My changes of window when Windows changes [win10] wallpaper

Hello, when you use Thunderbird, when I open a new window (such as a new message, an event, a search, etc.), this window is what I call the active window. I type in this new window, then - it's gone. This happens when my Windows 10 cycles to the next image wallpaper. I continue to type, but I'm no longer in this window. I'm brought back to the "main window" where I have my messages and calendar. Sometimes those who continued to strikes cause problems such as the movement of messages and new files (which I didn't of course). I then pick up my old window active to continue what I was doing.

I have not seen this happen in any other application Windows 10, but Thunderbird is one where I have several windows usually open (new message, new event, being typed etc.). When I put a picture of unique background on my desktop the problem disappears.

Is it possible to fix this?

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Hi, when I change my wallpaper or display the taskbar then restarted windows 7 (asus laptop) taskbar autohide, and change wallpaper unwelcom why I don't

    Hello

This who exactly are you referring to when you say "change unwelcom why I do?"

If the taskbar is hidden, point to where you saw last it show again. If you don't remember where you saw it, try pointing to the bottom of the screen first, then to the sides or top of the desktop, if necessary. You may need to move the pointer almost off the desktop computer to show the taskbar.

  • Impossible to change the wallpaper in Windows 7 Starter.

original title: Windows 7 Starter wallpaper!

Seriously one you can't change the wallpaper on Windows 7 starter. Of course, that I understand that this version of Windows is expected to be very light on has to run smoothly on netbooks... but F---ing screen? Microsoft remembers that they always write operating systems right? My dinosaur, Nokia cell phone from 5 years ago allow you to change the wallpapers.  They left the gadget feature but no background screen! This really proves to me that Microsoft has absolutely no idea of what they do.  Windows 7 comes on just about all netbook now from this current holiday season.  So here's my question... Why would anyone want a netbook windows 7 when XP (earlier than prior windows operating system 7) had more features it does? Apple is looking for better and better. I don't even have a netbook for Christmas, and even though I really wanted one, I'm very happy that I don't have. I'm not going to get one at all now if its windows 7 on it.  I'll wait for the Apple tablet, and that's all.  What do you mean Microsoft?

    Hello socratesman,

Thank you for visiting the Microsoft answers community.

In Windows 7 Starter, you are not allowed to change the wallpaper. You can't even replace the image by default by another because the system compares the hash of file of your background desired with the hash of the file of the default wallpaper.

You need to upgrade to a more full version of Windows 7:

  • Can't change the wallpaper on windows 7 ultimate x 64

The problem is that I can't change my wallpaper (I have in the past).

I can't change it via the Customize menu (I choose other wallpapers, but the new wallpaper is not displayed).  I also tried to change my custom theme default theme and still does not change the wallpaper.  It also does not work when I get clickl on an image and select use as background. (my account is a type of admin)

However I change it when I use the local and updated Group Policy Editor 1 default wallpaper for all accounts.

But when I create a new user and try to change its desktop background it works.

type of Windows: windows 7 ultimate x 64

    I hope someone can help.

Sorry for my English is not my mother tongue.

I went to C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes and removed all the content and after reboot I could change my wallpaper again.

  • I can't change my wallpaper to something other than a solid color - Windows 7 Pro 64-bit

    I am running Windows 7 64-bit SP1.

I can't change my wallpaper to display something other than a selected solid color. However, while restarting, a selected background image appears for a little while.

I tried to change the themes without success. I tried a lot of different things. This shouldn't really be a problem. Any thoughts/ideas?

    Hello

    1. Can you see the list of wallpaper in Desktop System Properties?
    2. Recently made changes to your computer? Is there an error while changing the wallpaper?
    3. Right-click on any photo image and select 'set as wallpaper '. Check what is happening?
    4. Are you able to see the desktop icons? have you checked if the problem persists in another user?

Following steps below can help you to solve your problem:

    • Navigate to the following location:

    C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Themes\TranscodedWallpaper.jpg

    • Delete the file TranscodedWallpaper.jpg.
    • Restart the system once.
    • Now, try to change the wallpaper.

