Idle

HELP PLEASE!

Thank you

Hi @chutesjenk,

Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed that your HP Photosmart 7510 remains in sleep mode when I try to print from your Mac. I'm sorry to hear that, but I'm happy to help you with this problem of connection!

Just a few questions for you, if you don't mind: which version of Mac OS X are you using? If you do not know the operating system you are using, please visit this site. Whatsmyos.

Also, you can make copies with the printer? Copy of a multi-page Original. (In this way we will know that the hardware is fully functional).

In the meantime, please see printing this guide, your HP printer print jobs are stuck in the print queue.

I hope hear from you soon!

  • L50-B-1 p 1 satellite graphical artifacts when you play.

    Nice day

Bought a refurbished Satellite P L50-B-1 1 almost 3 weeks (20 days to be precise).

At startup, the laptop preform as expected, however if left running for a period of time and you can start any application that allows the secondary GPU, AMD Radeon R7 M260 in this case, some graphical artifacts vertical are present.

The only way to get past this is to do a windows restarts.

GPU drivers have been updated and all the other drivers and BIOS.

Don't think that it is associated with temperature, such as in most of the cases the laptop remained idle.

Any ideas or advice on this matter will be greatly appreciated.

    Hello

Have you tried to test with external display or TV? It would be interesting to know if this problem is visible on internal or external display as well.

If possible, test and send feedback.

  • Pilot Windows 10 for al2002w

I use an AL2002W monitor with my 32-bit computer.  It is connected from a DisplayPort output to an adapter to the DVI - D monitor entry.  Whites out monitor intermittently, often enough it's causing programs to be unusable at times.  Sometimes the question flashes on / off power for about one second at a time, and sometimes it will remain idle for several seconds.  I don't want to 'off', the monitor is turned off the power, it is simply losing all the Visual effects.  Looking up my display settings and the adapter in Windows 10, I see that my monitor is not recognized, he simply called a 'generic PnP view', and the refresh rate is at 59 Hertz.  I spent 60 several times, but it keeps coming back to 59.  I would like to know where I can get a driver for the monitor, because the only listed by Acer is for Vista (64 and 32-bit versions), and I rather would not try that if there is something more recent or closer to the compatibility of Windows 10.  Any help with my situation would be very much appreciated, thank you for your time.

PS Also, I wish I could refine my parameters display a bit, to see if something works just outside of recommended beaches, if possible, except that any manual I found online for the AL2002W shows an arrangment of button front slightly different from mine, and complicates the navigation in the OSD menu.  My button layout is: Page (possibly menu?) symbol, arrow down, negative, positive symbol symbol/Auto and symbol of power.

My DVI - D DisplayPort cable arrived much earlier than expected and has resolved my intermittent loss of visuals.  I have not yet checked the solution 59Hz you suggested, but the screen seems to work very well, I suspect the DVI - D adapter DisplayPort that I used previously was the culprit, perhaps, he was not shielded well and was interference or something.  In any case, thank you very mcuh for your time and effort and feel free to mark this as resolved issue.

Try to hit the power button.
You have the screen saver which in this case the default windows screen savers value to turn on if your computer remains idle for x number of minutes.
If you want to change that...
Right-click on the open office space > Personalize > screen saver > topic screen saver, make you changes it > click OK when finished.

  • How to keep track of who uses what VM?

We have lots of virtual machines on our esx servers and lots of people use. Due to the nature of our work, most remain idle "just in case". If we need to stop for some reason, we need to open up a console and sit and look at the screen to see if the windows open or if the cursor moves. What I want to do is to find a way to see what the user uses what vm (in other words to see who has what VM open in a console by / about doing something).

Help, links, articles, scripts or tips would be greatly appreciated.

If you only want to see which connected to a console of a virtual computer, you can try

    Get-VIEvent-beginning (Get-Date). AddDays(-7) - MaxSamples ([int]: MaxValue) |

    where {$_-is [VMware.Vim.VmRemoteConsoleConnectedEvent]} |

    Select CreatedTime,UserName,@{N='VM'; E={$_. Vm.Name}}

  • Take the OCAJP 7 (1Z0-803) now or wait for 8 OCAJP (or similar)?

I intend to take the exam of OCAJP 7 1Z0-803. But since JDK 8 was released, I think that Oracle will come out of the JAVA Programmer exam based on JAVA 8 soon.

They could even provide updated JAVA 7 to 8, but will cost just extra money since JAVA 8 exams may be available soon.

So, should I wait OCAJP 8 & get the latest knowledge (and certification) or give the review OCAJP 7 & wait for his upgrade to JAVA 8?

Also any beta exams available for JAVA 8 that I should consider?

