Multyplying by an exhibitor

I need to enter this formula P = [I L (1 + i) ^ n] / [(1 + i) ^ n - 1] in a PDF file.  The only thing I can't understand is the exhibitors.  How can I enter those in the equation?

P = [i L (1 + i)^n] / [(1 + i)^n - 1]

(1 + i) ^ n = Math.pow(1 + i, n)

Math.Pow basically replace the Exhibitor form

  • Text with the letters No. and TM sometimes display as exhibitor.

    On some web pages, words that begin with the letters NOT or include TM were part of the word displayed as an exhibitor. For example, if the sentence starts with the Word no, the part not of the word has triggered o and stressed that it is an abbreviation for the word number. A reference as STM32F103 number will have the letters TM raised as if it were an abbreviation for the word mark.

    I tried to place different fonts and found that specifically put a font while not allowing the site to replace, it avoids the problem. Unfortunately some sites use characters that I can't identify just, so I normally run with the option to allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of using fixed fonts.

    On ebay, for example, I have the problem with the characters superscript. I tried to use Google Chrome is a point of comparison and found that the pages display correctly with chrome, but not with Firefox. Search on Google or Yahoo gives me a results page that does not have the characters superscript.

    Is there something that I am missing in the configuration of Firefox which is the cause? I need like sites to choose their own fonts, because otherwise I find myself with looking for very strange pages (even weirder to have numbers or TM poster evil).

    What the font is used for these characters?

    You right click on a web page and select "Inspect element" to open the Inspector (Firefox/tools > Web Developer).

    • You can check the font used for the text selected in the tab fonts in the right pane of the Inspector.

    You can try different default fonts temporarily disable fonts site to test the selected default font.

    • Edit > Preferences > fonts and colors of content > advanced
    • [] 'Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above'

    You can do a test of fonts to see if you can identify not police work.

  • Exhibitor/index in the Notes?

    I use Notes in El Capitan for course notes which involve mathematical equations.

    Is there a quick way to get (i.e. x-squared) exhibitors and clues?

    Hi Frank

    You can create your own keyboard shortcuts for the exhibitor and clues, and almost any other item of Menu. You can do for "any Application" or a specific Application such as Notes.

    Go to System Preferences > keyboard > App Shortcuts (left column) > shortcuts (tab)

    Click on the icon "+" near the bottom; then in top pop up choose Applications or scroll down to 'Notes' If you select a single application it is the shortcut will be applied to.

    You must use the lettering exactly as it appears in the Menu. Notes Super/index located in the Format > font > Baseline > XX

    In the field type of the title of the Menu "Exhibitor" (without the quotes) click the hotkey field and type what you want to use as a shortcut.

    Pages use Ctrl + cmmd += this. (Attention: you want to use unique not already used shortcuts; or use the shortcut as well as other applications.)

    Click Add

    Now do the same for 'index '.

    Add your shortcut (Pages use Ctrl + cmmd + - (less)) you can use any combo not used by other applications or if you want only for Notes.

    Click on Add.

    Now you have the shortcuts instant keyboard.

    There is also an excellent free app called "cheating" which will show you all the keyboard shortcuts for which window you are in pressing cmmd for a few seconds. This will include everything that you create. Link... https://www.mediaatelier.com/cheatsheet/

    You can also use the tab 'Text' shortcuts to create text expansions.

    Hope this helps, Greg

  • Exhibitor copy of Excel spreadsheet in InDesign table

    Hello

    I have a table in which I placed it in indesign in a table in excel format. However, I have problems with the format exposing only in the first column. It comes to my table in Excel, as you can see, the exponent in the cell 'pulse duration' is here.

    It comes to my table in InDesign:

    The exponent in the "pulse duration" cell has not copied on, however, the exponent in the next two columns copied.

    If anyone has an idea why this happened, it would be a great help!

    Thank you

    I understood the answer to this topic - cells were not copy exhibitors on were to the 'text' format in excel. Cells that brought more exhibitors have been shaped under the name of "general" in excellent. I formatted now all my excel sheet in the General form.

    Thanks for the help everyone!

  • Sequential numbers exhibitor or help we can reference?

    Hi all

    I would use the notes numbers provide (sequential and changes automatically when you add another reference) but I don't want the note. I want to put in the chapter notes.

