Multiple query processing

I wonder how BEEP treats multiple queries in a single data model. Get requests executed sequentially or in parallel?

BEEP data model requests are get executed sequentially.

To find the sequence order, click on the "Structure" tab if you are on 11g.

And if you need proof, you can add a column that contains the timestamp with milliseconds on each data model and run the xml data. You will come to know that it's getting executed sequentially.

    Hello

    We are currently implementing Oracle R12 to the company that I work. Our implementation of solution has informed us that you cannot process a check (cheque) payments through multiple operating units and that there is a remarkable improvement with Oracle. That is why (if we accept) that we will have to deal with a separate by operating unit check that will increase our many payment processing.

    Can someone out there:

    A. confirm that it is indeed a question
    B. are you aware if anything about Oracle and
    C. is there no work around we might consider to reduce the impact.

    Thank you

    Hello

    Scenario 1
    If you're going to make it simple to check the payment to the same supplier with different places, under various operating units, oracle has provided a workaround solution, which is to make a manual payment in the accounts payable module, but it did not obtain payment instructions.

    Scenario 2
    If you make payment by check unique to various suppliers in different/similar operating units, it is not allowed by Oracle, because there is no logic behind it. You can't 1 check generated for different providers...

    I guess that you are referring to scenario 1, in which case, I would say that there is a work AROUND suggested by Oracle to make use of MANUAL PAYMENT method that you could discuss with your implementation of Solution.

  • Need help to find and replace multiple query

    Hello

    Is it possible to run multiple searches and replace queries both in Dreamweaver 8?

    Currently I have:

    Find: current Document
    Search: Source Code
    Find: ToR
    Title: < acronym 'Mandate' = > ToR < / acronym >
    Options: Match case and find whole words

    I have search and replace about 12 acronyms on each page, and I was wondering if I can create a search and replace the query that includes all my acronyms or do I have to manually run these 12 single queries every time?

    Thanks for the help!

    I'm afraid that is both

  • Database query process

    I created a database of bpel interrogation of a process at a single table and use a logical update (mark a column as processed). The table will contain the number of records not converted at any time. I have configure the polling interval for 5 Sec and unlimited records for each polling interval and in the process I call a stored procedure to insert data into a different database.

    My doubts

    But it retrieves only one record and another instance is created for each line. Is - this process is normal?

    Why need only check after having used the unlimited option?

    why I ask that this means that I don't want to call the stored procedure for each record.

    I use MS SQL Server 2005.

    a pls let me know what is happening inside.

    This is a bug that we encountered in 10.1.3.4 for the adapter for DB2 and MS SQL database. There was no difficulty for this time. (6 months)

    We have circumvented the problem by substituting the Toplink SQL in TopLink Workbench Jdeveloper and adding the 'TOP ' clause to the generated query.

    for example SELECT TOP 10 column FROM table

  • JDeveloper database query processing

    Hello

    im working with jdeveloper 11g. I have an application that displays database data in the table in the adf. In the app, I created display objects, connected via links. I some jsp pages, each of which contains 2 buttons, text fields, labels and the adf table that contains the data from database.

    When im switching between pages it takes about 5 seconds.
    When im updating the table (based on the specified time limits) he picks up at the minute. When im using TOAD, to get the data from database, the same request is processed in a second or two, but in jdeveloper it takes a minute, sometimes more. (2000 lines takes around 40seconds)

    Scrolling also takes a lot of time to 10seconds per minute, depends on the data, but in any case, it takes 20 seconds when there are about 1000 rows in the table and it is too long to wait.

    most of the time takes the query, the table display is only 1/3 of the time indicated and less.

    Do you know where the problem may be? or it's ok and jdevelopers apps are so slow?

    Thank you
    Katka

    Katka,
    as far as I know you did everything you could do. You must play with smaller numbers of lot and the beach. Normal sound better to the series 'number of visible row in the table, plus 3.
    The big means numbers that even if you see are 25 lines you get 500 (up to 475 to many). This often happens if you highlight the result set.

    Moreover, it is never a good practice to give the user the ability to scroll over these large result sets.
    Do you really need to do this?

