Vicky Quick: The contact form for the sites of the Muse does not have my clients to meet the person who contacted them. It updates their address at the top, forcing them to cut and paste the person seeking information. How do I change the answer to the field in the contact form and which is even an option?   • Muse Contact forms in GoDaddy

    It is a serious matter. Some of my clients have accounts with GoDaddy for hosting. The simple contact form DOES NOT WORK. The message is sent, and then everything disappears. Please someone Adobe Muse answer why this is happening and what can be done to correct this situation. It is extremely important that these forms work correctly in third party hosting. And please don't tell me I have to go through a solution of the complex HTML module.

    The forms are sent to and address with the same domain name, email, so it's not the question.

    It is a very frustrating situation.

    I would like to summarize, you don't waste time. Order form the Muse worked on the smtp Protocol, you need two things: 1) if traffic is important, you will need your own SMTP server. You should buy software (public SMTP is not reliable), being able to install and configure. (2) you must change the code in form.php, make a backup of this file and upload it to the server whenever you make a change on the site of Muse.

    It is easier to use only one-third of hosting supporting php and php mail.

    I think I found the problem. My site is hosted with 123reg, but the email address is with zoho. I need the instructions following, but for 123reg as opposed to godaddy. Any ideas where I can get these? I looked at my 123reg channel, but I do not see where to do that.

    1. If you are hosting is GoDaddy and you form e-mail address is to a non-GoDaddy email account, you will need to activate the 'rare' mail in cPanel. (A similar change may be necessary on other hosting providers).
    1. Access your cPanel on GoDaddy.  This is where you manage your web hosting.
    2. On the main page of cPanel, scroll up to where it says ": Email".
    3. Click on "MX", which is located just below the 'accounts '.  This is the mail server setting.  By default, GoDaddy assume you are using a GoDaddy mail account.
    4. Make sure that the "remote mail server" is enabled.

    By default, GoDaddy assumes that you will welcome your emails via GoDaddy.  If you have configured an e-mail address for your shape in the Muse that isn't an e-mail address hosted GoDaddy, GoDaddy and then do not accept by default. You must give permission to GoDaddy to send a form to what GoDaddy considers that an email "at a distance".

    When I fill out the form - I get an error

    "The server has encountered an error.

    I read that I get this error because I don't have PHP set up properly...

    The site is hosted on a windows machine that has installed on this PHP and SMTP is enabled.

    But it's all that I know - what else do I need to do for files PHP to get this form send files php PHP installation or by mail?

    Till now Muse have not this option by default, so you won't be able to do this in Muse.

    However, you are right if you can recode .php scripts for form after exporting HTML from Muse, you can achieve your goal.

    I get this message back to me.

    My clients, who use the google mail, do not get shipments of form.

    They use emails with a matching domain name. @ !

    I checked the site settings, but I don't see any user added to receive notification with gmail, I think that you get this message for users who submit the form of site before.

    If a user sends invalid e-mail or if the mailbox is full or if the server does not accept e-mail from other areas, then you will receive this message.

    Is it possible scroll to an anchor point to hit the submit button in a contact form? I have a personalized "Thank you" section under the section of the contact form. I want the site to scroll to it hitting the submit button.

    Hello Jlborhez,

    You can do it with in the muse contact form widget.

    In the Panel options of contact form you select 'Name' in the menu drop-down of "after sending'.

    Please look at the screenshot below. Also, make sure that there is sufficient space under the anchor point to scroll upward.
