CS6 launches multiple gpusniffer processes using the CPU constantly

I don't have a card Nvidia (ATI Radeon 6670). After working with CS6 for a few hours, there will be 15 or so gpusniffer.exe processes running in the background, each 2 to 20% CPU consumption. They continue to run after the closure of the CS6. Given that I don't have a taken GPU supported anyway, is it possible to disable the probe gpusniffer altogether?

Thanks, I filed a bug.

    Hello

Can someone advise? I have a 32 bit Windows 7 laptop and when it is on, svchost.exe - k netsvcs will run and make use of 50% or more of the CPU and finally up to several hours.

It is a very annoying problem where even if I complete the process using the Task Manager, it reappears shortly after. A reboot also sees a resumption of the process.

I traced this problem to the (wuauserv) Windows Update I had to turn off to avoid the recurring problem. But as this is not an optimal solution, I'd quite like to know how to solve this problem permanently.

    Thank you very much, Harry.

The only thing THAT AE really use the GPU is obsolete ray-traced rendering engine. Very few people use the ray-traced rendering engine. I wouldn't worry about this at all.

More info here: features GPU (CUDA, OpenGL) in After Effects and here: http://motionworks.net/after-effects-3d-future/

Now, some third-party plugins (like element, 3D Invigorator, transmutation, etc..) Make use of the GPU, but they will work with the AMD cards and have nothing to do with this warning of CUDA, you want to come. Check that the requirements for all you plan to buy.

You can confidently check the option do not show this message.

  • Firefox does not start (not safe mode), but uses the CPU

I have the latest Firefox 25.0 (and the last Flash 11.9.900.117) on Windows 7 and the following behavior is reproducible. It started not too long ago.

At first when I launch Firefox, nothing appears no matter how often, I restart. I see in the list of the process firefox.exe to 25% of the CPU, 2 x FlashPlayerPlugin_11_9_900_117.exe (CPU 0%) and plugincontainer.exe. No matter how many times I killed all of them, would not restart Firefox.

The following also not help in this situation:

    • Starting in normal safe mode: Firefox opens a window but immediately freezes and does not respond. The process list shows the same process even if I find the unexpected FlashPlayer.
    • Disable plugincontainer: same results (just without plugincontainer.exe)
    • Uninstall Flash: Same results (just without FlashPlayerPlugin)

The following can start Firefox only once:

    • Starting in SafeMode but select "Reset Firefox": Firefox does not start right away, however. Nothing happens, and you have to kill the process. However the very next time you launch Firefox in the normal way, it works fine (but it shows FlashPlayerPlugin.exe in the list of unopened Windows process despite the tab). Unfortunately, after closing Firefox the process (Firefox, FlashPlayerPlugin) are not deleted. I kill and the problem with Firefox do not leave reappears.

In case you use "clear history of Firefox closing:

    • do not delete Cookies

Note that compensation "Preferences of Site" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, windows pop up, installation of software and passwords.

Use "Firefox > output" (Windows: Firefox/file > quit;) Mac: Firefox > quit Firefox. Linux: Firefox/file > exit) to close Firefox if you are currently doing by clicking on the X close in the title bar of Firefox.

Create a new profile manually (and not via the reset) as a test to see if your profile is the source of the problems.

    See "create a profile":

If the new profile works then you can transfer files from a profile in the new profile, but be careful not to copy files corrupted to avoid transporting on the problem.

  • Running process crushing the CPU

    Hey guys,.

I installed Sierra on my Macbook Pro 13 "2015 today and had a problem where the process of"photoanalysisd"ran all the time.  I used between 120-150% of the CPU.  When I force quit, he came right away.  After a few hours, I went back to el Capitan.  If there are others out there who have had the same experience and a possible solution would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you.

I think the "photoanalysisd" process of facial recognition / scene on your photo library.  I've seen this as well as a few other processes using higher than normal amounts of CPU.  A few hours later, everything is back to normal once all the new features have done their thing.  Depending on how many files, the speed of your system (CPU and storage read/write), and all what you use, this background process will end eventually.  It took a few hours for me to see that I had the minimal use of the processor idling.  I hope this helps.

  • Process creates the CPU to overheat and the Fans to run like crazy:

I am ripping DVDs on different Macbook cradle fully aware that it's requiring treatment.

The 2011 with 16 GB of ram and hard disk SSD, the process runs on 330% of the processor, blasting the ability and heat

    revolves around 100 c/213 F.