I generally do not recommend that to your certification plans on hold while you wait for Oracle University release a review.  They may well not release examination six months (maybe more - probably not much less).  Once it is released, the exam will be in beta for 3-4 months.  Then once it is beta, there will be a wait of three months while the OU uses the test results to determine where the review need to be corrected before it will go to the production (and know you whether or not you have passed).  Essentially, you might be looking at a year from now, give or take a few months, before you could possibly be certified in Java 8.

In addition, Java 8 is not that most of the applications are developed at this time. It is not this that companies looking for people certified at this time.  In a few years, the market for people with Java 8 knowledge will pass.  For now, I would recommend complete your certification of OCAJP 7.  When the beta for version 8 comes out, you could go ahead and take - because the cost of the review will be low and most of what you have learned in the review of the v7 will apply.  However, remain idle pending the review of version 8 is displayed.

  • Purge logs archiving on things primary and Standby and for Data Guard RMAN

Hi, I saw a couple of orders in regard to the purge archive records in a Data Guard configuration.

    Set UP the STRATEGY of SUPPRESSION of ARCHIVE to SHIPPED to All RELIEF;

    Set UP the STRATEGY of ARCHIVELOG DELETION to APPLIED on All RELIEF;

Q1. The above only removes logs archiving to the primary or primary and Standby?

Q2. If deletions above archive logs on the primary, is it really remove them (immediately) or does the FRA to delete if space is needed?

    I also saw

    CONFIGURE ARCHIVELOG DELETION POLICY TO SAVED;

Q3. That what precedes, and once again it is something that you re primary side?

I saw the following advice in the manual of Concepts of data protection & Admin

Configure the DB_UNIQUE_NAME in RMAN for each database (primary and Standby) so RMAN can connect remotely to him

Q4. Why would I want my primary ro connect to the RMAN Repository (I use the local control file) of the standby? (is this for me to say define RMAN configuration settings in the Standby) manual

Q5. Should I only work with the RMAN Repository on the primary or should I be also in things in the deposits of RMAN (i.e. control files) of the standby?

Q6. If I am (usually mounted but not open) Physics, of standby I able to connect to its own local repository for RMAN (i.e. control based on files) while sleep mode is just mounted?

Q7. Similiarly if I have an old lofgical (i.e. effectively read-only), to even connect to the local RMAN Repository of Eve?

Q8. What is the most common way to schedule a RMAN backup to such an environment? example cron, planner of the OEM, DBMS_SCHEDULER? MY instinct is cron script as Planner OEM requires running the OEM service and DBMS_SCHEDULER requires the data runs?

    Any idea greatly appreciated,

    Jim

The above only removes logs archiving to the primary or primary and Standby?

When CONFIGURE you a deletion policy, the configuration applies to all destinations archive

including the flash recovery area. BACKUP - ENTRY DELETE and DELETE - ARCHIVELOG obey this configuration, like the flash recovery area.

You can also CONFIGURE an archived redo log political suppression that newspapers are eligible for deletion only after being applied to or transferred to database backup destinations.

If deletions above archive logs on the primary, is it really remove them (immediately) or does the FRA to delete if space is needed?

Its a configuration, it will not erase by itself.

If you want to use FRA for the automatic removal of the archivelogs on a database of physical before you do this:

    1. make sure that DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST is set to FRA - view parameter DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST - and - setting DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST_SIZE

    2. do you have political RMAN primary and Standby set - CONFIGURE ARCHIVELOG DELETION POLICY to APPLY ON ALL STANDBY;

If you want to keep archives more you can control how long keep logs by adjusting the size of the FRA

    Great example:

    http://emrebaransel.blogspot.com/2009/03/delete-applied-archivelogs-on-standby.html

All Oracle is worth a peek here:

    http://emrebaransel.blogspot.com/

That what precedes, and once again it is something that you re primary side?

I would never use it. I always had it put it this way:

    CONFIGURE ARCHIVELOG DELETION POLICY TO APPLIED ON ALL STANDBY;

I would use only 'BACKED UP' for the data protection system. Usually it tell oracle how many times to back up before removing.

Why would I want my primary ro connect to the RMAN Repository?

Because if you break down, you want to be able to backup there, too.

Also if it remains idle for awhile you want.

Should I only work with the RMAN Repository on the primary or should I be also in things in the deposits of RMAN (i.e. control files) of the standby?

Always use a database of catalog RMAN with Data Guard.

If I am (usually mounted but not open) Physics, of standby I able to connect to its own local repository for RMAN (i.e. control based on files) while sleep mode is just mounted?

Same answer as 5, use a catalog database.

Similiarly if I have an old lofgical (i.e. effectively read-only), to even connect to the local RMAN Repository of Eve?

Same answer as 5, use a catalog database.

