  I tried the suggested method of deletion of registry keys, but it doesn't work on my laptop Win 7 Prof 32 bit with the built-in fax modem.

  The fax service works only when I connect the the domain administrator account, even if I put my user account in domain with administrator rights. Before my network has been migrated to Win 2003 Server Win 2008 Server, the fax service worked very well for my domain user account, then the problem could be due to a setting in group policy by default under Win 2008 Server?

  Managed to solve today after I do a right-click on WFS, go into properties, Security tab, button "Advanced", then "Change permissions" for my special user for total control account. Open WFS again and click new fax to set up a new Fax account and all went well.

  I think that the Jet is part of windows 7 and so I don't think that I can download.

  What is going on? Msjint40.dll (winxsx/Syswow64) files do not look as if they have changed recently - 14/07/2009.

  Hi you are tired,

  We will follow these steps that should fix the problem:

  Step 1
  I first suggest you to check if the Volume Shadow Copy service is started. He is responsible to perform the backup.
  1. open run it and type services.msc, and then press ENTER.
  2. in the services window find shadow copy Volume service in the services list.
  3. check that the status is started. If the condition column is empty,
  Right-click on the Volume Shadow Copy service and select start.
  4. If you get error trying to force the Volume Shadow Copy service started, try to change the Startup Type to automatic and restart the computer.

  Step 2
  Try to take in another DVD or any other external device and check.

  Step 3
  Perform a clean boot that starts Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs and eliminate software conflicts. Then try to get back and check.

  (2) enable half the services.
  (3) determine if the problem comes back.

  We have customers that use our Silverlight application. Application off because errors that the software is not able to store data about user roaming profile folder. So far, developers have a setting which allows the application to be listened to, but that makes it real slow. We try to get out of that. So my question is there a group policy setting they are system administrator can setup to allow Silverlight to store data for a roaming profile user limited account? Maybe allow data to be written locally only to the specific folder that requires Silverlight?

  I think that my problem was that I ran the VI outside TestStand.  When I ran the TestStand sequence called the VI, I had no errors.

Most likely, location of the drivers is 'protected' against driver changes or their registry setting is. Suggest that you manually download the update and save: Update for Windows 7 for x 64-based systems (KB976422)

  Not knowing what you tried to do so far to remedy this, here are my suggestions...

  Make sure that your time and time zone are set correctly.

  If you are not on the level of service pack 3, you need to get there.

  Go through the following, in order, as needed.

  Search for malware:

  Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

  • MalwareBytes (FREE)
  • SuperAntiSpyware (FREE)

  Remove anything they find. Reboot when necessary. (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

  Search online with eSet Online Scanner.

  Reset.

  Now reset your Windows with this FixIt components update:

  Reset.

  Try to get updates.

  If it still does not work, try this...

  1. Start an elevated command prompt.
  2. Run the following commands pressing on enter after each line:
     
     net stop wuauserv

     net start wuauserv
     
  3. Reset
  4. Try to reinstall updates

  3. do you have security software installed on the computer?

  It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

  I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

  To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows Vista or Windows 7 by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.