    Is there an easy way to do this in InDesign? I prefer not having to go by and any number of them in exhibitor hand manually and reorganize as needed.

    Thank you very much!

    Nicole

    You ask about notes? They appear in a list at the end of the chapter.

    InDesign does not support endnotes, but it is a free Peter Kahrel script that will do it for you: convert notes in notes at the end. Peter Kahrel .

  • Is it possible to find and replace the index/Exhibitor in a PDF document in Acrobat?

    I'm trying to convert a massive PDF file into a Word document, but sup/exhibitor is spoil the conversion.

    Specifically, each instance of "CO2" (w / index) in my PDF eventually cut the sentence in various phrases/lines in the converted .docx.

    If I could F & R all the CO2 w / index in: CO2 with or without index, my problem would be solved!

    There isn't really such a thing as subper/index in PDF format. There is just a text of different sizes on different baselines. So, I like the ingenuity of your idea, but I don't think that he can fly.

  • GREP, body text and exhibitors

    Hi guys,.

    How can I do a GREP command that overides a character style, but not touch an exhibitor style I already?

    I imported a large amount of text for a book of 100 pages. Unfortunately, many pages I spent I had a character Style active so that affect the body text body text. It will be very time consuming put several exhibitors to hand so a GREP Comand will be great for this. Here is a picture.

    Thanks for any ideas

    grep superscript.jpg

    Test this on a copy of the file:

    Search for \D and set find shape the body text paragraph style

    Define the change in character style formatting [no]

    This should remove the body of the text except those applied to the figures all styles of character.

  • How to remove all the exhibitors?

    How to remove all the exhibitors of large document?

    I tried to use find/replace and then find format, but I couldn't find the Exhibitor box.

    In find/replace, in Format to find, go to the basic character Formats section and it is in the drop Position down to the right.

  • How to fix the indices or false exhibitors, made with basic changes

    Hi all.

    There is a script on the Forum used to convert locally formatted to character styles - styles script to keep formatting local and CS4

    It's a brilliant script, but as I suddenly discovered (and would have discovered if I read the post more in detail) are that no 'rigged' sub/exhibitors created with basic travel do not work. To quote the other thread:

    The script search attributes such as 'exposing', 'index', 'small caps '. If the small capitals are rigged in the document with marquees in a smaller font, the script won't find them. If the exponent or index is rigged in the document with a smaller font size and a vertical offset, the script won't find them.

    Initially I didn't this would never be a problem... I thought "that Devil would be a hint or an exhibitor how? wouldn't they just click on the buttons on the index or superscript? » ... Unfortunately, no!

    I thought that a solution would be to do a GREP which could be added to a findchangebylist script bundled with InDesign. First thing to do would be to create a GREP to find any positive base change and change it by exposing. and a GREP for search all negative vertical offset and replace it with a clue. Sounds simple... until I tried to implement, as the dialog box will not take a + or - in itself... There must be a correct value.

    Everyone has faced this problem, and if so, what was the solution and results?

    Colin

    OK, this last forum link I referred to as she had the thing... kind of. Just had to modify the script that was used.

    The script below will find all vertical offset greater than 0 and apply a format local Exhibitor; and any reference pass less than 0 and apply a local index format.

    for (var j = app.activeDocument.stories.length - 1; j >= 0; j--) {
    myCharacters=app.activeDocument.stories[j].characters.everyItem().getElements()
    var color = myCharacters[j].fillColor.name;
    for (var h = myCharacters.length- 1; h >= 0; h--) {
      if (myCharacters[h].pageItems.length < 1){
          if (myCharacters[h].baselineShift > 0){
               myCharacters[h].baselineShift = 0;
               myCharacters[h].position=Position.SUPERSCRIPT
               }
          if (myCharacters[h].baselineShift < 0){
               myCharacters[h].baselineShift = 0;
               myCharacters[h].position=Position.SUBSCRIPT
               }
          }
       }
    }

    From here, the good ol 'preptext' script allows then track down the sub/supers and apply styles of character appropriate for them.

    Hope others find it useful.

    Hello

    2nd part of your coding do the work independently on the position of the character - that's why.

    Include

    app.findTextPreferences.position = Position.NORMAL;

    While you are wagering requirements in part 2

    More or less...