Interesting enough the same process on 2 late Mo Pro 2008 with less ram do not overheat in the extraction process. The program are identical on all the Pros of 3 MB. The processes are the same, but on the old MBpros the processor load is between 130-150% up to more heating is not that great a problem.

But the MBPro of 2011 with top material tearing overheating of the processor and fans running at full speed.

I noticed that too much work with other programs or is running only a few programs at the same time seem to heat from the processor and the fans make some noise + cpu run hot with my MBpro 2011 and El Capitan.

It is possible to restrict a program that use a large part of the resources to avoid overheating?

    Other solutions?

Well a Late 2008 Macbook Pro has a intel core 2 duo, so the max he could run is 200% (2 CPUs time 100%) if the application can do enough on 2 processors in parallel.

Your 2011 Macbook Pro has very probably a 4 core CPU intel i7 with hyper-threading.  If an application can use hyper-fils, there is a potential of 800% max.  The 330% could just be that the DVD cannot keep up with the CPU, so it does not hit its maximum potential because of the famine of data.

I don't know if the speed of the DVD drive in 2008 was the same as the 2011.  If the 2011 is able to read data more quickly than the 2008, then it can provide given the CPU faster, keep the much busier CPU so it can consume more power, and more power consumption more than the heat generated.

MacBook pro 2011 ends a DVD in less time than the 2008?

Basically, you are trying to compare 'Granny Smith' vs 'Golden Delicious' apples and expects the same taste.

Regarding the other programs, put this SSD in your Macbook Pro means that any code or data that the application needs to get the disc are convinced order or magnitude faster, so that the application did not slow the CPU and keep crank, causing the CPU to keep them busy and thus attract more power, which is converted into heat causing fans to run.

It is also possible that your SSD generates more heat.  Solid State does not always mean longer running costs.  Much would depend on the brand and the model of the SSD and it is the power profile, and it draws more power for writing vs readings, and how much nature more expensive power you're done.

Information point.  I put an SSD in my 2009 27 "iMac and it works more hot because my iMac can do more in less time.  I put an SSD in my Macbook Pro 2011 and if I ask him to do a lot of work, like backups, it starts its fans, as the SSD is always quick to provide data for backup, there is no waiting for the discs, leaving the lower idle CPU.

  • Event Viewer Help - PC uses the CPU to 100% every 10 seconds

Every 10 seconds, my CPU goes to 100% usage and then back down to normal levels.  When I check the event viewer, it says that Itunes is the source of the problem.  I uninstalled Itunes and other Apple software and still have the problem.  How to use the info in the event viewer to clear the file that asks that question?

The event viewer displays the following:

    GroupOperationId 143
    OperationId 800
    Operation Start IWbemServices::ExecQuery - select * from Win32_Product where Name = "iTunes."
    ClientMachine Local
    User . \SYSTEM
    ClientProcessId 0
    NamespaceName \\.\root\cimv2

Help! I have spent HOURS trying to understand this point and cannot!

    Thank you

    Jaime

Go to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx and run Autoruns and click on everything and see if there are lists of iTunes.  If so, clear the checkbox to remove the starter.  Check the complete list in case there is more than one entry.  When finished (if you foind alone), reboot and see if the problem persists.

Download Revo and use it to uninstall iTunes http://www.snapfiles.com/reviews/revo-uninstaller/revouninstaller.html.  He is able to find and to perform an uninstall, then restart and see if the problem is resolved.  If he could not find or uninstall iTunes do not bother with the reset - it did not work.  Try to reinstall iTunes and then uninstall with Revo instead of Vista uninstalling the program to see if that makes a difference.

If this does not work, try a boot minimum http://support.microsoft.com/kb/929135.  If the problem goes away then it's just a matter of tracking down the culprit at the origin of the problem.   Follow the procedures described in the article.  Once found, remove, delete, disable or uninstall.  Once remember to put Vista in normal status, as described in the procedures. If the problem occurs in clean mode then just restore the system to normal and reboot - this solution will not work.

Double-click the error message in the event viewer, and it can provide premanente details that can help us find the problem.  Here's how to use Event Viewer: http://www.petri.co.il/vista-event-viewer.htm. Display any additional information that you will learn (if any).

In the Task Manager when you see the running process, try clicking on it and then click end task.  Is there any task containing more than 10% of the CPU at all times - if so, what?  I assume that you have already tried it and a new process starts just 10 seconds later.