    Thank you, Joy Gupta

    Hi joygupta,

    It is important to realize that all SQL database api is written to be used asynchronously. This means in general in order to ensure that your code works you must perform your events one after the other. If you look around these forums there are plenty of examples of people making small errors that have been fixed in this way.

    If you need help I'd post your code.

    Yes.

    That said, you can post a link that confirms that the syntax/semantics check occur in the PGA? As far as I know this isn't really a part of the PGA because code oracle itself stock grammar and would do it.

  • order of multiple query

    Hello, I have an oracle report with 3 queries/groups which are not related. Is there a way to define a sequence in which the queries? Say the first created query first, run second next e.t.c?
    Thank you very much

    running a report query as:

    the high and to the left in the data model
    in the present order top - left

    You can test this thing

    create a report with 2 queries

    You can check the order of execution of the trace tools con - trace has set a trace name (better with path) and mark only sql box
    Run the report
    after race, open again the tracking tool and erase the name and then OK to close the file
    Open the file and you can see the sql order

    then modify the right to query 1 and query 2 down save the file
    Close the report
    again open open report file and not the anc even check the file

    I said close relationship because the manufacturer have a cache of running and if you change the query in the data model you can not see the difference
    I tried reconnect without closing the generator but the cache is local and use the generator.

  • Query processing speed?

    How can I increase the speed of processing of request? and how do I check the speed of treatment?

    For example... If I run this function

    CREATE OR REPLACE FUNCTION FASTT
    RETURN A BOOLEAN VALUE
    IS
    NUMBER OF V_L;
    BEGIN
    SELECT COUNT (*) IN VEN_EMP V_L;
    IF V_L > 51 THEN
    RETURN TRUE;
    ON THE OTHER
    RETURN FALSE;
    END IF;
    END;

    BEGIN
    IF FASTT THEN
    DBMS_OUTPUT. PUT_LINE ('TRUE');
    ON THE OTHER
    DBMS_OUTPUT. PUT_LINE ('FALSE');
    END IF;
    END;

    How can check the duration of performing this function...

    and no way to improve logic programming to increase the speed of this function...

    Thank you
    Raja mezaber

    I guess that instead of making the COUNT (*), you can try block 52 lines.
    And see if that gets really 52 rows. If so, then return false true, otherwise return.

    Something like this:

    DECLARE
      CURSOR c_data IS
        SELECT 'x' as x
        FROM ven_emp;
    TYPE t_my_type IS TABLE OF c_data%ROWTYPE;
    l_tab t_my_type;
    BEGIN
      OPEN c_data;
      FETCH c_data
      BULK COLLECT INTO l_tab LIMIT 52;
      CLOSE c_data;
      return (l_tab.count = 52);
    END;

    Hello
    I'm looking for the best way to do it.

    I have a form that contains the data in 2 tables. ENTITY and CUSTOMERS

    On the page, I need to update the ENTITY table and insert into CUSTOMERS on a single button. However the button I can only select the action type from the database (insert, update, delete).

  • multiple listeners question

    Hi guys,.

    Prime: platform = Linux 2.6, RDBMS = 11.2 RAC, Data Guard No., no. flow

    I am trying to better understand why it would be beneficial to use Shared vs Dedicated server.

    My thought is that shared vs dedicated would be only one reason to use dedicated if there was not enough physical memory on the db server hosting too many connections in data bases. In our case, we have 90 + GB of RAM and 200 + GB Swap and only an average of 300 tns connections.

    Is there any reason to use SHARED server connections, or maybe if we do a lot of parallel requests (for large sets of data).

    Then, why would it be advantageous to use several listeners, on different ports?
    Since it's just logic, which would be any performance gain to separate the listeners and have separate listeners for each database on the same server?
    It all seems like extra stuff to things clouds upward if we really do not need. So what logical reason it would be to have separate Auditors?

    958713 wrote:
    Thanks Billy V. and SB92075.

    The only question I would have for Billy V. is if the only advantage you speak about shared server, is for the initial connection, or parallel query processing time?

    listening process is ONLY involved during initial connection from the client to the DB request.
    Listener is TOTALLY out of the picture before any SQL (parallel or not) is treated.

