Hello

1. what browser do you use to go online?
2. don't you make changes before the show?
3. where exactly do you see these connections?

This can happen if you have set as the web browser home page www.microsoft.com . Whenever the browser is trying to connect to the Microsoft server, you will see a large number of established connections. But in the description of the problem, you mentioned that you see these connections when the web browser is not open. This leads to some confusion. We appreciate if you can provide us with more details on the issue, so that we can better help you.

Kind regards
Syed

  • "Untrusted connection" for many sites

I am a new Windows 10 laptop recently installed firefox, and now firefox says "this connection is untrusted" with many sites, even the search bar. I noticed what I googled something directly from the search bar it will say "untrusted connection"; However if I remove the s in "https" then I'll be able to get on the site. Example: I googled 'Hello', the address that turned an untrusted connection was "https://www.google.com/search?q=hello & ie = utf-8 & oe = utf-8", to remove the s, I could get on the site, the address of the site became "https://www.google.com.sg/search?q=hello & ie = utf - 8 & oe = utf - 8 & safe = on & gws_rd = cr, ssl & ei = 5u3TVevvNsnk0gSEiZ7QDg & safe = active". "" Yes, my date and time is set correctly. I use AVG Antivirus on Asus Zenbook. I tried a lot of solutions in many forums including this support forum. Please help, it's really annoying me.

Here are all the details of "untrusted connection":

You asked Firefox to connect safely on www.youtube.com, but we cannot confirm that your connection is secure.

Normally, when you try to connect safely, sites will present a reliable identification to prove that you're in the right place. However, the identity of this site cannot be verified.
    What should I do?

If you normally connect to this site without problems, this error can mean that someone is trying to impersonate the identity of the site, and you should not continue.

This site uses HTTP Strict Transport Security (HST) to specify that Firefox didn't connect safely. As a result, it is not possible to add an exception for this certificate. »

One thing you don't mention that seems to have an impact on a large number of users of Windows 10 that parental control is applied to their accounts, causing seemingly random silent blockages. Could you control parental Microsoft and either turn it off or take your account out of the family: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/turn-off-microsoft-family-settings

Slow performance when multiple connected clients, WSM 6.0 x 64

    Hello

When users logs on, its quick and pleasant.

However, when many connects, it slows down everything.

The linked site server has basic 16 total, 24 GB of RAM, and 8 x 300 GB 10 k in RAID10 discs.

I see the server is loading rather low, he got 4 x 1 Gbit/s in the lacp to a switch of concert team, then all switches have 1gig uplink.

The server use never more than about 10 GB of RAM, this could be the problem and how to get the server to use more RAM?

Total cpu load stay about 1 to 2%, network, all about 1500Mbps picks

There is only one 25 GB os image file, and it slows down when all about 30-40 users open a session.

This affect MaxSystemCacheMBytes? If I for example 1% or 200 MB, might lower it being 'forced' to spend more RAM?

While I wait, you can try to disable all the automatic detection of proxy:

    (1) options open Internet

    (2) on the connection tab, click LAN settings

    (3) uncheck (all off), and then click OK and restart the computer.

  • When I click on connect to some sites, I get redirected to another site that is displayed on the desired site.

When I click on connect to some sites, I get redirected to another site that is displayed on the desired site.  It is easy to remove to get to the site that you want, but it is annoying.  I tried SuperAntiSpyware, Malwarebytes, Microsoft Safety Scanner, nothing helps.  The first time I ran SuperAntiSpyware it found and eliminated 4 threats, but I've been redirect since then.  It redirects not every time, but run randomly.   Any suggestions?

Try the following tips that are effective against some forms of adware.

AdwCleaner is a program that finds and removes the Adware, toolbars, potentially unwanted programs (PUP) and browser hijackers from your computer.  Using AdwCleaner you can easily more of these types of programs for a better user experience on your computer delete and while browsing the web.

The types of programs that AdwCleaner targets are usually bundled with free programs that you download from the Internet.  In many cases when you download and install a program, the installation will specify that these programs will be installed with the program you downloaded.  Unless you perform a custom installation, these unwanted programs will automatically be installed on your computer, leaving you with the extra browser toolbars, advertising and other unwanted programs.  AdwCleaner is designed to find and remove these types of programs.

  • Unable to connect to some sites

My computer cannot connect to a site.  I have a second office that connects to the site.  The site is not busy or closed.  I either get a time-out or a forbidden message.  I turned off my firewall and anti spyware and no change.  I'm at the end of my rope here.  When I try to reset my default firewall it says that it cannot make changes.  But I really didn't ' know if this is the problem or not.  I have modem cable xfinity and as I said, a second conncts to computer with the site.

    Thank you.

Thanks for the advice, people.  I ended up having the Microsoft technical support (bought a contract of 1 year for $149) repair the problem.  The first day the tech spent 2 hours on this subject and had to have a second tech level II remembered the next day.  He spent six hours on this subject and the computer ran and installed updates for three hours.  Yet once the next day he works on it for another three hours ended reinstalling everything.  I found everything to work excwept the printer/scanner.  I then uninstalled and installed and downloaded the drivers updated on the Epsom site.  Everything is good.  I'm happy that I didn't have to sit at the computer all the time to fix it, even if I had all the instructions.

    Hello

Did you do any changes to the hardware or software on your computer before this problem?

    Method 1:

I suggest you run a scan antivirus using Microsoft Safety Scanner in safe mode with networking to check if your computer is clean of any infection by the virus.

    Step 1:

Start your computer in safe mode with network.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode

NOTE: see 3 from the link above, Advanced options boot (including safe mode).

Select Mode safe mode with networking.

Once in safe mode, run step 2.

    Step 2:

I suggest you run an antivirus scan using the Microsoft Safety Scanner to confirm that your computer is free from any infection by the virus. Please find the link below.

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

Note: The Microsoft Safety Scanner ends 10 days after being downloaded. To restart a scan with the latest definitions of anti-malware, download and run the Microsoft Safety Scanner again.

The Microsoft Safety Scanner is not a replacement for the use of antivirus software that offers continuous protection.

    Method 2:

    (a) open Internet Explorer by clicking on the Startbutton and then about Internet Explorer.
    (b) click on the Toolsbutton and then click on Internet Options.
    (c) click the connectionstab, and then click LAN settings.
    (d) clear all check boxes, including the proxy settings, if necessary
    (e) restart Internet Explorer.

    Hope the information is useful.
