that the acquisition will continue for is:

  = Total number of records [#] acquisition [s] Total time / Trigger rate [Hz]

  3. Finally, you should make sure that you can endure the flow in your PXI/PCI bus, and you have designed your code effectively to support this.

  Two important things I noticed is that you decide to display data on a chart, and you write on a disc.  View data in a graph will lead your program last much longer the complete loop iteration - instead, try rΘcupΦre without display data.  Secondly - if you write to a disc, you must use queuesto do.

  If you already do this, then the question of highest level, it's whether or not you are supplying data on your digitizer.  If so, you must work around this problem so that there is no backlog of data.  The extraction flow (data transferred in your program using the Fetch function) must be equal to your Flow of Acquisition:

  Acquisition flow [B/s]

  = Number of samples per registration type [Sa/REC/WAV] * rate [Hz] * resolution digitizer [bytes / his]

  (Since the 5152 is a 8-bit digitizer, the resolution of your digitizer is 1 b/sample).

  If you can compare your speed of recoveryand who then subtract the acquisition flowcalculation, then you should see a number (in B/s) which reflects the speed at which you are supplying data.  For an acquisition to keep forever, this number must be virtually zero.

  The short answer is that the acquisition stops.

  The behavior of the driver NOR-SCOPE is defined and described by the following of Acquisition Envine diagram States-transitions.  This documentation can be found in the help file under the heading devices > state diagrams.  It is also documented online here: http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/370592W-01/digitizers/5122_state_model/

  

  In general, an acquisition ends when all configured samples were acquired.  By default, there is only one folder, then when all the samples in the record is acquired, the acquisition to the 'Full record' State transistions, then to the State 'Done '.  In a multi-record acquisition setting, the unit will continue to acquire data until all records have been acquired.  Once there is no more registration acqure (she has acquired every 50), it will then be transiition as 'Done '.

  Note that the Green States that are the only countries in which the data is written in the on-board memory, when an acquisition is completed, no additional data is written to on-board memory, so no chance for the data to be overwritten.

  I hope this helps answer your question.  I strongly recommend you and any study of customer digitizer/oscilloscope, as this picture of the State, like most of the questions about the behavior of the device (acquisition, trigger, timouts, etc.) can be answered in it.

  If you can't find the number that I myself could not because I got this Macbook from my college for my future course you should give AppleCare a call as once again, I myself did. They were able to confirm the serial number on my Macbook, take my personal information, register for my Macbook, and now I'm good to go!   I did some testing and I can tell you about my experience on Qosmio G20.

  1. as far as I know early versions of Qosmioplayer did not have the registration option but now I hope that your preinstalled version has REC option. If so, please be sure that you have about 5 GB of free space for the recorded material.

  It is not important what signal is sent to your Qosmio (TV or VCR VHS-connected) you can find it if you look at the channels. With REC option, you can save what you want. I tested it with my VCR VHS and I recorded some old movies. This material was recorder und great quality was the same as on cassettes. After recording, I started Windows MCE and transferred the material recorded in Windows using Qosmio player utility.

  I have not tried, but I put t think you will be able to record audio using only Qosmioplayer.
  2. you can record movies VHS if you connect your VCR VHS on the Qosmio using the antenna cable. Launch Media center Edition (TV option) and scan channels. In my case, I could watch movies VHS on MCE on channel 31. Using REC option you can save all documents of video cassettes. Later, you can change the recorded material and create own DVDs. It really isn't a problem.

  Your audio Home Audio recording can be a bit more problematic, and if you want it to be on the professional path you will need a device external and of course some professional recording software.
  3. I don't know what to write here. Just try to do what I already descriebed under 1 and 2.

• Multi-channel acquisition - simultaneous Acquisition of sampling 1 & 2-channel single sample in a task

  I am able to get a multichannel simultaneous sampling on my acquisition of data (USB-6363) without problem. But what I want to do is make multi-channel acquisition in a single task where sampling requirements are different for each channel. For example, I want I want to acquire a total of 1000 samples on 3 channels in a single task with DAQmx as follows the characteristics of sample:

  • AI0: Analog Wfm 1Chan NSamp (998 samples)
  • AI1 + ai2: 1 d analog NChan DBL 1Samp (1 + 1 sample/channel)

  I know I could do just a regular multiple sampling multi-channel acquisition through all three channels then average down from channels 1 + 2, but I don't have that several samples to spare. AI0 is a bandwidth hog in my application and consumes all the samples of data acquisition (2. MECH / s), but I can save a few samples to make analog measurements further (for example, temperature, pressure).

  Ai0 takes place also permanently so additional analog measures on ai1 + ai2 need to be included in the same task.

  I don't know how to go on this matter or if it is still possible. Any ideas or thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

  Currently I use a second DAQ to read these additional channels at a lower rate but I need to pass a single data acquisition.

  How should continuous ai0 really be?  You of course can enjoy on ai0, and one of the other entries at the same time, then there would be some gap in your data.  In addition, if you want to go to the full 2 MHz, you may sample ai1 ai2 twice in order to allow entry to set (the maximum specified multi-channel rate is only 1 MHz due to compaction of the constraints on the MUX I believe).

  DAQmx sort of you lets set something up like that, if you "cheat" it by configuring each sample as a single channel in your task (see an example similar here).  If your 998 + 1 + 1 (or 996 + 2 + 2) becomes a task of channel 1000 (takes a bit more memory, but should still be feasible).

  I would consider a 2nd DAQ card a better option if ai0 really needs to be continuous.  You can go with a (9174 or 9178) cDAQ chassis a 9223 (only 1 MHz if) for quick entry and your choice of module for the slower entries.  On the cDAQ chassis a module can run a separate task of AI from other modules (up to 3 tasks HAVE by chassis) at different speeds.

  I recently bought a bluetooth dongle for my pc and I have been using a datel bluetooth headset as a microphone, the microphone was works well but I disconnected and then reconnected it and the green bar in the recording tab is now completely at the top, if I record something and I look back all I can hear is severe noise. I don't see how the material could have suffered that I has not yet remove my head in time between disconnection and reconnection there. Any help would be appreciated.
