Hello deadbonehunter

The Scanjet 3300 is a commercial scanner and consumer advice. I suggest you post in the HP Business Support forum for a better chance to find a solution.

    Hello

I was offered an upgrade of windows 10 on my laptop that is running windows 7, but my wifi button was not working when I installed 10 windows so I started 7 what can I do? It is an Acer Aspire 5920 G (old enough)

    Thank you.

There could be a problem with the wifi driver that comes with Windows 10. I think that you first need to find the right driver for Windows 10 on the Acer site. Otherwise, you may need to install a usb wireless card.

  • the presentation of the screen on my monitor is slightly off center with a thin black line on the left hand side. Ho can I fix this. I am running Windows 7 with a monitor Samsung SyncMaster SA10

The presentation of the screen on my new monitor is slightly biased with a thin black line on the right hand side which makes it awkward hitting the back button on the upper left side of the screen. How can I adjust this?  I am running Windows 7 on a new Compaq PC with AMD Vision and monitor Samsung SyncMaster SA10.

    Any suggestions to adjust welcome.

    Thank you.

The monitor must have menu on the side or the bottom buttons - in the find menu where you can adjust the horizontal position of the image.

Increasing or decreasing the horizontal value will move the image left or right. When it is centered properly, you can exit the monitors.

You can get your hands on a videocard GeForce 6200 AGP 128 MB or an ATI radeon 9600 128 MB AGP video card you will be able to run all the features of Windows 7, including Aero.

Your current graphics card is not able to DX9 and it is a requirement for the graphics of Windows 7 run as expected.

  • This computer is not running windows genuine with error HrOffline: 0x8004FE21.

Original title: this computer is not running genuine windows...

So, I had this PC for about 3 years now, and even more. Since this computer was bought so long ago and not even by me, but my mother, I don't know where all the CD or have papers for it. However, I know for a fact that this computer IS running Windows. I've never had this problem before. It started to appear about 4 days ago. I read everywhere and I'm not entirely sure what I need to do about it because it seems that there are many different solutions to this problem. The only new thing I added to this computer was wifi. I added a TP-Link 450 Mbps Wireless-N dual band PCI Express Adapter. TL-WDN4800 model number. I had to open the computer, put it in and install the stuff that goes with it. I did about a week or two before this message starts to appear. I don't know if this could be the reason for the message «this computer is not running genuine windows...» "is displayed.

  • Windows XP with Virtual PC mode will not be installed / two problems

    Hello!
I have Windows 7 Pro (64 bit) and I want to follow the instructions here:

    https://www.Microsoft.com/Windows/Virtual-PC/Download.aspx?runGenuineCheck=true&system=5&lang=4&ButtonClicked=winXpMode

to install and run Virtual PC so I can see if some legacy XP software I have will work.

FYI, I use a Lenovo W520 laptop with an i7 to 2.4 ghz with 8 GB of RAM.

I followed step 1/2 and downloaded the file of 500 MB for Windows XP Mode.  I installed it.

: #1 there is a note at the bottom of the page that says "once you have installed Windows XP Mode, click the Windows 7 start button, then select all programs > Windows Virtual PC > Windows XP Mode to begin the installation." For more information about how to configure Windows Virtual PC and Windows XP Mode, see "Running Windows XP Mode with Windows Virtual PC" on page Support and videos . "

I am looking at the view of all programs and there is absolutely nothing that says "Windows Virtual PC" or "Windows XP Mode".  I look at the programs and features in the control panel and indeed, Windows XP mode is installed (and taking up 1.13 GB).  I have uninstall and re-download the 500 MB file and reinstall it.  It is not always appear in the sight of all programs, does not add an icon to my bar quick launch or desktop or anything that suggests a way to start.  It is located in C:\Program Files\Windows XP Mode, but there is no executable file it.

Problem #2: Step 3 says "Download Windows Virtual PC".  When I click on this button, the download starts, but never works (I tried several times, notably after a clean reboot, with nothing other than the execution of Internet Explorer); I get an error window that says:

    Windows Update Standalone install

Setup has encountered an error: 0 x 80070422

The service cannot be started, either because it is disabled or because it has no enabled devices is associated to him.

    What's not?

    Thank you.

Notes; After the announcement of this issue, some Associates questions skipped upward and I read through them.  Points of a post on this forum-> http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/8247-windows-xp-mode-install-setup.html , which suggests that the #2 problem is my problem because I followed along until ste #5-E and then I get the error message 0 x 80070422.

  • If I create a preinstallation of Windows 7 environment and run Windows Defrag with the switch/w, be it defragment files XP defragmentation analysis shows that "good behaviour"?

I'm trying to defragment all the last possible file on my hard drive.  I was quite the journey of optimization, learning of virtual disks, ReadyBoost, command line and optimization of registry TCP, swap file optimization (investment strategy) and now for anti-virus and defragmentation preinstallation environments.

I find it very difficult to get a defragmentation program to try to defragment files, he thinks that he can not touch.

I learned today how to create a 64 - bit Windows 7 PE with inclusion of work from the command line defragmentation file and wonder if it will cooperate with me or not.

And Yes, I know that some people balk at the idea of a no failure or PE defrag mode, but I insist.  There are too many files cannot be modified running in a normal Windows environment, as well as in a safe-mode start environment.

I learned the true benefits of defragmentation via the use of hard disks in very low yield (that is another story) and want to optimize my installation in my hobby of tinkering with the software.

What is the problem with that?

    Thank you very much.

There are third-party defrag programs with more options than the buit in defrag.

Like I said it was just an observation
