  The same rules apply, you must apply a numerical value, because this is what is stored in essbase data compared to the intersection.

  I think having a little further out for you.

  So far, I understand it is: your users can select a year and month on a data form. Something like 201511.

  You want to make sure that this value of 201511 lies between 201501 and 201512. On the dataform, you want to build a validation that informs the user about an incorrect entry, if a different value than a month of the year has been given. If this message should appear before you save the data, then you need somewhere on your dataform (hidden) these data and you compare the data cell of user input with those provided by you as limits.

  These limits, you can calculate with the substitution variable.

  An alternative is to bind a calc rule to the form that compares the input value with the range you provided. Then you send a flag (for example a 0 or 1) to indicate if the data entry is OK or not. Then you put a flag of validation on this return code, indicating to the user a bad entry.

  We recently upgraded to 9.3.1 to 11.1.2.1 and have noticed some errors on our forms of data in Planning.
  
  We have created 12 Essbase substitution variables to manage periods in our forecast of turnover (mon1, mon2, mon3, mon4, mon5, mon6, mon7, mon8, mon9, mon10, mon11, mon12).
  
  All forms of data have been configured to use variables such as the period, that is, in the data grid, we put the columns contain data period and the values to be «mon1, mon2, mon3, mon4, mon5, mon6, mon7, mon8, mon9, mon10, mon11, mon12»
  
  In some scenarios, we expect every 12 months. In this case, the process was to define the months while "sus" for the last month has planned. For example, if we si nous devions had to forecast Jan Jun the variable mon1 through mon6 will contain Jan Jun and the variables through mon12 mon7 will contain the value Jun.
  
  System 9 in the case where the forms only display the June period, once, but the system 11 Jun is shown once for each time that the variable is in the form.

  Bug 11725854 - repeated variable user are not deleted in regular forms

  "I have a form with attached a few business rules with option 'Use members on data form' business rules 'Year' is guest Runtime ' and the form 'Year' is in the Page with CurrYr & NextYr. When I run the BR of the shape, it's taking the protected member 'Year' for "CurrYr" instead of "FY10" and error due to there is no "CurrYr" Member in the Dimension 'year '. If run the same BR of EAS with options select correctly it is works well but not Web form as it is treatment 'Year' as 'CurrYr '. I restarted all services but no use.
  
  
  The same forms and the same rules in another proceeding properly. Event this instance also worked very well before a couple days back. Why all of a sudden he behaves like that.

  Looks like it could be the problem

  6753394 when you start a business of a form of planning rule and of the business rule contains a value of substitution variable is filled at run time and assigned to a dimension of planning, the substitution variable name is filled in the window run time fast (RTP) instead of the value of the variable substitution.

• Display multiple lines of data collection defined by the user in an e-mail message

  I created a collection defined by the user that displays several lines of data. I created a custom rule and have linked this collection set by the user to this rule and configure an e-mail action. Variable Seveity, I have defined it in the rule to contain the column values. But it will only contain the first line of data. How can I display multiple lines of data in the alarm itself as well as the e-mail? Any help is appreciated.

• How to use substitution variables, as in Microsoft Word using Hyperion Smart view

  Can we use the Substitution Variables to copy data points and cool off in Microsoft Word? I tried and it does not dynamically (copy the data points only copies what was in excellent cell right there). It copies only the static value of this variable for this cell. I want to use dynamically in Word so that if I change the value of this variable in Essbase, it is updated in Word on refresh. Any idea?

  We need this notification feature in microsoft word and keep using data points every year (instead of copy the cells of excellent on new)

  You may not use substitution variables, as with the copy data points. I tried a while back (after 111.1.2.1.102) and it wouldn't work.  I checked with Oracle development and they said that I is not available

• Add Member error data form

  Hello gurus,

  I am running into an error with the data forms saying "an unknown error has occurred in the HsvWebFormGeneratorACM object. The error occurs when I open the form data in excel and then try to add a member to a billing on R15 (please see text below). The "Add Member" feature works fine when I shoot to the top of the form of data in the browser.

