  I have a problem with my HP 6280 All in One Printer. There are a few problems and it's really annoying, I wonder if anyone can prove useful please?

  I uninstalled the software and drivers for the Photosmart series C6200 of the site, and when re installation, the software starts uninstalling itself and gives the following message:

  "Error - wstub 197370'

  "Fatal error during Installation"

  And then starts to uninstall the entire software package and then request to restart to uninstall complete.

  Once restarted, the whole scenario goes in a loop that is the uninstall process? Very confusing indeed and have never experienced this kind of problem before!

  Then I would erase the temp directory.

  I'm retiring my all-in-one HP Photosmart C3140 printer/scanner. Is there a way to reset it completely, reformat or erase all the settings and memory on the machine, especially all preliminary scans?

  I scanned documents with the bank details, social security numbers, etc. on the device, and want to be sure, that it is perfectly clean before giving. (That, or I guess I'll take a hammer to the old fashioned way!)

  I have a HP 2542, it's for my dad, he wants to use it only as a standalone Copier, no pc attached, just lift the lid put the papoer to press on print, then get a copy at the other end. How simple is that? BUT the scanner will scan only of letter size and the original is A4 so the end of Moose is off, how do I change the scanning a4 area? This should be so simple and yet I can not find where to change it! I installed the printer on my laptop, but all the settings I found said A4 already, but the printer scans stubbornly letter!
