• Multiple instances of firefox in the Manager of tasks but FF does not open

  -Windows XP SP3 (updated with all critical updates)
  -FireFox 25.0.1 (Note: originally, I had version 31, but there are a few days that has stopped working)
  -Norton Security Suite (version of comcast) up to date
  -J' have IE6 and Chrome 37 like browsers (Note: FF stopped working, IE8 had also ceased to operate-page would open, only one system process, but the page would never load)

  A ran the following tests:
  -SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition
  -Malwarebytes Anti-Malware
  -Ad-Aware Antivirus
  -Spybot-S & D Start Center

  Found some non-critical infections still possible (nothing too crazy)
  Symptom persists as follows:
  -cool computer boot
  -Open task (no case of FF) Manager
  -Open firefox - process appears in Task Manager and it goes immediately to 50%
  (Nothing opens and nothing listed in the Applications)
  -Open a second instance of firefox - 2nd process appears in Task Manager
  (still nothing opens and no instance appears in the Applications
  (two instances continue to operate the CPU usage - a 15% and the other running at 35% - at a 50% YTD or both can be executed at 25% each)
  -opening a third instance of firefox
  (still nothing opens, and three bodies show in the Task Manager process and cumulatively race to 50% - example: 15 + 15 + 20 or 10 + 15 + 25)

  Troubleshooting:
  restored a picture disc from may 2014
  -Note: Dec 2013, I had made a complete NEW installation new Windows XP being drafted for EOL and installed all updates, including SP3, so that the image I have chosen to may was 5 months old, but I chose this one because of some other programs I had installed this month and didn't want to go through this again
  (- Note #2: I disk image, make a monthly PQI backup of my C: drive and my drive R :) I have two hard drives 300 G each, while C: drive is OS only and drive a: all my downloads, my documents, my pictures, etc.)

  -After the restored image, I tried to open FF and IE8, neither app was problematic. FF auto update version, I don't know, but it was on 31 when I realized that the problem was BACK. Had a few critical updates to WIN, and IE8 does too!

  uninstalled IE8 (restored to IE6, and now IE work - but obviously I can not live with IE6 - only necessary update!) uninstalled FF31 (and deleted all temp files and the profile of the account) and installed a copy of FF25 Neuve - while I immediately force autoupdater shut down and removed the update files, so I could stay on FF25.

  Now FF25 will only open on the second instance of the process (the first will always be 50% of the CPU, the second will open and run between 0 and 10 CPU and application in the Applications)
  -J' learned that I can kill the process by 50% using the the Task Manager or process explore and total CPU usage will be reduced down to 0% - 10%

  I can open a lot of tabs with no problems and I can right click on a link to open a new window and everything is good, BUT if I use the ICON on the desktop, quick launch ICON or the START > programs > icon, then the NEXT process will increase to 50% and no second window opens

  I've seen dozens of forums that have reported similar memory problems, but none has been resolved.

  Can you help me? I don't want to upgrade from IE6 to IE8 right now, but I won't use it for anything but stable until I can upgrade. Note: in addition to being very slow, I was move to Chrome, but I never liked Chrome... I use FF right now to ask for help.

  Any suggestions?

  I followed donaldmaloney suggestion and it works now. Here's how I did it:
  -uninstalled all instances of N360
  -restarted,
  -remove all the remaining files from the initial installation,
  -restarted again
  -reinstalled N360
  -a ran Live Update several times and restarted
  -repeated Live Update until no more updates to date are available

  And now I can open the IE and FF.
  Save yourself the time, stop working with Norton support staff, but BRAVO to them to understand their product to the root of the problem and they do not include a fix for the problem, but uninstall/reinstall was the only way to allow the difficulty of working. Great work!

  Now the fireplace (Yes, it's the latest version) scrolls top down in erratic Web pages.
  I can't control the right scroll bar.

• Since the installation of 4.0.1 I can't do a right-click on the icon in my taskbar and have Firefox give me the option "close and save" tabs. Only let's me know, I'm about to close several tabs. How to make 'save & close' return?

  Before installing 4.0.1 I could right click on the Firefox icon in the task bar of my computer and press on the window. He would then give me the option to "save the tabs and exit" or "close all tabs".

  Firefox stores now always the old session, and you can access it by going to the history menu and selecting "restore previous Session."

  If you want Firefox to display the message to save the session, it can be turned on again by changing some preferences.

  If I was part of the beta update of the forum, there were certain that we could not effectively test more aspects (such as the ' Like'), that some liked it but others did not. This kind of thing happens.

  In addition, now that we have the full version, and all servers are synchronized, there are probably things that beta testers not to experience. We all will learn in the process too. Also remember, much of the new forum software has been provided by Jive, and although many of us have commented (advantages and disadvantages), only a lot could be addressed. He was not quite want to do a beta on the Adobe software, like there was a full and distinct layer between the two.

  So far, what I see seems close to what we have seen a few weeks (months?) ago. Now, I need to really put the real software to the test, to see what has changed from then on, until now.

  #2 JDev, I want to keep as it has been installed. No modification of the system.
  
  When I changed JDev #1 to use UTF - 8, it also changed JDev #2 to use UTF - 8.
  
  How can we separate these two completely different JDev installs, so a change in one does not affect the other?

  If both JDev is the same version then they will share the default system directory.
  To avoid this, you need to put another House for each user when you call it.

  That's fine if the number of under vi is limited & fits into the main taskbar, but most of the time that it goes beyond the bar of main task and every time when I want to pass among other programs, I then have to use arrow up/down & it's really annoying and time consuming.

  is there a better way to manage/hide these proceedings vi, just a vi icon display with a sub list on the taskbar?

  Right-click on the taskbar, select Properties. Search the taskbar buttons, it is probably set to "never combine".

  My problem is that I need to use for a "Device Fonts" project for dynamic textfields. With Flash CC several standard fonts are displayed not correctly, see photos. When I select "Anti-Aliasing for reading" for this textfield, when it displays the correct police.

  If you want to use Arial Bold, embed (Einbetten..), this police.

  If you specify "use device fonts" for anti-aliasing, Arial Bold is prohibited when the published text is displayed.

  Confirmed. Looks like a bug. Probably substitute on the title (sub-) region is not performed until the region is rendered, but the subregion headers list is generated before that.

  No work around?

  All I can think so far uses a dynamic/JavaScript Action to change the label of the tab when the page is rendered.

  I use the latest version of JHeadstart (11.1.1.3.35). I chose the layout of dynamic tabs and everything works fine except that the homepage always shows all groups as a tab on the home page. If I click on any one of them it will go to the tree menu and dynamic tabs. I also changed "Tab of Menu entry-level content" to all possible values, but that does not change. Any help would be appreciated.

  You can confugure what jspx page is started when you run the application. By default, it is the House, jspx page, but you can change the execution of the uishell.jspx page that contains dynamic tabs.

  You can change it under properties propject - run configuration.

• Multiple instances of ColdFusion Builder on the same system?

  Hi people,

  Four of us working remotely in my company.  It is not uncommon for use us to all the remote desktop in a system reserved for our use and three of us CFEclipse at the same time.  We have recently installed ColdFusion Builder on this system and found that it would only allow a single instance of ColdFusion Builder to run.  When you try to start a second instance of CFBuilder would show the screen flash and then nothing more.

  Is anyone aware of workarounds or other changes that will allow us to run multiple instances of CFBuilder on the same system?

  Will address this issue.

  But for the moment as a solution, when you want start generator CF if there is file .bolt please remove the .bolt of

  C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe ColdFusion Builder\. And you will be able to launch even while the other kept open.
