Multitrack recording - help

I apologize if this sounds like a daft but im new request for registration.  I use hearing to record a song.  There are some guitar parts that I started to record approximately 2 minutes into the song.  How can I make these tracks start at 0:00. 00. the reason is that my friend to mix and master the song for me in another program.  If I copy all tracks hearing on cd, they will be out of sync when importing into another program, unless they all start at 0:00. 00.

Or, if you generate a lot of silence and then mix with the desired clip later in the piece, you'll find yourself with a track full length... and no mixing involved.

Easy - you had to use the ASIO driver, and then it works perfectly. For once I can be absolutely sure of that because I have a UFX here... (best audio device I've ever owned, FWIW)

  • Levels of live mix during the multitrack recording

    Hello world

I use hearing CC 2014 on a Macbook Pro running Mavericks connected to a FireWire Alesis iO26. My drivers are up to date. Adobe recognized my hardware very well, and I'm able to sort my entries to my channel of material without any problem.

    Here's my problem:

I am trying to record a multitrack session. When I activate record my songs and start recording, I'm not able to adjust the entry of my pieces levels using the volume button of the track or the faders in the Mixer Panel. I'm not hearing, to change the input levels on my hardware- I want to adjust the levels of recording of the hearing.

When I drop the fader/volume button, my monitor volume decreases, but the volume record on each track is unchanged, no matter how I change the button/fader. I'm sure it's a very basic, dumb question, but what am I doing wrong? Is it not possible to adjust the volume of in the hearing during a recording?

    Thanks for your help.

Hearing does not change, your input levels to precisely what the audio device provides, so any adjustment level to do hardware audio device driver level or the input source itself.  Setting levels of entry into the software could do to high levels of noise or an opportunity missed because of a misconfigured track.  By capturing the full input stream, raw, make sure your recordings are as transparent as possible their original source, then levels can be adjusted in a nondestructive way later.

Although the hearing will not give you a warning when becomes low available disk space (after all, he does not know how much time you will save because there he does not know how much space it will take), but it is displayed in the Status bar (bottom right) how much disk space is left and can show the available recording time.

You can use the group clause such as

  • multitrack recording with the living presonus studio

I have a mixer 16.4.2ai people and prefer to use logic pro as my DAW.  With the presonus capture, I can automatically record/capture all channels of entry without having to assign each channel whenever I record.  Is it possible to do it with logic? Currently, I go into each track and assigning the input channel every time.

    That

Not sure I understand what you mean every time "save you". You only need the configuration entries once. They will remain in tact for each record. If you want you can save it as a template so it will be all together upwards for each new project. You can also record each input channel or stereo mix output via FireWire - Setup is required in presonus app to do this.  You can also configure all channels with a single click entry by highlighting all of them in the mixer and hold down the option key when you select the entry in the Mona channel - this will fill strips sequentiall channels.

  • CS6 records do not ASIO sound card SB Ashley

I am on Windows 10 and I just installed a new card his Creative Sound Blaster Ashley yesterday. The daughter card has entered RCA for recording, but when selecting ASIO under device class it automatically shows the device as Creative SBZ series ASIO. When I go back to the Audio channel for stereo input mapping by default I need to select the aux in l/r for both channels of file (MIC no longer work), that of not really show or detect the named RCA inputs Platinum properties Microsoft Sound. When I try to register it does not record. If I go back to Ms. He fine records. I adapted the sample and bit rates to be identical (48 Hz/24-bit), but still will not be entered by ASIO. I googled and read through forums and creative Adobe forums and can't really find a solution. I downloaded ASIOALL and it has saved, but could not control the recording. He also recorded at the 44hz/24-bit. I normally record 96 Hz/32-bit for the recording of high resolution. Before, I bought this card, I read some comments that some had problems with ASIO drivers and I did download and install the latest drivers from Creative before installing the card. I tried to go through every setting I can find, but nothing works. This is a map high profile, and they announced that he as a great way to save using ASIO for studio-quality sound. I already wrote to Creative, ask for help too. It recognizes kind of ASIO, but not entirely with the entries, it should. Someone at - it a fix for this problem? Thank you.

