Multimedia players

Everyone I talk to media players universally despise Windows Media Player. Suggestions for other programs. I need something that is easy and intuitive to my new Fuze 8 gig. I'm new to all this and any help would be appreciated

There are two large, free, media players for Windows out there that many people like. The first is WinAMP, which is the most popular third-party media player for Windows. It does not work with the "rocket", but IMO, the interface is a bit clunky when it comes to add things to the player it is still a really nice music player, however.

The second is MediaMonkey, which got a reputation as the ultimate ID3 Tag editor (you can actually add artwork to your songs here) and a beautiful player. Version 3 is now. There is a Gold Version paying, but free one has everything you need.

    Hello

I have a Toshiba Satellite L750D and running Windows 7. When I play a video file (any format) windows media player opens and begins to play, but I hear, no image is a black screen. I tried 2 other media players (VLC and Power DVD) and the same thing happens.

    Hello, Julie

    Which is really strange.
Have you noticed the same problem that play original DVD movies?

Use VLC Player for years and I never noticed anything like that.

One last thing: do you use the original pre-installed OS that you got with your laptop? Want to watch video files on laptop screen s or on external device such as a TV or external monitor?

  • Drag and drop files from back-end software.

    Hi all

We use all multimedia players like windows media player or VLC player or even in some other software.

When the software is running and if drag us a d behind software file, and then it came out in the software then it should be handled by software such as play or reading.

How can I view it? I tried some converters and using windows live movie maker. Help, please!

. WLMP is a project file and cannot be used in Windows Live Movie Maker.  If you want to convert a video file use the open project option on the menu drop-down (top-left) of Windows Live Movie Maker then save it as a movie to convert it to a video such as file. WMV.

You can then use. WMV in many multimedia players or convert to another video format.

If the above does not work for you, please explain in more detail what goes wrong, giving error messages in its entirety.

  • Why isn't Windows Media Player DVD more play?

I played DVD on my Windows XP Home edition before, he always played them very well, but then suddenly it stopped reading DVDs, everytime I put a DVD in (from the same DVD I used to play on the computer), all I get is a message that reads as follows:

"Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because no compatible DVD decoder is not installed on your computer."

I don't know why he does not play the most, I've tried it on WinDVD and it only plays DVD when the movie is opened its files (in other words, I have to go "Playlist" then select the DVD drive and open the video folder and open all video files to it to play the movie...) I would really apprecate that it if someone could help me with this issue, at least let me know how to fix or what happened to the decoder or what...

PS: When I run " dvdupgrd / detect' to see my status as a DVD player, the window that appears named, detected DVD decoders reads:" "

  • Programs suddenly does not open!

I have Vista 64 on a Pavilion laptop. I'm at work and I don't remember the number of the product, but I'll put up later.

I wasn't too sure if it's in the legal issues section, if not can someone please point me in the right direction? Anyway.

Laptop starts normally, it seems to connect to my account normally too. However, many programs wrong, including things like

    • All Microsoft Office programs (so I can't make it work)
    • Any Antivirus
    • Multimedia players
    • Internet browsers
    • Just about everything

Curiously some programs open, especially those that came with the operating system as

    • Calculator
    • Paint
    • Notebook
    • Various programs from 'Windows' like, Movie Maker, Photo Gallery etc.
    • System Restore and other system tools
    • Control Panel stuff
    • Also Comodo firewall still works

I can also browse through my thin computer, look in My Documents etc, but I can't just DO it from there. I can also connect to my home wireless network, but just cannot be used because the browser does not open.

Here is some information that might be pertinent.

It has happened three times now, after 3 weeks, then 2 weeks before that and about 1 month before that.

Whenever I was too busy to spend time to understand, so I formatted just because I can't afford to leave my laptop off

Using the system restore has worked the 2nd time, but also caused Firefox Act up, so I formatted in any case

The other three times he didn't solve the problem, so it's not a Windows Update or the new program?

In Safe mode, the programs WORK, but nothing increase analysis antivirus (Avira, Comodo, AVG, Avast, I do not run them at the same time I have them right)

It always happens after that I restarted my computer. I reboot only every week or so. Its works fine, I restart and then nothing works.

While the opening of programs to see who would work I got a blue screen after opening Notepad, something MEMORY_MANAGEMENT

I don't know if this is related, but for the last month or so a certain IP using various ports trying to get connection with my laptop. I have the reject, but he made several attempts per day. He may have been doing this for more than a month, but I have him possibly accidentally allowed too before. Also after formatting on 35-40 GB my drive hard 250gig is mysteriously occupied (i.e. all files on C: add up to 40 GB less than what my computer c: a space for). Someone somehow destroyed my computer?

You have been violated.  Prevent your ISP and follow their instructions.  If you have the time and the IP addresses of the intruder, the ISP might be interested.  I recommend a wipe and load.  If you have a router, reset it and change the admin password.  Access admin external locking.  Wireless should be a WPA2 encryption and access through the pool of MAC.

Once you wipe and reload your system you should really use a firewall stronger.  It should also have IDS (Intrusion Detection System) and if all goes well and evidence system log.

You say that: "as Comodo firewall still work" I would rethink.  If it worked you would not have been infringed.

    Hi Philippe,.

I ask you to create another thread for the second issue, so that she can receive our attention.

    For the original question:

Have you tried the steps in my previous post?

If so, please let us know the status of the issue.

If not, then I ask you to try out them and let us know. Your request is important to us.

  • Background color makes

AE CS5.5 How can I keep my background color of composition of rendering? My project consists of titles and forms and I want the background to be transparent.

First of all you should look upward on the compression and video formats so that you know what should be trying to do. You can find from the information by typing "made" in the search field help in the upper right of the AE and browse community resources.

Second, if you just want to dive there are a few things you need to know. Multimedia players like Windows Media Player or QuickTime player does not display transparency. Transparent backgrounds will be always black. Applications more editing like Premiere Pro, Vegas, Final Cut and even iMovie and Windows Movie Maker recognize transparency so that you can add your titles in one of the apps and see through the bottom. The best mode of color (of the research) is straight Alpha. The Guide to return effects after an output module and one of the presets is Lossless with Alpha. This will give you a usable file. Do not be alarmed by the huge file size. If you want to be a pro, you are going to open up that Lossless with Alpha preset and find the line that says multiplied pre and change the mode to the right Alpha. You will get a better result.

So there you go. If you intend to do a lot of video work, I strongly suggest that you learn everything you can about formats, channels, compression, depth of color and video standards for frame rates and the size of the image. Until you make sure that your publication and your render settings settings do not tell custom because it means that you have changed something and it is impossible to tell what you'll end up by with, if you're just guessing. Most of the riddle of time will you unexpected results.