What is the most common way to schedule a RMAN backup to such an environment? example cron, planner of the OEM, DBMS_SCHEDULER? MY instinct is cron script as Planner OEM requires running the OEM service and DBMS_SCHEDULER requires the data runs?

I think cron is still, but they all work. I like cron because the database has a problem at work always reports its results.

    Best regards

    mseberg

    Summary

Always use a database with RMAN catalog.

    Always use CRF with RMAN.

Always set the deletion «To APPLY ON ALL STANDBY» policy

DB_RECOVERY_FILE_DEST_SIZE determines how long to keep the archives with this configuration.

  • Creation-> Media Encoder is right here

Beyond despair: running Windows Vista 64 bit, CS4, 2.83 processor, 8 GB of RAM, video card 4850 series, working with AVCHD.

The other day, I exported the movie 1h43min very well. It took nearly 29 hours, but it exports nevertheless (exported mv2 to burn DVDs). I had heard that Media Encoder update to 4.1 might speed up things a bit. I had previously decided to not upgrade until the end of my project, but hoping to save time on export, I went ahead and upgraded.

I can open Premiere Pro very well (despite this measure nearly 10 minutes to load completely all media). Can rub through, can play all this very well. I go to export and select my settings:

MPEG2-DVD, quality 5, chose Max rendering quality, Bitrate: 3.5 min, average 6.5, 8 max. These are the same settings that I had used the earlier successful export.

I send the file over SOUL and it opens just fine, just like before. The ImporterProcess.exe charge up on the RAM until it levels out. I hit the button encode, and after a few minutes, the loading data. However, at this time, it 'freezes' for lack of better. The encoding process has begun, but the progress bar does not move, the RAM system does not move, and processors remain idle. I waited 8 hours, nothing. Have tried different settings in recent days with no change in results. Let me be clear however, that it does not crash. He's right there.

Now, I started a new project and just tried exporting a short video with precise adjustments of same 1 minute. Works very well.

I missed my deadline, and I have no idea what to say agents tomorrow. Whatever it is would help! Before uninstalling the entire suite, using the Adobe tool to remove every last bit of the history of the update and reinstall to see if that gets things back to normal, I have no idea what to even try.

You could try to import the old project and then former sequences in the new project instead of copy/paste of nesting.

  • Dialog architecture

I'm playing with the idea of building a web application using FB2. There could be more than a hundred in the final application possible dialogs. My thought is that I place dialog boxes in a ViewStack and activate as needed using AS logic. Is this the best approach? Will this slow down the display of design to a crawl?

What is an idle child container in a ViewStack do before be activated? If it is loaded into memory? It reacts to events? He call for data binding, or it does not remain idle?

I approach this from a Flash perspective, so it's all a bit confusing to me.

    Thank you!

In fact, a viewstack will be a very effective way to do this because it uses deferred instantiation. The views of the child are not rendered at all until they are read. Thus it will not respond to events, and links will be will be done only when he saw.

After the first viewing it behaves normally. This solution works very well, especially if, during a special session, a user experiences only a subset of the entire list.

Do not set creationPolicy = "all", this instantiation deferred losses.

  • Portege R500 stops after idle period

    Hello
I have a R500 since March, a very annoying problem: when it is idle and I started working, the PC "awakens" and everything's fine. But after some time (1 minute, more or less) it automatically stops. I have disabled hibernation mode and it still happens.

A colleague with the same problem advised me to bios of grade of 1.5 to 1.6 (which I already have) and I still have the same problem. My helpdesk said the PC must be sent to Toshiba, but fact coleague one another with the same problem, and the problem remains. What should I do?

    It happens to someone else?
Thanks in advance for your advice!

    Hello

You need to check if the same happens with the new installed OS from the Toshiba Recovery disk

If it will happen again the laptop must be verified by an ASP in your country!

Sorry, but this is certainly not a common question and the laptop must be verified.

  • Tecra A11-126 - can't leave mode "idle"

    Hello

I have a problem with a Tecra A11-126. When the laptop has to start at the "idle" mode, it nothing"happens." The screen remains black, the fan is going strong, but the small LED lights green (in front of the laptop next to the stop/sur-symbole). The only thing I can do is to restart the laptop using the button Off / On.

Do you have any suggestions for me, why this is happening?

    Best regards
    Anna

    Hey,.

Wait a moment please, it s a bit confused

What do you mean with "idle" mode? You shut down the computer, or was it in the Hibernate or standby mode?

And what LED you mean exactly that green switches? On the left side of the power CONDUIT it s the AC adapter LED and across battery LED.

Then, you talk about restarting the laptop using the / disable the button. This means that the laptop starts properly if you do this or have you noticed the same problem then?
