My clips do not always have an "end of Clip icon"... is there a reason for this?

I'm sure I did this experiment with video clips too, but in my current project I only see with audio clips.

This is usually the result of the audio track a whole little longer than the video track - unless the length of an image. Keep in mind that the audio and video use different time bases: video use frames, typically 24-60/second, and audio while using samples, most commonly 44 100 or 48 000 per second. When the end of an audio stream falls between frame re - and the timeline works in frames - Premiere Pro adjusts the closest sound to the full frame. Thus, the end of the Clip indicator is not displayed.

If you pass the timeline to display units of Audio time (via the Panel flyout menu), then you can cut the track element out until the end of the clip