Update - I finally got to do check in even at 96 Hz/32-bit, but it can not monitor during recording. Yet to try!

OK, I understand much better now.  I assumed you had live music with microphones etc.  Any transfer of digital records is another story.

Flat response, is that you don't need ASIO.  ASIO is specially designed for multitrack recording - picture a situation where a singer is to hear their own voice back in the headphones but delayed by one-tenth of a second or two.   Makes almost impossible pace and ASIO is designed to minimize the latency, but this isn't a problem for you.  Similarly, you're closing another software that could try to catch your sound card, so it is no more a problem for you.  FYI, ASIO makes no difference to the quality of the sound.  That will be determined in a mixture of your Platinum/pre-amp/sound card.  ASIO only effects how things work once it is already digitized.

The risk to Adobe on a sale, I don't think that the new monthly hearing (CC) version will work better with rather dubious imitation of Creative Labs of ASIO.  As I said earlier, I found thousands of messages of griping on their ASIO, against all kinds of different brands of Audio software, including things like Cubase and Protools.  However, if you want to satisfy your curiosity, you can download a 7 day trial of the latest version of CC.

I can resist not only one more to Soundblaster however.  When you later buy a specialist audio interface, you will almost immediately notice the level of background noise (hiss) strongly reduced - and in the same way, you will have more leeway to allow a greater dynamic range without distortion.  Regarding the cables, I agree but here is the first supplier American I found with Google: unbalanced cables: TS to RCA | Sweetwater.com FYI, Hosa is a good professional brand so do not be tempted by these very expensive Co Pro (which is not a respected professional brand.

(Either incidentally, my setup for vinyl is an old 405 Garrard slate thickness inches with an arm EMS and Ortofon cartridge through the phono pre amp in my all as old amp.)

    Happy recording!

  • Recording of surveillance

    Hello

I am currently using hearing CC and I have a record in the wave-editor in Chief of the voice. My question is: How can I follow this record with my helmet?

If I use the multitrack Editor, I can see the 'I' button, but how can I do this in the waveform?

    Looking for your help.

    Thommy

Check-in wave form is somewhat different for multitrack recording. Even if you save multitrack, recording of surveillance comes via the software, which inevitably has a period of treatment (called latency) and this can cause problems if, for example, you try to record your own voice; the delay is extremely off-putting.

That is why, normally, the monitoring is done directly through your audio device - and it has to be if you save waveform, as there is no other choice. The standard (and this can be difficult with some internal audio devices) is to put the headphone out to receive a signal from the entrance. It is not a problem for the hearing - faithfully records everything that he receives - it's just a problem for you. Almost all cases, it is easier to put up with an external audio device having its own Panel mixer; people have reported often difficult, especially with laptops, trying to get it works satisfactorily.

Either way, the difference in multitrack recording and waveform is that multitrack is direct to disk, but in waveform, is written to a temporary file and not saved until you are finished recording.

  • No playback in edit mode, but multi is fine. Help?

Hi - my problem is that whenever I try to read an audio piece that I have in a multitrack session and open it in edit mode, the audio will not play back - the read head moves and the meters audio recording, but nothing can be heard.

However, I have no problem with audio playback in multitrack recording in both modes.

Any help on how to solve this problem is highly appreciated

CS3 is the version we use here.

When you say that CS3, do you mean AA3.0?  FYI, hearing was not actually part of the back of the Creative Suite, then (it was added with CS5.5) so it becomes confusing.

If Yes, one thing you might check is that in previous versions, you could make a different configuration of audio material to change (waveform) and multitrack.  Go to hardware configuration Audio/Edit and make sure that the right audio interface is defined in the edit view and multitrack tabs.

Otherwise, check the depth of rate and few examples on your individual track is the same as the multitrack session.