  • Berkeley DB Java Edition - multiple threads accessing the database

    Hello

    I would like to access (read & write) a Berkeley DB of multiple threads (process/FMV anyway).

    Can I use a single com.sleepycat.je.Database object for all threads, or should I create an instance of each?

    Or is there another way to do it?

    Thank you

    The object database can be used by multiple threads, you can use a single instance or multiple ones, as suits you best. Of http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E17277_02/html/java/com/sleepycat/je/Database.html.

    The database handles are free of threads and can be used simultaneously by multiple threads. '

    If you read the javadoc, you can find any other comments on the use of the classes from multiple threads.

  • Possible bug in implementing caching query ColdFusion 10

    I have stumbled upon a bug in caching of queries in ColdFusion 10.  I wanted to see if anyone else had seen this before as I've submitted a bug report.  It will be difficult to set up a full test case, so I hope that a description will be enough to confirm if this is reproducible.

    First, I create an array of structures.  Each structure is a set of key/value pairs of the arguments that will be passed to a query.  The first two keys contain numeric values, the third a string value.  I asked a Microsoft SQL Server database.  My query is inside a loop of table.  The query contains the CachedWithin attribute to 1 hour. In the query, I pass values in the structure in the clause WHERE using CFQueryParam.

    If two sets of numeric values are quite similar, but not identical, ColdFusion will jumble the values and hidden bad back the query result set.  For example, values in my table:

    [{BookNo = 97, NUMPAGE = 1, match = 'Card of the evaluator'}, {BookNo = 212, NUMPAGE = 50, match = 'Card of the evaluator'}, {BookNo = 250, NUMPAGE = 12, match = 'Card of the evaluator'}, {BookNo = 97, NUMPAGE = 1, match = 'Card of the evaluator'}]

    When I run the page for the first time with an empty query cache, this is what I get:

    1. Search results for BookNo 97, NUMPAGE 1. (non-cached)
    2. Search results for BookNo 212, NUMPAGE 50. (non-cached)
    3. Search results for BookNo 212, NUMPAGE 50. (cached)
    4. Search results for BookNo 97, NUMPAGE 1. (cached)

    What should I get:

    1. Search results for BookNo 97, NUMPAGE 1. (non-cached)
    2. Search results for BookNo 212, NUMPAGE 50. (non-cached)
    3. Search results for the BookNo 250, NUMPAGE 12. (non-cached)
    4. Search results for BookNo 97, NUMPAGE 1. (cached)

    See the problem with the third iteration, it's pulling the same results of the second iteration.  If I remove the CachedWithin, achieve the desired results.  If I create my own CacheID, I get the expected results.  It's only when I let ColdFusion handle the cache on its own I get incorrect results.

    Someone at - he seen anthing like that?  This look like a bug legitimate which must be filed?

    -Carl V.

    @BKBK,

    It's too complex for me to say. I have these questions, for example:

    (1) when the loop is processed, ColdFusion treats 4 queries consecutively?

    (2) a comparison of SQL statements is one of the controls that ColdFusion is running to decide whether to perform a given query or use cached data. Data using cfqueryparam binding has an effect on the SQL statement?

    (3) place a cfdump of the request as the last statement in the loop. A query dump tells you if a query is cached. You see what queries are cached?

    1. Yes.
    2. Oooh!  I've been using cfqueryparam.  I removed the cfqueryparams, and now he behaves as expected.  Seems that there is a bug when combining cfqueryparam and caching.
    3. Already had this and it was the results cached for the second query processing allegedly the third query (see the original post for the expected and actual results).

    -Carl V.

    Update: and it seems that it is a known bug, after all, with the layout of the query cache and cfqueryparam: https://bugbase.adobe.com/index.cfm?event=bug&id=3369530.  I'll add my vote, and perhaps others can also.

    Update 2: and looking more closely, it looks like it has been fixed in an everything-to-be-released version.  I hope that we will get it soon.  A suggested workaround solution was to place the values of cfqueryparam in a SQL comment, which seems to help CF recognize the single request instructions and cache correctly.
