  Have you tried to install drivers for your printer InOs. Here is the screenshot how to add a printer.

  1. Go to the device and printer, click Add a printer-> select Add a local printer, and then click Next.

  

  2. Select the existing port of list (printer port virtual USB or serial port depending on how the printer is

  connected to the Pc and click Next.

  

  3. in the production list, choose HP and on the list of the printers section search HP LaserJet 1100 (MS) in the list and click Next
  to install the driver of InOS.

  Note: If not HP LaserJet 1100 (MS), and then click Windows update and allow while it updates the list of readers
  then look for HP LaserJet 1100 and click next to install the drivers

  Note: you must have Internet access to download drivers INOS

  someone knows what's the problem?  the prnter is not yet connected.  Must not be in use.  The problem I had was that the stuff sent to the printer seems to sit and take 15 ins to print a test page.

  Drivers are available for Laserjet 5 on Windows 10

  Just use the universal pcl5 driver that will work very well.  With this printer, connection to the computer is more a problem.  If you use a parallel cable, you will need to go into Device Manager, click ports, and then double-click the lpt port to which you connect the printer.  Click device settings and change the medium box default is to check for the 3rd area of use all stop available and also click legacy plug-and-play.  This will allow the printer work with windows 10.  If connected using a different method and cannot load the driver, report with how connected.

Note: I am not a HP, but I hope that this solution to be share with all the world. Because in this forum, someone said that HP Laserjet P2055d/P2055dn/P2015,... all of them work with windows 7, 8 or 10 (he is very old) and everybody need replace new printer or pay certain amounts of money to solve the problem.

  My LaserJet 4 works fine - just as HP promised when I bought it.  Now, customer support HP told me that HP has made the choice NOT to write a driver for it to work with Windows 7.  How can I use my LaserJet 4 - ideas?  I hate to drop it into my local landfill.

  In fact HP did write a driver, it is provided through Windows Update.

  Hello. I have the problem. I recently installed Windows 7 x 64, and when I tried to install the driver for my LaserJet 1020 of the site, an error appeared.

  First of all, when I launched the driver installation program, I have subscribed to the license agreement and proceeded. Than, in the loading bar appears, it came with 3 branches of division inside and above text was as "preinstall the driver files. Then suddenly, for a fraction of second text 'Copy of the files on the hard drive' appeared again once «Preinstallation of the driver...» "and he appeared again for less than a second and again and again...   And one more: in Program Files-> HP folder there is a lot of driver files (which seem to not work) and another file with the same file and folder inside HP HP... Recurrence, I think.

  So, what should I do? I can't use my printer for a long time because of this driver!

  I answered my own question or find a temporary solution until the official driver is published. After a few successes and failures with different drivers HP Color Laserjet, I downloaded the driver communication USB LaserJet of HP (DOT4) of Windows 8 and higher (64-bit) , located at the link below.  It is listed for the printer HP Color LaserJet 3700 , but it worked for the HP Color Laserjet 1600 as well.  Hope it helps someone.

  What is your printer model correct and complete on her forehead?

  The HP Laserjet 1005 and the HP Laserjet P1005 (which is the driver you are using) are different models...