    Hope it will work.

    Hi Dena B,.

Me and my boyfriend have both administrator accounts, but my boyfriend is the main administrator account. I went on his account and tried to change it and it remained has changed in his narrative. So I downloaded a new theme in his account and selected one to use. Then disconnected and logged into my account and tried again and it worked. I can now use the new theme. And it does not change back. Very strange. Don't know if it will stop working if it goes back to the windows default wallpapers. I hope not.

    Thank you for answer you.

Unfortunately Windows 7 Starter doesn t will allow you to change the wallpaper. This is a limitation of Windows on Windows 7 Starter Edition. The wallpaper can be changed on Windows 7 Home Basic Edition or higher versions.

    Hi shore birds.

    ·         You get the error message?

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Follow the steps in the article.

Options to change the desktop wallpaper may be missing or unavailable on a Windows XP-based computer

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/921049

Note: This section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. • Change the wallpaper off the admin account and the background recording does not

    Hello

I'm having a problem with my background. Whenever I try to put a picture on my computer as background will not be set that image as it is, and when I put a picture of the internet as a background it will fix but don't stay once I restart the computer. This is the case EVERY TIME.

After seeing this happen several times I went to control panel > appearance and personalization > change wallpaper. What I get on this page is a simple line, "this feature has been disabled, please contact your administrator." The problem is I AM the administrator and I have never changed the parameters of the Office to act like that, and I certainly never turn off any of the display settings.

I scoured these forums and I've seen people who have similar problems (but not admin issues I'm having and not the problem with the setting of a local image) and have tried some of the solutions, including going in the ease of access settings > make computer easier to see and to erase the settings is unchecked.

    Help, please!

All the solutions I am about to propose involve not to change the registry. Since it is to change the registry I recommend that you first create a point in http://www.howtogeek.com/howto/windows-vista/create-a-restore-point-for-windows-vistas-system-restore/ restoration system AND back up the registry as follows: http://www.adamsdvds.co.uk/tutorials/vista/regedit/backup.php.  I also want to warn to do at your own risk and peril - I have not tried these procedures myself, so I can't speak to their effectiveness or what other impact that may lead to changes.  But if you do the safety precautions backup two above, you should be able to recover in case this does not work or something you want starts to occur.  The decision (and risk) is your enttirely.

Here is an article with a possible solution: http://www.pchell.com/support/desktopwallpaper.shtml.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's another registry solution that I found in a forum:

Remove after your system using Regedit registry entry. Disconnect and reconnect.

    [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System]
    "Wallpaper"=""

You should be able to change your background now.

    ===================================================================================================================

Here's yet another article on how to solve the problem with yet another type of editing the registry: http://www.tech-pro.net/how-to-change-desktop-wallpaper.html.

I hope that one of these options help.

    Good luck!

  • Cannot create custom themes - change the wallpaper on the evolution of a theme the wallpaper on the other themes without apparent reason.

    Hi all

I am trying to create a bunch of different themes, with various wallpapers and color schemes.

I use right click on desktop-> personalization.

At first, it seemed possible to create different themes by going to the image I want, right click on 'set as wallpaper', then enter right-click-on - desktop-> personalization, right click on the theme "non-registered" now watch the wallpapers, I just chose, then selecting "save us." This appeared to save the theme under personalization-> my themes.

I got up to 5 different themes under "My themes" by doing this.

But now, #5 theme, it works all of a sudden is no longer like that.

Now, when the value a new picture as a wallpaper, it does not change only "Unsaved theme" for new wallpaper, it changes at the same time theme #5 to this wallpaper as well. When I save the new theme theme #6 and then go to change theme #5 to the wallpaper I had originally, it replaces theme #6 as well. It is impossible to change a wallpaper without changing both of them.

I don't understand why it ehaves in this way. Why can't save just a theme and then not have to worry that it will be crushed randomly if I do something else with a completely different theme?

Th information in this link can help you.