  So Far, based on the OTN forums and the idea of Oracle knowledge base, I have 1) removed all replacements on the blank lines and SCalc and 2) removed all deletion on the data form options.

  This page was built in HFM 11.1.2.0 and we just migrated to HFM 11.1.2.2.304 during an upgrade. I'm pulling into excel using Smart View 11.1.2.2.300 (soon to update 11.1.2.2.310).

  I'd appreciate it really all comments or advice from someone who has faced this problem before or can find out what is causing the problem.

  The only way I could get the functionality of adding members to work was to create a line of false 'Add Member' in the first line of data. I pulled an account of higher level for attribute the PEAK Add Member to him, but put in a substitute so no data would be thrown. Even if I put in a blank line before this fake Add Member line, the rest of the legitimate add feature Member did not work well. My new script is as follows:

• HFM - inserting rows data form

  Is it possible to easily insert a line when you create a data form in HFM? While I've built simple data forms, my first attempt at building a data with several separate lines form was painful because I can't understand how to insert a line in the middle of the other lines.
  
  The only faster alternative, that I found was to change the numbers on the "Script" tab, but who also gets inefficient when I need to add a line to the top of a data line 100 form.
  
  I would appreciate any advice on how to create forms of data more effectively.

  One might think that there is a better way, right? Nope...

  I put together a quick and dirty excel file to renumber the lines / columns in the view script...

  #1-open the form in the editor
  #2-go into Script mode
  #3-jump to the right place in the file and insert rows or columns (NOTE: when you add the row or the column give a number such as C1 or R1.) It should not be a correct number, there must be a number so that my macro excel recognizes the renumbering...)
  #4-copy / paste the script into the Excel file in the data column of the Original form
  #5-copy / paste the column "Becomes the Output" in the script of the web form box in HFM.

  NOTE: I didn't feel bored enough to fix the substitution line and column numbers! If you add lines between a range that you override in forms, you will need to adapt them accordingly.

• Assign the numeric value of Substitution Variable?

  What I try to do is:
  
  Read a CSV file via the unix shell and choose some columns in each row
  Transmit the data to a MaxL Script
  Assign the data passed to substitute variables in the MaxL script.
  
  Problem:
  
  Two of the columns contain digital data (for example: 0.5 or 60 etc..) I want to set the substitution variables in these digital data (without the quotes). I tried to use
  
  Edit the < app and cube name > database variable 'Variable' $1;
  
  but it gives me error
  ERROR - syntax error 1242021-1 ['. 5']
  I tried with quotes single and double, but they value the value of the variable $1
  
  If I manually set the value of this Variable through the Regional service to 0.5, everything works perfectly. Any ideas on how to do this? the Ser60 does not provide a solution.

  An example is

  startMaxl scriptname.mxl "0.5"

  alter database appname.dbname set variable "VariableName" $1;

  or

  startMaxl scriptname.mxl 0.5

  alter database appname.dbname set variable "VariableName" ' \'$1\' ";

  I'm working on the application of the work force and I have a data form that retains the existing employee status. I have a BR transfer that transfer employees to different entities and I assigned this BR on the form of data used with 'run on Save '.
  
  whenever I have transfer an employee and save provides me guests what entity to be transferred, his work very well in this way. but when I change the status of the employee left and save, it runs guests to transfer instead of save just the employee initially status. What is the best way to deal with missing employees and how set the BR of transfer works only when the user saves the transfer out of status.

  In my opinion, that kind of customization in validatedata.js could help you jump transfer business rule if there is no transfer on this will need to be calculated in the form.
  But I think the best way is to make the transfer via a right-click menu. So anything that requires the user to provide additional variables that may conflict with other actions need to be attached to the context menu as a BR element

  I need emergency to run a query in SQL Developer today, but one of my ' case... when ' clauses which I had to slightly modify is originally the query request a Substitution Variable. I have never seen it before and that you see that no fault in my code so I am confused and getting frustrated why this problem appeared suddenly today on the performance reports.
  
  The original clause works very well:
