  Baseline account BC does not any customizations. Unless you are willing to pay for a pro account, you can do none of this. and even in this case you must use the functions and widgets provided by BC as extended forms long before entering custom PHP.

  Assuming that there no error or warning earlier in the download process, you should check with your hosting provider that PHP is installed and activate your account.

  As part of the download process Muse downloads a small test using FTP .php file, then load it down with HTTP to confirm the file was available and ran PHP code. This criterion is apparently a failure on your hosting.

  to confirm that it is the white space, check the length of returned variables to see if they are more than 2.

  I have a program that loads the PHP variables.  At the end of the day, I will be responsible for producing the PHP but I have to be sure that the flash load variables.  In my own tests using a simple PHP file, once the variables are laoded, subsequent changes to the variables don't have not recorded until I cleared my cahce.  I was leading these test on my local server so maybe that is not a question online.

  But if anyone has any knowledge about this or knows how to make sure new variables are loaded each time the flash application to load PHP, I'd be gateful for the information.

  If you asssign a random variable to the url string for the php file it does not load the cache... something like...

  Here are a few things you can do additional tests:

  (1) when you download the newsletter, it is in PDF format?

  (A) on your Mac, you may need to name the file downloaded with a .pdf at the end of the file name extension so that it can open in Adobe Reader (or an extract or other PDF reader that you use).

  (B) on your PC, can you say display the newsletter if it's displaying in the plugin Adobe Acrobat, PDF Viewer integrated Firefox or another plugin?

  (2) more suggestions if necessary.

  Thanks much for the reply, cor - el. I've been teaching myself PHP for the last month or two, so I downloaded on my PC at home of Apache and PHP files are mine. In fact, the problem of multiple tabs started right after I updated Firefox to version earlier this week. The strange thing is that the same PHP files open perfectly fine before the update.

  In any case, I found a workaround on www.bleepingcomputer.com. Instead of double-clicking the PHP file, which causes the problem of multiple tabs, I type the path of the PHP (for example, localhost/index.php) file in the URL in Firefox toolbar. The file works as before without having to open the tabs. It is not an ideal solution, but it will do for now.

  I use windows xp. There was a file type "php" but used with 'Print Shop quick print' which I removed because of the conflict. I want the "php" that is used with "hyper text preprocessor. I tried just to add "php" as a new type of file, but without any criteria, I don't think that it is recognized.

  What do you do with your php files?  What application you want to use to handle (for example, modify) them? Normally, the php files are used by php on a web server engine. If you want to edit or create php files, you can use the Notepad Notepad ++or application such as Dreamweaver web development.

  Assuming that you have an application in mind that you want to use to open the php files, the best thing to do is:

  • Find a php file
  • Right-click on it and select open with > choose program
  • Locate the executable file of the application you want to use
  • Check the box "always use this program to open this type of file.
  • Click OK

  However, Windows uses the file extension to determine what application should be used to open a file when you double-click the file or choose 'Open' from the context menu.  That a single application can be associated with a file extension given... but this does not mean that different applications may not use the files with the same extension.

  Go on filext.com and get no matter what file extension.  Many - including php - are associated with several different applications.  It is not a problem except for the double-click behavior.