  • GarageBand 10.1.2 to stop recording after 2 hours

    Hi all

We use Garageband to record longer sessions. Real, we have the problem, that Garageband continues to record exactly after 2 hours and 15 minutes.
We tried 6 times and it was always the same. There is enough free space on the disk (SSD) and he quickly enough (MacBook Pro with i7/16 GB RAM).

You can start immediately after he stopped without registration issue.

We use multitrack recording with 3 pickups.

No idea why Garageband to stop recording after the same time?

Thanks for your comments or ideas to solve this problem.

It depends on the number of measures. Recording will stop after 9998 measures. If the tempo is high, the length of the record is shorten the with a slower tempo.

Take a look at this page of bullets & OS: http://www.bulletsandbones.com/GB/FAQPages/RecordLength.html

Another limit is the limit of file size of 4 GB for AIFF files, but you would not have reached this limit with only two hours of recording.

  • Equium A100-147: Sonic recorder blocked under Vista

I am told that sonic recorder is blocked due to a driver issue.
There is no way to cure this other than the upgrade I don't want to do.
The thing is I got rid of the sound recorder help adding / deleting thing, but I still get the message of blocked driver. I've got rid of everything to do with
    Sonic, including in the registry.

There are still two programs in the list adding / deleting, but I can't just get rid of them. One of the programs is called "sonic coders" and I said I need a disc.
I never had a drive and he took a left when I
went from xp to vista. The other program is called "sonic DLA" and will simply not respond after I click on uninstall.
Although he does not seem to have any obvious effect on the performance of the pc, it's a real pain having the message there all the time.
Anyone got any ideas what to do?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hello

As a first step, it will be interesting to know what model of laptop you have exactly and is this laptop comes with Windows XP Home or Vista edition. And secondly, can you please tell us more about your information source? Where you got information on the Sonic Software? ;)

  • I can't record new sound effects Director of windows.

I can't record new sound effects Director of windows. I have a recording camera that can record sounds as well, and it works on my laptop, but it totally broke and now I have to use my computer at home. How do you store new sound effects?

If you type tape in the box start the SEARCH Menu you can make use of this program?

See the program Sound Recorder help for more details.

    • To use sound recorder, you must have a card sound and speakers installed on your computer. If you want to record the sound, you also need a microphone (or other audio input device).

    • You can play the audio file is saved on your computer by using a media player program.

Maybe you can install and connect the camera to your computer and use that out there?  Your second computer recognizes the camera?  You may need to install the appropriate drivers for this camera model.

Right-click on the Volume icon near the clock and select the recording devices (when your camera is installed) and see what he says here.

  • How to sample audio hearing re-

For the record, there is the idea, to set the bit depth of 24 bit and 192 kHz sampling frequency. This is to get the best possible recording quality. The size of the file is not under discussion at the moment.

The final product will be an Audio CD on 44.1 kHz and 16 bit.

How hearing re - sample digital 192 kHz and 24 bit 44.1 kHz and 16-bit recording? He put internal digital to analog and then re - scan it to 44.1 kHz 16-bit. Or it will just be in mathematics?

In the case of mathematics own-works, that help to do with 176,4 kHz and 24 bit recording? So there will be just a division by three.

    Or are my unnecessary thoughts?

Classic multitrack recording with Audition CC14 what would you recommend?

If you want to publish classic recordings on CD to 44.1 k, you waste your time anyway to 192 k registration - you might as well save to 44.1 k in the first place and not introduce even the slightest possibility of any degradation of the conversion. I do it: I have been doing for years and has never received a single complaint about it! If you want to save directly in the hearing, then I would record using 32 bit Floating Point - which is the internal format and has a much wider range of dynamic (for purposes of setting) that any integer format will be.

Despite all the arguments incorrect you may have heard otherwise, the chances of hear you even the slightest difference through sampling at ridiculously high rates have been proven by rigorous independent tests, being non-existent. There was a case to do this back in the bad old days of brick wall filtering, but now that almost all converters using massively high levels of oversampling, there is absolutely nothing to be gained at all, unless you save bats for an audience of dogs and cats.

The resampling process is entirely digital. And it is based on the computed interpolation.