The above information is useful in telling us that iTunes seems to be the cause.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • Random processes using 50% CPU (dll files)

Random process (svchost.exe, taskhost.exe, taskmgr.exe procexp.exe - Process explorer, chrome.exe, skype.exe and so forth) always use 50% CPU, but only one of them will do both. If I stop the process that takes too much CPU usage, after 5 seconds, another process starts using 50% CPU again. I used Process Explorer to check the problem, and I found that the process still using 50% CPU has api-ms-win - returned-* dll running (from 4 to 9 of the dll). No other process has them. After that I started to close the processes one by one and always monitor the dll, and it seems that after I stop a CPU consuming processes, after a few seconds another process loads the api-ms-win - returned - all * dll and start again using too much CPU. I don't know if the CPU usage is relevant to these DLLs, so I came here to help.
I tried to reinstall windows, use 2 anti virus to find something and neither things solved the problem.

At it remove it (or quarantine it)?  If she keeps reappearing you are still infected and may have to start a new thread in the virus & malware to help with its removal

  • Can't get GTX 970 to render - it is still using the CPU

    Hello guys.

I use lawsuits to first Pro CC 2014 on Windows 8.1 x 64.

    Decided to try my new machine - i5 - 4690K, EVGA GTX FTW 970, 16 GB DDR3 2400 Mhz, Samsung 850 Pro.

So I have this test video 1080 p 60 FPS 1 min 2 s short that I export in H.264 format as source but lower bitrate.

With the software rendering engine, it must be 3min20s.

I wanted to try my GTX 970, so I ran the GPUSniffer and added "GeForce GTX 970" in my "cuda_supported_cards.txt". Reboot the machine, new project, selected made GPU in the parameters of the project and gave it a go.

It took exactly as before 3min20s and control of CPUID HWMonitor GPU use was 0 and CPU running at full speed. So certainly not GPU accelerated.

I use the newer drivers, which is 350,12.

Any ideas what should I do now?

I thank very you much for your time.

ATTENTION: The video card is useful in some situations. It is not the Holy Grail, and usually does not reduce the time of export.

Encoding in an export format is done by the processor, not the GPU. There is no gain performance of a video card.

  • Is it possible to use the CPU T7200/T7400/T7600 on Qosmio G35-AV650?

    Hi all

Is it possible to upgrade the processor on a G35-AV650 to a T7200/T7400/T7600?

The reason why I ask, is that I pulled the laptop out to give it a good clean and replace the fans, etc..
Also, it would give me a 64-bit processor

    Hello

In General, upgrading CPU is tricky because no one can tell if the BIOS would support the new processor. Although the chipset and motherboard would be able to manage the new processor, there could be a problem with the BIOS compatibility.

As mentioned, if you want to use the new processor, chipset compatibility please.
If the chipset would be able to manage the new processor, then you have a good chance to get the new processor running.

  • How can I stop the process using the trigger Disqualification?

How can I stop and start the process using triggers in Disqualification?  While planning a job, I can not able to see the folder of trigger / trigger name in the tool palette? What kind of file should be placed in the Triggers folder. If you know someone, let me know. If someone has shared an example script which is very useful for me.

    Thanks in advance.

    Malila Chandra.

It is a common use case.

You create a job that has a closed Web Services trigger configured before executing the first phase (right click on the stage in the Task Manager, select Configure, you will then see this screen below), with the work or or jobs you need to added stop. This must be configured to be 'blocking', i.e. the rest of the work expected on the triggering comprehensive action.

Work should have a phase which refreshes the data staging, and another phase (or a phase of post trigger) that returns your work in normal real time (using the trigger on the job).

  • doc2text process using 100% cpu for a long

I have encountered this problem before and never received a satisfactory solution.

When we publish some PDF documents via collab in KD, doc2text process on our servers portals (also our API) turn at 100% of the CPU for about 90 seconds. This causes the publication of collab to fail, so we resort to directly download the file to the KD via downloading content.

    (1) why doc2text works on our servers of portal in the first place? Is this a result of the service portal server or api? If I move the API service off the coast to another machine, which will remove that pig of our front end servers CPU?

    (2) has anyone seen this before, or found a way around it? Y at - it a newer version of doc2text in gR 10, 3 that is not so terrible?

I'm about to move to 1 - cpu virtual in our new environment, so any process that takes up 100% of the CPU will kill performance.

    Joel,

Collab makes an IDK call to publish the document, so it does not hit the API service. For this reason, I propose the wide API service to another server so that the portal is not affected.
